I ordered the pork and cheese pupusa, pork tamale and menudo. All of them were really good. The tamale was nice and moist. The pupusa was flavorful. The menudo had no hominy but the tripe was delicious. Service was ok. Not spectacular, but not bad. We were in the neighborhood at a baseball game. If this place wasn’t so off the grid I would definitely come back.

A tiny place like a million others in the city but packing an amazing amount of flavor! We ordered flautas, burrito, papusa, enchilada and everything was good! It’s a pretty big plate so be careful when you order. We were stuffed at the end of our meal and ended up taking leftovers home. Too bad because I wanted to taste their flan. Going by the rest of it, I’m sure it merited a star all on its own!

This place is just ok. Sodas were expired by 15 months, I instead ordered a bud light which was only expired by three months. Service was fine but easier if you speak English. I ate the cheesiest Quesadilla I had in my life. the Pupusas were good though, affordable and only reason anyone should visit this place.

Oh my! Took my sweetie here for his first pupusa, platanos, frijoles et crema experience and this pupuseria didn’t disappoint. We also enjoyed a half order of sopa de pollo. Fresh vegetables and delicious broth with a squeeze if lime hit the spot for a cold New Year’s Day.

Total disappointed on the quality of food and the place is very runned down looking. Tried the pupusas but nothing special… very plain no flavor, mainly masa. It hardly had anything inside it, just got served masa. No worth my time nor my money.

Great«home-made» and fresh pupusas! I had a chance to try the tamales, pupusas and menudo from this restaurant. Not a fancy place but one of those places that you know that you’ll be getting authentic Mexican/Salvadorian food. The pupusas were a bit crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside and by far the best out of the 3 dishes that I tried. The pickled cabbage and the salsa were perfect. Pupusas are made when ordered! A big fan of menudo; however I’d have to say the menudo here were a bit plain. Stick to the pupusas.

Met a girlfriend here for dinner after work on her recommendation. She had a couple of pupusas, but I don’t like cheese and ordered something else. I had the lengua dinner plate and it was delicious. The meat was very tender and the red salsa complemented the dish well. Also loved the complementary chips and salsa.

Great place to grab a pupusa on San Bruno street. Reasonable prices keep me coming back now and again. The free chips are always welcome in my book! The menu is quite extensive to those of you who might not go to too many Mexican restaurants, but try bit by bit and you’ll get a general idea of what your favorites will be. I ordered a fried fish plate to go and waited inside the restaurant. They provided me with some chips and salsa while I waited. Once I got my order to go, I walked home and opened up my food. The fish was a bit too dry, but still tasted pretty good. It was accompanied with some seasoned rice and refried beans and that along with the entire fish was a great meal.

Very homemade tasting Salvadorian horchata and pupusas. I like it as much as The Santaneca(see that review) and its closer to home

I ordered a cheese enchilada, zucchini pupusa, and a cheese pupusa to go. They gave me a chicken enchilada and a zucchini pupusa. I’m vegetarian, so I guess I have a zucchini pupusa for dinner.

Love the pupusas… both of us really enjoy their cabbage slaw too. Their service always seems to be not there mentally, but we’ve returned despite it.

Taste is 4 stars but overpriced! I ordered 3 pupusas, atole de elote, and empanada and was shocked when my bill was $ 28 bucks! About 40% overpriced, in my opinion! but if you can afford it and cost is not a factor then Enjoy! because it is very yummy!

Great authenic pupusas with repollo de calidad and spicy salsa. Also has full selection of Salvadoran beers, Pilsener, Regia, and Suprema. Definitely worthwhile and reasonably priced.

After walking up and down san bruno ave, looking for a quick bite, I decided that this was the most legitimate looking place that wasn’t a chain restaurant. The other options for food were subway, round table, an overcrowded chinese restaurant, a dingy looking chinese café, and a chinese bakery with flies crawling outside the window. It’s a casual setting with a variety of Mexican food. I believe their specialty is the pupusas. I got two pupusa’s — 1 pork and 1 cheese. I liked the pork one better as it seemed more flavorful. I should have just gotten one as I’m a light eater and one is enough. People who are used to eating american sized plates should probably stick with 2. The pupusa’s are $ 2 each so it’s a good deal. I wished they served agua frescas. That would be awesome. They had a variety of sodas, milkshakes, beer, and wine.
