Phil Bertetta – State Farm Insurance Agent

I’ve been working with Nick for the past several years. He’s very helpful and knowledgeable. I recently purchased auto insurance and he went above and beyond to provide me with coverage (after hours), so I could close on a new car purchase.

I have been with Phil and now his son Nic for 25+years for my car, renters, business and homeowners’ insurance. its been wonderful to be able visit a brick and mortar office if I had an accident, be able to call and easily talk to a long term employee on the phone, someone who knows my name. somehow, insurance just feels better when you have a longterm agent who knows you and can answer any question via phone of email with a day or two. Thanks Nic. I am an artist and my studio landlord reqires insurance and a special letter and Nic knew exactly what was needed.

They were trying to up-​sell me right and left, adding additional coverage options and increasing limits for the unnecessary items without even asking me first. Not the most honest insurance agents I met in my life.

Stephanie Lai was very helpful to me – we live in Michigan and recently bought a condo in San Francisco. It was wonderful being able to handle getting condo insurance from 2000 miles away, thanks to her knowledge and diligence it was handled diligently without a problem. I have State Farm insurance in Michigan and literally found the Geary office via the Internet without any personal recommendations in advance. So I am happy it turned out well.

Phil has been my insurance agent for the past 12 years. That is a record for me. He is my go-​to guy for all of my insurance because he and his team are super responsive and look after you as a client. As the other reviews can attest, Phil really seems to care about his clients, and ensures that his team are all on the same page. This is how I imagine the insurance agents were back in my grandfather’s days.

I have used this agency for over ten years. It has always been pleasant. I have never been to the office myself, but every time I called, the staff was extremely helpful. Recently, my premium doubled due to a DMV record error. Vivian went out of her way to fight for the adjustment. It made me feel that she always has my interest in mind. A highly recommended agent!

Phil Bertetta State Farm Insurance: We have been clients of Phil’s for over 20 years with HO, EQ, car, etc. policies. The entire «org» in this office is superior per their knowledge, attentiveness (they listen) and efficiency; they are fast on response — follow-​up. At i time or another I have probably driven one or all nuts with concerns; Karen is tops per patience and unraveling issues!!. We live in Santa Cruz — distance is no issue for excellent service. BRAVO!

Although I’ve been with State Farm for some time, I recently made an appointment to meet with Phil. Scheduling the appointment was easy — once we met I found it was well worth the time (this was my first ever appointment with an agent).
Phil is friendly and professional and took the time to explain my policies and answer any questions. I wasn’t pressed to purchase anything, or rushed out the door for asking too many questions.
Phil helped me to lower my premiums by a fair amount while increasing some coverage. As we were talking, Vivian (who works in the office) was constantly answering questions updating policy quotes, and followed-​up quickly via email.
In a nutshell — easy to work with, professional and no hard sell. I’d recommend at least giving them a call, or sending an email. I also like the idea of working with an agent in the neighborhood.

I have been with the same insurance company and agent for over 25 years. That says how satisfied we are entrusting our insurance policies with them.
I don’t have to worry about missing a payment because Vivian keeps me on check. That shows they do care. Everyone in the office is helpful and very professional.

I finally had my first car accident after over 30 years of driving experience! I was traumatized, disoriented, and lost. In addition to dealing with the police, tow company, and other people involved in the accident, I was exhausted and overwhelmed. However, when I called Vivian Barbary, my State Farm agent, to report the accident, she was my guardian angel. And I tell you why.
Before I tried to begin telling her the details, she, acted as if she was with me at the accident, knew how confused I was. She quickly advised me what to do, first, second, third,… until I sounded relaxed and calm.
Within 1 hour, I got all the steps taken cared of, with the order of priority and importance. Vivian took care of all the procedures with me efficiently and effectively!
Reflecting my experience with this office of Phil Bertetta, Agent of State Farm, it goes back 25 years ago when my husband relocated from the east coast. He started fresh as a stranger to this City. Phil offered him a great and affordable insurance package. Now, everything is history, going from 1 person to a married man with 2 teenage boys, 3 cars, 8 insurance policies, and 25 years of excellent services provided by Phil and his staff. We feel we are lucky and blessed.
Vivian and Josh completed all the transactions needed to finalize the claim and they handled very professionally, and with great care. They were warm, courteous, kind, and helpful. Whenever my husband or I called, Vivian answered the phone, got on to the situation, resolved matters right away. What do you think of this kind of people?

The team at Phil’s office, especially Vivian who I’ve worked with on many of my policies, is very responsive. This would be an ideal place to go if you prefer to check and apply for policies via email. Highly recommended.

I’m so amazingly impressed with how efficient this office is. They are so easy to work with and the rates are great. Very professional and always trying to find ways to save you money without being pushy.
Vivian especially is great. She is so friendly and makes everything so easy. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I contacted them for Motorcycle insurance. They gave me a great rate and were very helpful. State Farm is individulistic as it insures motos on the displacement of the bike. i.e. 600cc or 750cc rather than the bikes reputation.
The sales specialist David Duty was great in explaining everything and gave me several options to pay. Very professional and straightforward.
The only thing Negative I have to say is that when we were on the phone the first time he really pushed for the face to face meeting. I cant blame him because hes working in a business that is based on selling. It didn’t matter because after I got his quote I went to progressive, eastwood, and geico and none of them came even close to beating his quote. In fact, the geico sales rep was rude in saying «how much did state farm quote you» She wouldn’t tell me her quote untill I told her what state farm quoted me. She then told me that the rate state farm gave me was only liability. WRONG!!! with sales people this rude its no wonder people get pissed off with insurance reps.
I dont know about the other State Farm offices but I recommend this Geary location to anyone thinking of Motorcycle insurance.
