I had heard good things about this market but it took me a while to get in here. A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in looking for a wine to pair with an Artichoke Risotto — a very difficult pairing. The owner was extremely helpful and came up with a great pairing — a Greuner. Not a wine that immediately pops to mind and it was a great idea. The owner was very friendly, a delight to talk to, and the store has a WONDERFUL selection.

There’s no doubt, this wine shop has tons of selection to choose from. The upstairs room has some of the rarest wine i’ve seen in SF bay area,
I was looking for an ’06 Screaming Eagle for a very special occasion, but can only find it online (not a huge fan of buying wine online).
This wine shop had what I was looking for, and for the price i wanted to pay. I’ll be back here for sure.
The only reason this place gets a 4-​star and not 5, is because it’s a one man shop. Adel, the owner, is the only in the store who knows inventory and location of those rare wines.
