Patty is amazing. Makes great conversation, is swift and efficient but not to the extent where you feel rushed or the quality suffers. I’ve followed her from another spot because she is THAT GOOD. Don’t hesitate if you’re nervous about a first time appointment or have had bad experiences elsewhere. Patty is warm, makes the whole process easy, has all of the right extras (wipes, towels, numbing spray, perfect technique) to make a waxing session go the right way. I’ve never suffered, and you shouldn’t either.

Patty is just awesome all around. As others have said, I’ll follow her wherever she goes too. Waxing and facial services are top notch, very reasonably priced and she definitely spends the time with you on your services and never rushes anything. Seriously, it’s important to have a funny, friendly person ripping hair off of your body and/​or face. Whatever pain you’re supposed to feel, gets drowned out by the fun conversation you’re having with Patty, who really becomes your buddy after a few visits. Location is great with street or garage parking and you can grab a drink or a bite to eat before or after since it’s smack in the middle of J-​Town. I highly recommend you to visit Sugar Skincare for all your waxing and skincare needs, you won’t be disappointed.

I just had my first appointment with Patty & I am so impressed. I usually get my face threaded but I was so over the painful process so I decided to give a full face wax a try. I was lucky enough to call her & get a same day appointment. It was my first time getting a full face wax so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. Let me tell you, the face wax was pretty much painless– in fact if I was lying down I probably could’ve fallen asleep. She knows what she’s doing & she does it well. She makes you feel comfortable and she is so friendly. I wish I would’ve found her earlier– I will no longer go to anybody else for my waxing needs! I’m looking forward to booking a facial with her & maybe even a lash lift! Thank you Patty!

I have followed, and will follow, Patty pretty much anywhere in the city. I have been going to Patty for all things waxing for over two years and she does such a great job. She’s personable and talkative, so you forget she’s pouring hot wax on you and ripping it off. The location is super central and convenient to transportation.
I recommend Patty to all of my friends and will continue to do so, well, at least until it gets too difficult to get an appointment.

I sumbled upon Sugar Skincare by doing a search for bikini waxing in the neighborhood. I read the reviews and wanted someone nearby. Talk about convenience! Patty is located right next door to the Aloha Warehouse, which I never even knew it existed. It was a last minute decision and I was doubtful about being able to get an appointment. But, Patty was able to offer 2:30 or 4:00. I chose to go at 4:00 and she was finishing up on another client’s eyebrows. I had tried waxing once before at another salon and it was just «okay.» Patty’s salon is so cute and pristine. I decided to go for the extended Brazilian this time and was scared, because I hadn’t had one before. But, before I knew it, she was chatting with me, advising me to take a deep breath and blow, while she gently ripped the hairs from the most delicate place on a woman’s body. I was done in 15 minutes and she was amazing! If you have never had a waxing before, try Patty. She’s the BEST! I’d give her 10 stars if I could!

I had one of the best facials. I’ve tried many different places, including LaBelle Spa, intercontinental, Four seasons, Aveda, and this was by far one of the best facials I’ve had.
Patty knew exactly what type of facial my skin needed. She took the time to explain the benefits of each product she used on me and recommended solutions to maintaining my skincare.
In addition, I waxed my lip and eyebrows. The waxing method is sanitary and cleansing. She used a new stick every time and never re-​dipped.
I already booked my second appointment with Patty and will continue to see her regularly.

Superior waxer, she makes you feel comfortable, talks to you so there isn’t silence during what could be super awkward. Love her & the treats she puts out.

Been going to Patty for several years now (when she was at another location). I’m glad she finally decide to go full time at her own place. LOVE her facials! She’s always worked with whatever issues I had with my skin (believe me, there were some major issues).

Patty fixed my eyebrows! Before seeing her, my eyebrows were a bit of a mess. She took the time to evaluate what would be the best for my face and meticulously adjusted my eyebrows back into a lovely, clean, and natural shape for me. She does all my waxing. She has a lot of experience and is great at it.
Her place is cute, comfortable, and sweet like sugar. You’ll be sure to get a relaxing and professional service whether it’s a facial, wax, or massage. If you visit during the weekday, parking is not bad at all.
