Movie Bears organizes movie nights on Wednesdays and occasional Saturdays at downtown multiplexes. The films are usually the mainstream big budget blockbuster type (no art films here), often in 3-​D and/​or IMAX.
There are confusing rules about when you have to register and pay for your ticket in advance and when you can just show up.
They don’t do much to make new people feel welcome. An introduction to the other guys would have been nice.
In my experience, it doesn’t succeed as a social event. It feels like going to a movie alone, just with more gay guys in the theater than usual.
