Stone Pony

This place is awesome. Rad collection of vintage clothes and hats. Great staff and environment. I frequent this shop maybe to pet the dog or chitty chat with the staff, but I usually end up with a fresh snapback or a snazzy flannel.

Stone Pony is not only the best vintage shop, but arguably the coolest business in the Mission District. (1) Amazing clothes (2) Gorgeous jewels (4) Fair pricing (5) Note worthy advice be it style, music or life.
Not to mention that Coco is the hottest thing West of the Mississippi + a total sweetie. And Ash’s cool yet approachable demeanor will make you want to stay for hours… possibly become a Stone Pony lurker.

I made it a point to wander the Mission’s vintage stores for a day when I stayed there in January, and Stone Pony ended up being the only one I bought anything at. Special shoutout to Twyla, the wonderful gent who works there — we had a great time chatting about women’s clothing (which he wears too), and he kept cheerfully pulling out things he thought I might like to try. Their selection is not large but is well-​curated, the prices are good (I got a sparkly sequinned evening frock for $ 35), and the service is fabulous. Nothing to not like!

Wow I love this place. I just found the sickest old jacket and was greeted by the sweetest dog ever. Poor thing hurt his paw and had a bandage. Staff was super chill and helped me navigate through all the rad vintage clothes to find my girl, my mom, and myself presents.

A really fun little vintage and consignment store in the Mission! We happened to see their sidewalk sign while walking up Valencia, and I’m glad we did, because it turned out to be a great shop to browse through.
It’s not huge, but the stuff is obviously carefully selected for awesomeness and I saw lots of things I would have liked to own that cost just a little bit too much. My boyfriend saw an amazing vintage Hawaiian-​style shirt with a roaring tiger print, but at $ 32 it seemed just a bit too expensive… and the employee said she wasn’t authorized to lower any prices because they were consignment items. Too bad!
In addition to the vintage clothing and accessories, they also carry some gift items like salt lamps and crystal jewelry. In general, the vibe here is kind of country-​boho-​chic, but even though that’s not my personal style at all, I still found some great things here. In the end, I guess I still prefer the thrill of hunting down bargains at thrift stores myself, but this is definitely a cute shop to check out if you’re in the neighborhood.

this place rocks. i walk by it every morning on my way to work and admire the window displays. i finally went in on saturday. i got an incredible pair of boots and fell in love with some dangly earrings that i will be returning for shortly. the guy working was awesome and friendly and googled the brand of my boots for me. i love stone pony!

Super cool vintage clothing and accessories. Mostly for the laaaaaadies, but I’m sure they get a few things in for the fellas, as well. I am one, and happen to know that some other penis-​bearers work there was well.
In addition, who doesn’t love a store that you can purchase vintage jeans, cowboy boots, feathers and a pink crystal rock lamp for your room? Go get one. Its relaxing, calming and more affordable than your therapist.
Oh, and the store operates on a cash-​only basis, cause the owner is a genius.

There’s always a story to discover when walking through the vibrant mission and there’s many fairy tales to be had while strolling through Stone Pony. It’s like a dress up spot for grown ups and each unique vintage piece comes with it’s very own history stored with the possibilities of the places it has been. Unlike most picked-​through thrift shops, everything has been hand selected by the owner with her eye for the kitschy western gal of the 20^th century. Offering a blend of femininity and feisty out-​law gumption, Stone Pony will make you want to kick up your heels, put on a dress and dance.

this place has great prices on a whole store of things that you would will shriek with delight at finding buried in a random thrift store. coco has done an amazing job sourcing, curating, and honing a great style for this store.

This is a gem that you do not want to miss out on, it’s like shopping in your best friends closet, Oh, wait, it really is my best friends closet!!! The owner is one of the most fashion forward people I know while only wearing vintage!!! Her shop reflects this, step one foot inside and you will be memorized by the fact that every single piece is a «one of a kind» that you will covet. All of her stock is rotating because every piece is hand picked by the owner herself. Go in and see what everyone is whispering about as the best vintage store in the Mission!!! I promise you will not be disappointed.

It was pretty dead at work yesterday so I was mindlessly searching on the internet and one of the sites that I check 7×7, had the introduction of The Stone Pony’s store opening in the Mission. At first I thought to myself, «another pretentious overpriced thrift store», just what the Mission needs. But as I read on I decided to go check it out. It was such a beautiful day in the city yesterday. I’m always down to discover new thrift stores since they’re my fave things to do.
As I entered the store, I was greeted by the owner and another worker. This place is super small but they made great amount of space for it. The clothes and accessories are displayed perfectly and not overload. Plus they let me know that they’ll update the inventory weekly. Pieces ranged in price. Small selection of shoes, purses and really pretty jewelry. Also, they was a small rack of a local sf designer. Those pieces were beautiful and not super expensive.
Overall, this store made me feel welcomed and I had a great little shopping experience there. I will be back.

Perfect. A vintage thrift shop with a style so honed in, you’d think you were in Lena Horne’s, Stevie Nick’s and Johnny Cash’s three-​way love child’s bedroom. Classy local jewelry designers and affordable clothing. What a gem! (Literally…there’s gems in here.) Stone Pony is simply enchanting.
