Reliable greasy Chinese food. Working nearby this area doesn’t give one many options. Things I’ve tried have been ok and they are quick and portions are ridiculously large. I can eat the same entrée over 3 days for lunch. Tomato Chow Mein w/Chicken 3⁄5 Beef Chow Fun 3⁄5 Soo Fong Chicken — 3⁄5 War Wonton 2⁄5 There is definitely a lot of corn starch in here and the soup is thick.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and got horribly sick. Not sure if it was food poisoning but I’ll never eat there again. Too bad, it was a great spot.

I’ve been going here for years. I go at least once a week. 1. Delicious food 2. Big portions 3. Low price 4. Friendly staff 5. Fast. Kung Pao chicken has a low of POW! Also the eggplant in a spicy garlic sauce is great. My highest rating!

I had a delivery out in the Hunter’s Point Area today and was beyond ready for lunch after. I saw the sign on the nondescript peach stucco building for Soo Fong and took a gamble that it was a restaurant– as there wasn’t much to indicate that from the outside. I had a good feeling I was the right place to grab a quick, satisfying and reasonably priced bite, as there were plenty of working-class folks sitting down for a full plate of food. Casual and clean dining area, lively sounds of woks and orders being called in. Quick and friendly table service, also a walk up counter for to-go orders. Lunch time is prime-time, definitely seems to fill up around noon. I ordered the Fried Tofu Family Style as a lunch special/rice plate. They have plenty of meat options as well. For $ 8.45 w/tax I was served an ample plate of freshly prepared goodness. The vegetables where fresh and cooked to perfection and the tofu had an excellent texture. I ordered medium spiciness and it definitely was a solidly spicy dish. I have the second half of my order to eat later, as the serving size was generous.

Huge portions and awesome if your on a budget. One of my favorite dishes are the house wings.

We came across this location by accident on the way to the Speakeasy brewery. They serve tons of stuff. Amazing portions and great curry seafood/chicken/bbq/pork fried rice!!! Ohh, did I mention THEYDELIVER?

It’s cheap, lunchtime chinese food. I was told to get the broccoli beef and not deviate. So I ordered the orange chicken. What I got was a whole lot of breading on some dry, stringy popcorn chicken with a slight hint of orange. Learned a lesson. The staff is friendly, the service is pretty fast and the fried rice is excellent. It’s a zoo at lunchtime. Parking is hit and miss — the lot is sketchy and if you have a nice car, a door ding is almost certain. You can sometimes find street parking out back.

Decent semi Americanized Chinese food in the neighborhood. Cheap, fast food with friendly enough service. Given the lack of restaurant choices around hunters point(hence added star), this is a place I go to when in this neighborhood. Extensive menu and I’ve tried many items with satisfactory results. Not bad.

Soo fong is a decent place to get generic Chinese food yes, but it’s what most non-Asian people are looking for. I’m sure what we think tastes good and what Asian people think tastes good differs quite a bit. But I’ve been here many many times over the years and the food never disappoints. The service is a hit or miss tho, hence the missing star. The food keeps me coming back. Any of the noodles, soups, and appetizers are a must try. The egg foo Yong is good too.

This place is over rated if it wasn’t because it’s only Chinese food restaurant in the bay view they probably wouldn’t even be revelent it’s overpriced.

Don’t even waste your money here, fr! Seriously, it’s not worth it. Maybe they treat you better if you were to eat in the restaurant BUT if you take it to go, they play you. Give you small portioned plates for an expensive price! Just went last night. SMH

If I can give 0 stars I would. Ordered to go. A chicken noodle soup and asked that they use the thin noodles instead of whatever they usually choose to use. When I went to pay they charged me a dollar extra for noodles when it is already a chicken NOODLE soup. It’s not like I’m getting extra serving of noodles. Waited and even pointed to the order that was sitting there ready to be picked up. I took the receipt and went to pay for it and tried to dispute the extra charge. The guy obviously must be alien because he didn’t understand English or chinese. Why you working in a Chinese restaurant then? Anyways they still charged me. I paid. I don’t have time to waste with them. They still didn’t bag my to go order. I went over got a bag and bagged my own order. And out I go. Let’s hope that they get a LEGIT copy of Rosetta stone English and chinese. Lots of issues here. food is alright. service. not existent

For dinner, my brother told me to go pick up stuff at Soo Fong We ordered House Chow Mein-portion is enormous, flavors are on the bland side and little oily Chicken Wings(in chicken section not app)-exterior had a great crunch, a good balance of spice and sweetness House Curry Fried Rice-generous portion, curry flavor stands true String Bean with Beef-beef was super tender and flavorful, beans had a nice snap Shrimp with Lobster sauce-super duper saucey, a tad too salty but other than that reminded me of my childhood Overall Thoughts The food is definitely great for those on a budget and looking for decent chinese fare but don’t want panda express like food

My lady and have passed by this place on the way home for a couple years reluctant to try it since we’re pretty picky about our Chinese food. However, we recently took a chance and decided to try this place out and we were pleasantly surprised. We’ve ordered take out twice now and both times our order was ready when we arrived and piping hot. Our favorite thing on the menu here is the salt and pepper calamari… it’s delish. We’ve also tried the spicy garlic chicken wings and I’m not so much a fan of them. They were way too saucy and they pretty much paled in comparison to San Tung’s chicken wings in the Sunset. One more thing is that I feel their pricing is a little high for the neighborhood that its in. Overall, decent place for Chinese food if you’re in the area and too lazy to cook or drive further. ***3.5 stars.

This place is tucked in the Bayview Shopping Center in the back of the building. They mostly serve Americanized Chinese food which is reflected in their lunch menu. I tried the chow mein, which I expected was to be the crispy thin kind but turned out to be the thick one. It was my mistake, should have ordered the HK style one. The noodles weren’t too bad, a bit on the salty side and the vegetables and beef were kind of lacking but the portion was very good. Service was pretty good, all of the staff were nice and it was quick as well. 3⁄5!

Relatively inexpensive, good portions, decent food. One of the few good options one has in this area.
