Very creative, funny and entertaining. Was smart humor, not trashy or offensive. Very pleased and can’t wait to visit again!

A night out in the city has NEVER been so much fun. The show was amazingly funny. My boyfriend and I have never laughed so hard. The musical portion by the Lombard street performers was so perfect, it seemed like most of it had been rehearsed, but it wasn’t. We saw the last show of the season and are jonsin’ for the next season to start! We’ll definitely be back!

Spending an evening at one of their shows is one of the most delicious things you could possibly do for yourself. Their performances are smart, silly, surprising, fast-paced and totally engaging. I spent all night in constant giggles, hooting and hollering encouragement and ideas for material. When it comes to brilliant, inventive live performance, there really is no comparison. Get your tickets and go see them!

Hysterical! Simply the funniest show I have ever seen that will never be again. Half the fun is the spontaneity that fuels the excitement. The other half is the creativity of the improv cast who commit to their characters while still relishing in the absurdity if the prompts the audience yells out. It’s a cheap thrill in a cozy space with a decent bar selection. And you can drink in the theatre. Really what else could you want?

This group gave a great performance in a fun, intimate setting. There is plenty of interactivity with the audience, but do not be afraid if you the kind I person who doesn’t like to be picked on or brought put to the stage. The show was family friendly but not too tame for adult audiences to enjoy. Definitely a must see for those looking for a fun, new way to spend and evening out while supporting local performance art.

Ya know, I would not have expected myself to be an improv fan, necessarily. As someone who’s terrible at coming up with clever things on the spot, it makes me a little uncomfortable to watch other people have to do that themselves on a stage in front of a bunch of people. But seeing the SF Improv Collective surprised and delighted me — surprised me at how *not* uncomfortable I was, and at how delighted I was. And at how hard I laugh. Every fricking time I go to a show! There’s something about watching those people be so creative on-the-spot, and seeing the hilarious and/or touching things they come up with, and watching how well the ensembles work together — it’s like nothing else, not like other theater or performance, and a hell of a lot more interesting and entertaining, honestly, than seeing a movie or watching TV. Silent Film improv? Awesome. Twilight Zone? Hilarious. Star Trek? Super funny. Go. You will be surprised and delighted.

I’ve attended the San Francisco Improv Collective’s shows for a good long time now and not once have I left without feeling as jubilant a Hobbit at second breakfast. There’s a passion in their performance you won’t find in many other avenues. Being an Improv student myself and a long time fan of BATS theater; I’m inspired by their shows as well as entertained. My favorite shows: Phasers On Stun — Original improvised Star Trek?! With costumes, aliens, space stuffs, tribbles, and more space stuffs?! Too good to be true! I must be on the holodeck. Fractured Dimensions — If I didn’t know any better I’d say I’ve…crossed into… the Twilight Zone… 00 dun dun duuuuuuuun!!! Yes Sing — The little man child in me who serenades Disney songs in the shower and belts out broadway in the car, could not be more satiated by these performances. Sing! Sing! Sing!!!
