SF Electrolysis

Lily is really great, electrolysis on the face is always painful but she is so friendly and nice to chat with I enjoy our appointments anyways. After the first appointment scheduling is done by text message which is really great if you hate talking on the phone like me. For other trans women out there looking around for where to get electrolysis I strongly recommend Lily :)

Lily is fantastic! I made an appointment with her a very disconcerting evaluation with another «highly rated electrologist» in SF. Lily took the time to thoroughly go over the process and procedure, showed me all her tools and safety protocols, and then looked at my skin and the hair and said «we can just do this now if you want.» I’m so glad I said yes. It’s been a few weeks since my second treatment and I’m seeing HUGE results. I only had a small amount of hair anyway, but her state of the art machine is practically painless and I’ve seen a significant reduction in the number and thickness of the hairs that have been treated so far. Her rates are super reasonable — a steal for the quality of service you get. She’s a lovely person and she goes above and beyond to explain everything and make sure you’re healing properly. I cannot recommend her enough!

Lily is a just a gem! She is extremely knowledgable about the process of electrolysis, and the joy she gets from helping her clients is palpable. Her rates are extremely reasonable. Scheduling is very easy, and I felt at ease with her from the first minute. I wish I felt comfortable walking around with hair on my face, but until then I’m so glad there is Lily.

I e-​mailed this business asking for a price quote (I could not find any on the website). I received an answer with the price, and I replied saying that I would like to schedule a 1-​hour session. They don’t have an online booking system, so when I replied to this e-​mail I asked whether they’d have any availability on a few given days, and requested that they call me to schedule an appointment if those proposed dates did not work. I got a reply back saying that bookings are only done over the phone, and that *I* need to call them, between 9−11am. Off to a good start…
So I find 5 minutes to call them from work, during a break between two meetings. We agree on a date, but Lily wants me to give her a credit card number over the phone. I don’t love providing this information over the phone, but I would have done it anyway if I had had my wallet on me. Alas I did not. I asked Lily whether she could please save the time slot for me, promising that I would call back as soon as my meeting was over and I could go get my wallet. She refused to do so.
So I think not. Hideous first impression. Definitely not a way to welcome new clients. I am bringing my business somewhere else.

Lily is great! I was extremely nervous about finding a new electrolysis before I moved to SF for the east coast. Unfortunately I tried someone else in the area first and was super disappointed. Luckily for me, I found Lily next. She is extremely knowledgable and explains everything she is doing. She is also so kind and great to talk to. You definitely forget you’re getting poked with needles, which is key! She’s been working on my underarms and I’m extremely happy with the results! Her office is also incredibly clean which makes you feel a lot better about the work she’s doing. If you’re looking for an electrolysis in the Bay Area, she’s the best.

I want to start by saying that I was really nervous to go get electrolysis done… For most of my life I have lived with so much shame around my unwanted hair that I didn’t even want to show it or talk about it with a professional. When I came in to see Lily, my nervousness vanished immediately– she is the sweetest and knows how to make you feel comfortable about such a sensitive issue.
Not only was Lily kind and respectful, but she is SMART and knows everything there is to know about hair removal. When you hear her talk about her state-​of-​the-​art equipment and techniques, you know you’re getting the best treatment. I’ve been going regularly for 5 months and have seen a dramatic decrease in facial hair.

Lilly is amazing, hands down. She completely calmed my nerves about the whole process explaining every bit and answering all of my questions. She is sweet AND knows exactly what she is doing — which is unfortunately a rarity these days. Loved the office too, it’s clean and welcoming.
Regarding the actual process: I’ve done laser before (worked during the treatments but now a year later I have even more hair :(and I’m supposedly the ideal candidate with light skin and dark hair) and wasn’t quite sure how to prepare for the feeling. Let’s just say, any type of hair removal is painful, period. However, knowing that this is p e r m a n e n t makes it all the more bearable. It honestly depends on the hair she is working on; if you’ve been tweezing like I had for years, especially a particular hair, that will be painful. But then there are easier ones which are less painful. Plus it’s relatively quick so just think of that. Overall, I leave her office each time so so happy. I have probably 5 more treatments until I’m all hair free! :)
Side note: I previously mentioned doing laser years ago– Lilly explained why it hadn’t worked so well for me plainly, and clearly. I appreciate her wide range of knowledge regarding different methods of hair removal. I also appreciate that she said she is not against it at all which made me feel more comfortable telling her about it.

I love Lily! She rocks. I’ve never had electrolysis, but being italian and part animal I needed it. Her office is very centrally located, and every time I’ve gone I’ve lucked out and found street parking.
Lily is so calm, and explains everything so well, and her equipment is just super clean and it’s a very sterile environment. Plus she’s a blast to talk to. I’m really glad I found her, and the treatments have worked wonders for me. The weird hair that was bothering me along my hairline has been eliminated by more than 60%, easily, and I’m on track to getting it removed permanently. She’s awesome.

I don’t have time to manscape myself regularly, Heard good things about permanent hair removal by electrolysis. After several visits at SF Electrolysis, I see a difference… The body hair has definitely reduced!

I recently had a consultation with Lilly, I wasn’t sure what to expect for the first time. However, Lilly provided great information and answered all my questions before starting. She explained the how’s and why’s of electrolysis.
Lilly was extremely professional. She listens to your requests and makes the electrolysis experience as pleasant as it possibly can be. She works quickly and has a nice sense of humor. I can tell she truly cares about her clients.
Her rate is very competitive with what is out there. She has a lot of experience and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in permanent hair removal.

I have been going to SF electrolysis since April. The office is very convenient to get to and is very clean and professional.
I was nervous at first thinking the procedure would hurt but it is very tolerable and Lily is great at talking you through the procedure.
I am so happy with the results. It cuts the time it takes to get ready in half. My skin is so smooth.
Anyone with unwanted hair should try electrolysis. It will change your life!!!
