I stopped by to get a lotto ticket on my way to work($ 1.3 billion Powerball). There was a bad attitude Asian lady at the counter, and I remembered why I stopped going there because of her attitude. But I tried to ignore her attitude. I got a ticket, and remembered I had a winning ticket($ 4) from the last drawing. I gave her the winning ticket, and she said«$ 3» and gave me $ 3. I thought a powerball matched winning was $ 4, but I hesitated to say anything because of her bad attitude and I was unsure about $ 4, plus, I had to get to work. After I came to work, and I checked the Powerball website, and there is no such $ 3 winning for Powerball, $ 4 the lowest winning, so I lost $ 1. Now, I can’t really say she cheated, but it is hard to believe she made a mistake because she ran the ticket through the machine. The machine always tells you how much you won. I got the printed ticket back, but it was not showing how much I won, so it’s no use. I called back the store, and I told a guy what happened, and he had the nerve to tell me he was too busy for me. I hope my ticket that I bought from them will not win tonight. I don’t want to go back there ever again nor want to give them any benefit if my ticket wins. I will go to 7 – 11 next time.

Giving these guys five stars for being honest. I bought something for $ 5 on a Thursday afternoon, paid with a $ 20, the clerk became flustered because his register was ringing up the wrong item, and then forgot to give me my change. I didn’t realize until Friday afternoon that I was short $ 15, so I called the store, the clerk remembered me and the transaction, and promised to set aside the money for me. He gave me $ 15 on Monday morning.

I just recently learned that cup-of-noodles are not a food group. I always assumed it was a little noodle cup shaped block on the other side of the food pyramid. Anyway, while some people use chocolate to get them through a stressful day at work, I use MSG filled Styrofoam cups of nutritionless carbs. Works wonders. A cup of noodle and I’m ready to take over the world. Closest source to feed my addiction is Russell Convenience. Think 7-Eleven meets gas station in the middle of Fi-Di. I know that those $ 0.99 cent cups are only $ 0.33 at FoodMaxx, but sometimes you run out of noodle cups and you need a fix man… just need a fix. Russell carries a nice selection of classic beef, chicken or shrimp cups. They have jumbo cups and even some spicy and chicken vegetable cups. There is a $ 3 minimum credit card change… which means I HAVE to buy 4 noodle cups. Oh woe-is-me. Much like my attitude with 7-eleven or gas stations, if it’s not packaged, I don’t get it. But for you average junk food needs, Russell’s is a-ok! P. S. Writing this review eating a noodle cup RIGHTNOW! How on topic is that?!

I went in here a couple times for coffee– and after leaving I found that the coffee was cold. Nevertheless, I microwaved my coffee when arriving to work and never complained. I went in one day and the man behind the counter told me about the frequent coffee cards, so I grabbed one– and forgot to have it marked off. I went in about 1 week later and got my usual coffee. I walked to the counter, pulled the card out of my wallet and explained«hey, last time I came in here you guys gave me this card but I forgot to have it marked off» Lady at the counter: «that’s your fault, I’m not marking it for you» Me: «Come on, I know you’ve seen me come in here before» Lady: «I have never seen you here» Me: «wow really, so you’re prepared to lose a customer over a coffee card stamp?» Lady: «I no help you» Me: «thanks» Pretty much called me a liar and willing to lose a customer over a coffee card stamp; thanks lady. I’ll just get my coffee at Subway now.

Great selection — drinks, snacks, greeting cards, wrapping paper, coffee, magazines, lotto tickets, over the counter medicine — you name it. Always well stocked and orderly. Clerks are friendly. It also seems like lots of people win the lotto here(scratchers, to be exact). They list all the winners on their scratcher machine and there seem to be fairly frequent winners. Hmmm?

i give this place 3 ½ stars because the people who work here have always been nice when I come in. Very polite and helpful when I ask about a certain magazine. Nice selections of goodies too and the prices are not so bad. I like the small fruit stand they have going when you walk in. It is to the left when you come in.

As far as convenience stores downtown go, this place is decent. The staff is courteous and the store is clean and well stocked. No complaints. Better than other stores in the area.
