I went in for a custom facial with Tanya today. She is incredibly sweet, caring, and professional. Probably the sweetest woman I’ve ever met! She really takes her time to get your skin in top shape, and I never once felt rushed. The entire time I was there, she treated me like a cherished friend, not like just another customer. Throughout our session she consistently educated me on how to improve my skin and health, sharing her knowledge from her decades of experience.
The facial itself was amazing. Her massage felt great, and the entire experience was lovely. Even the extractions! In the last facial I received elsewhere I was all bruised up after extractions, but not at all with Tanya. I left with my skin glowing and feeling great! Tanya is truly a master at her craft; she even designs her own skin care products. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to look more beautiful :)

My husband got me a voucher for Xmas & I booked a mini facial with Tanya as an early bday present. I was in dire need of some alone time after having our first baby! Tanya was amazing & I felt immediately at home. She chatted with me about motherhood as she worked my very neglected skin, and she even trimmed my eyebrows as well. My face felt very refreshed afterwards & I’d highly recommend her if your skin needs a boost!

As a man, I had my «first ever facial» with Tanya, and I’m gonna absolutely admit I loved it. She was very informative, respectful, thorough, and attentive. Being my first time I had no idea what to expect and the experience was superb… I now wish I had discovered this treatment years ago.
She has an amazing history (that she shared with me) that has led her to the United States, and has a medical degree from Russia. She really spent some time explaining he benefits of a dietary change for me that will improve my completion (she determined I was eating TOO much protein and it was manifesting that fact in the condition of my skin.
I will surmise that Tanya knows her trade, and after two visits I plan on going back to see her, and totally recommend her service, I hope this will perhaps persuade some of you virgins (to skin care and facials) to go visit Tanya and treat yourself to her services (Male and or Female) you will be glad your did.

I had a crook in my neck from sleeping in a hotel last night and needed a quick massage so that I could enjoy my trip to San Fran without pain. Tanya saw me as a walk in and was able to take good care of me. She is very personable and offered good health advice overall.

This review is based on skin tag removal. Lemme say that I’ve had a terrible experience in the past going to a dermatologist for skin tags. The doc gave me a series of painful shots and the laser still hurt like a bitch when he zapped my tags. That was a couple hundred bucks of trauma. I decided to give this place a chance for an annoying flappy tag on my neck. Tanya made my experience much more comfortable. The procedure was very fast and the discomfort was tolerable, not scary or traumatic at all. I feel like her prices are fair. I’ll definitely return to get more removed and have recommended her to my friends and family.

Just had a skin tag removal session with Tanya, and couldn’t be happier with the result! It was relatively painless, and all that remains is a small scab that will heal. She provided post care instructions and asked me to call her back in a week.
Tanya is so sweet and lovely, she will put you at ease through the procedure. The space is small, but she is a small business owner, so you can’t expect her to own a huge office in downtown San Francisco.
Quality work from an honest hard working person-​I would recommend her.

Used a GroupOn here… I had a great experience, left glowing and at ease. Tanya is lovely and creates lovely energy in her space and I loved her product line — wish I could afford to come regularly.
Parking is, of course, a challenge but its a quick walk from the Union Square Garage if you’re up for the steep fee.
If you’re looking for an experienced, knowledgable aesthetician, Tanya is for you!

Warning: Tanya’s treatments might turn you into a very vain person. I’m certain I’ve stopped by every mirror I walk by to admire what achievements one facial with Tanya did. My skin has that just-​walked-​out-​of-​yoga-​class glow and I just might not have pores anymore, they are that tiny.
I’ve had a couple facials elsewhere, but they were always frou frou pampering type treatments. Tanya cares about solving your skin problems. I told her how the past few months, my skin decided it missed being a teenager and has been breakout crazy. She asked a lot of questions about my diet, beauty routine, daily habits and offered suggestions on changes to make. I appreciated her holistic approach to skin health.
The only aspect keeping me from giving me 5 stars is that the price of her facials are a splurge (but rest assured you are paying for quality). She does a 30min facial that is more affordable, and I think she offers package deals as well. Also, her products and non-​facial services are reasonably priced. I will definitely start saving to see her every couple of months. If one facial can show significant results, I’m looking forward to what regular treatments with Tanya can achieve.

I went to the Russian Spa to use a Groupon today. I was a little nervous, because I have had some bad experiences in spas in SF. The two things that make me most nervous are the fear of the hard sell and the fear of being treated with disdain. Either one will unsettle me.
My experience at the Russian Spa was so comforting and lovely! The other reviewers are right in saying that Tanya is a beautiful woman, and is also a beautiful person. She was so kind to me and supportive. She made me feel welcome, and safe, while sharing her valuable insights and years of experience. I was impressed by her knowledge, wisdom, and (I need to say again) kindness. Intelligence and kindness often seem in short supply in the world, but not at the Russian Spa.

I saw Tanya today for a skin treatment. She was exceedingly attentive and very gentle, and went to great lengths to make me comfortable. She has been doing what she does for more than two (three?) decades now, so she knows her stuff. Her facility is a bit unorthodox for those who are accustomed to the polish of a spa in the Marina district, but that doesn’t really matter to me, as her expertise is what’s most important.

They say that Russian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world. I have to agree to this. And if you want to know some of the ways that a Russian women keeps her beauty, you have to see Tanya. She has over 30 years of experience with skin care. Also, her waxing technique is superb, painless. I asked her why is it that when she does my eyebrow, I always fall asleep and she told me it is all about the years of experience and technique. She is a perfectionist when it comes to eyebrows. I find her very skilled and knowledgeable at what she does. Her clinic is located at the heart of Union Square in San Francisco.
