Steph is awesome! I’ve been going to her for years now (women’s short haircut) and each cut is better than the last. If you’re particular about your hair (like me) and need someone who listens to what you want and suggests new things then go see Steph. She’s just great!

Stephanie has been my stylist for the last 5 years. She’s does a great job keeping my long hair looking simple and professional. I started with her at John Brody Salon and wouldn’t have thought twice about moving with her to the new salon! Just over a year ago she did a beautiful balayage on me and I’m loving how it’s still transforming after each trim! Plus, we haven’t even needed to touch up the color and I’m still getting compliments! Go check her out, you won’t be disappointed and your search for the perfect personable stylist will finally come to an end!

This review is long overdue! Stephanie has been my stylist for the past three years or so since she was at John Brody Salon. Her new space on Hayes at Salon Alta is a beautiful and relaxing spa-​like setting that I really love to visit!
I just cannot say enough great things about Stephanie. She is extremely talented at modern coloring and cuts and is a true pleasure to know. She is so positive and inspiring to spend any amount of time with and always leaves me feeling beautiful and chic. She is constantly exploring new methods and styles as well as new products that are the best for different types of hair, keeping my color-​treated hair healthy and shiny.
We have recently been finding ways to incorporate fun colors (purple and coral so far) into my blonde while still maintaining a professional look that I can feel comfortable with in my downtown office setting it is really fun! Stephanie knows my hair so well that I feel completely confident just showing up and letting her do whatever she thinks would look great on me, and she always delivers! She even did my hair AND make up for my engagement party, wedding, and separate reception — my fancy updo stayed in place even through the Thriller dance!
If you are looking for anything from a basic traditional cut to something new and funky, Stephanie can do it all. She is a real pleasure to know and is a true pro at her craft. Thank you Stephanie for making at least one thing in life an easy choice!

I have found that developing a trusting relationship with my stylist is essential to achieve healthy happy hair; especially post 40 as my hair loses some of it’s original sheen. Stephanie is a wonderful listener and has a knack for transforming concepts and ideas into reality. She is constantly improving her skill set, taking classes and seminars that keep her current. I’ve been thrilled with the products that I take home as well. I highly recommend Stephanie, she is a gem!

Stephanie is the best, really though. I’ve been seeing her for over 5 years now and would recommend her to any guy or girl who’s looking for a new stylist. I get tons of compliments on my hair and people are constantly asking where I get it cut. Enough about me…
Stephanie is great! She’s always talking about new styles but never recommends something that doesn’t fit your personal style or look. Aside from cutting great hair, she’s so full of positive energy and it makes for a great experience each time I see her.

I’ve been getting my hair cut by Steph for the last 8 years! Once I decided that it was time to graduate to a bigboy stylist, I tried lots of places all around the City. I am so lucky and happy that I found Steph. It’s like magic every time I come out of her chair. When I leave, I’ve had a sincere conversation with a good friend and my hair looks great (I often get compliments from my friends!:)
Steph also has a great touch for the small things. She has taught me which products are best for my hair and even how to style my hair in the morning so it looks like it does when I leave her chair. (Things I never really thought about, but that make a big difference in appearance!) She offers neck-​trims in between cuts to keep my looking sane:) And, you just end-​up enjoying the time in the chair while you’re there getting your haircut. It’s an hour that I look forward to every month.
Overall, if you’re looking for a great haircut in an environment where you will feel comfortable with a beautiful person inside and out — you should give Steph a call. I’m so glad that I gave her a call 8 years ago!

Best haircut in town… seriously. I’ve been getting my haircut with Stephanie for close to a decade. I’ve referred both men and women who have all become steady clients. Stephanie is professional and personable. She is always fun to go see!

Stephanie is the best! I found her when I moved to the city years ago and she has been cutting my hair ever since. She always listens to what I want and works with me to come up with something that will work. She has done beautiful long cuts, short bobs, and made me look really cool even when I was growing out my bangs. Her styling skills are top notch… every time I leave her salon people are mesmerized by how awesome my hair looks. She did my wedding hair, and she did exactly what I asked, then made it look even better than I expected it could. Creative, professional and a joy to visit, every time.

I’ve wanted to go lighter with my hair for a while, so I went in to see Stephanie for color… After our consultation, she took me from deep brown to a cool-​caramel hue that I absolutely love! She then styled me with Davines products that smell amazing.

I have been getting my hair cut by Stephanie since I moved to San Francisco three years ago. I love her so much! She’s sweet, sensitive, and so easy to talk to. She is INCREDIBLY talented and gives great hair tips and advice. I have never ever been unhappy with a hair cut or color that she has done. I look forward to getting my hair done all the time!
