There isn’t much to say except that this guy gives very good haircuts for only $ 12. The whole process takes about 20 minutes which is great in my opinion, because I just want to get in and out of a barber shop. I don’t get anything complicated and I have him cut it short. If you are the same way, check this place out. The wait is almost never a problem. He even uses one of those lint rollers at the end to grab all the loose hair. It’s actually a pretty good idea.

Great little whole in the wall place to get a haircut. It’s super cheap, even though the price went up slightly, used to be $ 10, now $ 12. The owner is really nice and the only barber there and great at cutting hair. If you’re not sure how you want it cut, he will give you his professional advice. I always go with the business haircut 3(short) or 4(long). Also has great convenient hours for the weekends. Always get my haircuts here since trying it out.

Been here several times. Never had a good haircut from here. I took in a picture this time to give him an idea of what I wanted. Just need a fade on the sides. Clearly explained to him, but he still did the opposite and made me look like every other asian kid on the street. will not return.

Great spot for a touch-up haircut or for guys with easy to maintain hair. My roommate usually trims my hair every other time, so it’s nice coming here and having Mr Nguyen pay a little more attention and tell me my sideburns weren’t perfectly straight before cleaning them up. He doesn’t take very long(prefers to stick with the clippers), but has an eye for detail. At $ 15 this would be a 3-star rating, but at $ 10($ 14 with tip) he gets 4.

My GOTO spot for over a year. Started going when I lived in Park Side. Now in the Richmond and drive over. Besides the $ 10, he gives an awesome cut, is thorough and a really nice guy. I always tip him 50%.

Decent cut for $ 10! Mr Nguyen=owner/barber did a good job trimming my noggin & evening out the bald-spots:} He was efficient and thorough – much better than some upscale barbers on Upper Market.

Simply the worst hair cut experience I’ve ever had so far. The barber, I guess is owner didn’t even pay enough attention and tried to get the job done ASAP, because he had another customer waiting. So after 10 minutes he declares that he is done, although I did not get what I requested. I gently asked him to spend a few minutes more and finish my haircut properly, but I was asked to pay twice the regular price if I want to get my hair cut the way I needed. Finally I was told to get out of his shop with an unfinished hair cut. Previous time I went there, I paid $ 10 and left $ 3 in tips. This time I just simply refused to pay for an unfinished job. Highly recommend to find some better place elsewhere with better approach to customer’ needs.

Quick, cheap, and good. I usually have a hard time getting a good cut, this guy did it well the first time, definitely going back.

I’ve been going here for the last four or five years. I’ve been happy with every haircut I’ve ever gotten at Super Haircuts. It’s a very inexpensive but the quality is awesome. Plus the Barber is a very nice dude.

So my boyfriend needed a haircut and since we are both on a super tight budget, I looked up for places that give cheap haircuts with super good quality… This place definitely did exactly what we looked for. At first, the guy was talking about numbered haircuts… like #3, #5, and my bf & I were totally confused. But then my bf explained he wanted a trim that made him look work/interview ready and the guy said he knew exactly what for him & that he promised it would be good. The barber definitely takes his time looking and making sure EVERYTHING is perfect and the quality that he AND my bf liked. He also was telling us everything he was going to do before he did it and explained how he was different from other hair salons. He is also very experienced by doing hair for a LONG time and said going to places like Super Cuts are a waste of money of getting your hair done by inexperienced girls who just got out of school. This is a place that I would definitely recommend people to go to to get a nice clean cut or trim. The barber is super sweet and very nice. It’s a small shop that people would never think about going to when looking at it, but it’s a definite good find. BEFOREWARNED: As what I know about the men, he DOESNOT use scissors. He told us that scissors make the hair uneven and that it makes hair choppy & coarse. The only time he ever uses scissors are for bangs and places that he cannot use the buzzer. He said many people expect him to use scissors and get afraid and leave when he tells them he doesn’t. I definitely trust what he’s doing and there’s no need for a big worry. He won’t let you go out looking like crap.

Small barber shop hidden in the Sunset district. I would never have thought of coming here unless it was recommended to me. My first experience here was a good one. For $ 10 plus tip, I got a decent haircut. When I asked to have my hair shortened, the barber inquired, «#3 or #4?» The confused look on my face said it all and he explained that there were different grades of shortness and showed me the tools he used for each one. Guess you learn something new everyday. Overall, my experience was very good. The guy is very friendly and seems genuinely sincere that I was giving him some business. Would come back again. 4 stars.

A great, cheap haircut! What more could you ask for? I stopped in here about a year ago, when my brother lived just across the street, making it really convenient to go get a cut. I even showed up near closing and wasn’t turned away. My only regret is not going back before my brother moved away(I did try going back one time but he was closed for the New Year’s holiday I believe). A great cut for only $ 10 and very friendly service. If I’m ever in this part of the city again and in desperate need of a cut, I’ll come back here!

Some points, in order of importance to me: 1) I walk out happy with my haircut 2) I paid $ 10, plus tip 3) The L stops half a block away, and nearby are Parkside Market, Guerreros, and Safeway. Dude will tell you when to come back, and you won’t lose your spot among those waiting 4) Actually, it’s rare I have to wait before being seen 5) Dude’s black(vinyl?) butcher-style apron is only slightly-sorta-but-actually-very creepy. 6) The hair model posters around the mirrors make me miss the 80s. 7) Dude’s shop is not a chain. He’s there 7 days a week, cuz that’s his business, and that’s how he makes a living. Props.
