Samuel Palmer

If you want to sing (and want to actually sound good doing it), but have no idea where to start — start with Sam.
I was looking for someone who could help me evolve from my low-​man-​voice-​yoga-​class-​singing and Sam delivered. Sam helped me find my ideal range (a tenor — who knew!?) and coached me to be in my body and stay present to make beautiful music. We even had a lot of fun through the process.
I’d recommend Sam to anyone who is looking to grow their vocal abilities — he’s a fantastic coach and mentor.

I am a slooowww learner who needed a little help keeping up with my a cappella choir. I found Sammy on line, and he was great — exactly what I needed. He was so encouraging and went at my pace. He helped me gain confidence, and I am so much more comfortable in my choir now. I got super busy at work and teaching, so I had to give up the lessons for a while, but Sammy is great. Two enthusiastic thumbs up.

This was my first time taking any voice lessons. Sam helped me recognize some technical things to work on, and I am already singing much better by the end of the first lesson.

After weeks of searching for the right voice instructor, I noticed the word «tenor» and saw the name Samuel Palmer next to it. I instantly went to his website and looked for his times, price, and reviews. But with the lack of reviews on Unilocal,I emailed him based on my gut feeling about Samuel, and I was right.
After one lesson I am more than excited to continue lessons with Samuel until my wallet can no longer afford it. Right from the start we got into singing! I really enjoyed that because I mean who wants to waste any minute of the hour they are paying for? Which brings me to the price, best I could find, and I’m sure he could raise the price like his competitors (around $ 90 per hour) but no, this guy is affordable, and GOOD.
Like another review said he is very patient, calm, and very inspiring. The main reason, and first thing I told my girlfriend about him when I got out was the fact that he was SO enthusiastic about everything. If you’re thinking he’s just trying to make you feel good so you can come back then you are wrong. If he’s not being enthusiastic then he is being very informative on how to correct my technique or posture. After correcting it and doing the same exercise I am lifted up by a loud and sincere «FANTASTIC» or «BEAUTIFUL.» We also started on a song ALREADY, which was fun.
I learned so much in just one lesson, I really think this guy is going to get me to the best sounding voice I can produce. Also, increase my confidence which is a big problem. Who knows, this may only be a handful of the glories I will get out of lessons with Sam.

I am a bass singer that has been studying with Samuel Palmer for a few months now. I have always been afraid of my higher range and Mr. Palmer is really opening me up and relaxing me into a higher and even better more EVEN sounding voice. Strangely enough, my lower notes are becoming purer and more resonant.
Mr. Palmer is doing this by teaching me new techniques, working slowly and patiently and really listening and changing up the warms up so that I am focusing on new things and getting excited about singing all over again.
His love of music is palpable and infectious and I think his methods are fantastic for someone who has already studied and great for beginners too.
