Tattoos By Oliver

I’ve been getting tattooed by Oliver for a few years now and it’s been an amazing experience. I followed him from his previous shop, because of his complete professionalism and relaxing attitude. He’s always well-​prepared and efficient, but also is very accommodating towards your own ideas.
I never have to feel nervous about longer sessions with Oliver, he makes an effort to always checkup and go the extra mile to make the experience easier (blankets, snacks, silly jokes, words of encouragement) which is something I really value. His work is so impressive and I get stopped on almost a daily basis about it.
Oliver is an artist I would happily recommend to those I love and am absolutely positive they’ll have the same great experience I’ve had. Will be returning to him for many a sessions!

Well to start, let me just say that Oliver is the man! I have been a coming to Oliver for tattoos for a few years now and every time he exceeds my expectations. He is a very talented artist and is extremely professional. Every appointment I’ve had, he makes me feel very comfortable and that’s important when finding a tattoo artist. I’m giving him five stars because no matter how busy he is, he always designs me a unique and beautiful piece. I highly recommend Oliver because not only is he a great artist, he is also very personable and professional.

A friend of mine recommended Oliver after she got several tattoos by him. I emailed him back in July and we set up a time to meet to discuss design and specifically what I wanted. During this meeting Oliver mentioned that he has a $ 100.00 non-​refundable design/​appointment fee. Not thinking anything of it I happily obliged to paying. I was super excited as this was going to be my very first tattoo.
He told me that he would be out of town for about a week and I should expect a design in about a week. A week rolls by and no design. I end up emailing him after two weeks go by and he apologizes and states he has been super busy. Totally understandable so I let it go. A few days later I receive the design from him via email. And it looked as though a 5^th grader drew it and was completely rushed. I was very disappointed. I emailed him and said there a few changes that would need to be done as the design was not what I was looking for. Oliver stated he would redesign it and send it back to me. Several days went by and I never received the re-​design. At this point I became more frustrated and found a new artist who I decided to go with.
I emailed Oliver a few days letter and thanked him for his design and stated that I was disappointed by what was provided and that I would need to cancel my appointment with him as I found someone else to go with. Oliver’s response was «OK».
A few weeks later I started to think more and more about how terrible my experience with Oliver was (especially because the Artist I did go with was amazing and super professional) that I decided I would email him and ask for my deposit to be refunded. I emailed him a few days ago and asked for a refund on the deposit. His response was «The deposit is non-​refundable».
At no point during my email exchanges with Oliver did he try to fix the situation. I found his conduct to be unprofessional. I do not care how many people in the Bay Area want tattoos a business survives on customer service and professionalism. And I felt that Oliver had neither of those. I understand that the deposit was non-​refundable however when I spent $ 200 on the tattoo I did receive the fact that Oliver could not even agree on a partial-​refund, as well as having a very non-​chalant and cavalier demeanor was really disappointing.

Oliver is a great tattoo artist. My girlfriend and I brought him a list of ideas and designs for matching tattoos. He customized each one and made them compliment one another. He shared a draft before our scheduled appointment and adjusted the designs until we were sure that’s what we wanted inked. His work is better than expected and his pricing reasonable. I love our tattoos! My girlfriend needed potty breaks in between and Oliver was good about working with the needs of the customer. He’s new to the Bay Area but the buzz about his work is getting around quick. Book him, he delivers.

Best tattoo artist ever! I have come to Oliver for multiple tattoos and everyone I know have gone to him and all say they will never go to another artist again. He is so talented and produces the most beautiful work I’ve ever seen from a tattoo artist. He does everything from traditional, realistic, stippling, asian, geometric, and anything else you could want. Go to him, you will never want another artist!
