We’re a small software company, operating on a shoestring for several years, so we didn’t have legal representation. We landed a big contract with a company that decided halfway through that they didn’t need our help after all and tried to renege on the contract. I’ve worked with both mega-​firms, and individual operators in the past, and Scherer, Smith are so far superior to anyone I have ever encountered. Succinctly, they provide simple solutions to complex problems, which isn’t something you’d usually say about a law firm. They have broad expertise in corporate structure, all startup functions, employee, real estate, and the various types of disputes that one inevitably encounters doing business. During the most difficult conflicts, they are capable of de-​escalating conflicts to calm, reasonable resolutions. Every dime spent with them has paid off, and they are great, honest, friendly guys, who I enjoy spending time with.
