I’ve gone here a few times. it’s usually a little crazy on weekends but I was there on a friday night at 6pm and it was nice and empty. the staff was extra friendly and helpful. they even gave advice on the shoes and shoe size(i’m learning all about the nuance of european sizes)… anyway, I def think I’ll go back at the same time slot next time. they said weeknights are more mellow. I was able to exchange a pair of sneakers without any haggling or arguing even after my son wore them for a week.(as the front rubber part had somehow unglued itself). I was afraid they would blame it on «user error» but they didn’t and were nice enough to let me exchange it without any extra explanation. That’s super customer service. My son found a great pair of champion sneakers that were velcro. it’s hard to find the larger kid sizes in velcro but he still needs it due to his fine motor delay issues, so I’m grateful that Payless still carries some and they are reasonably priced. thanks payless! and free available doorstep parking makes this location extra wonderful esp when you have to drag a kid who hates shoe shopping.

Worst service ever. I went to buy my son some new shoes for school. I revieced an attitude from the clerk. I’d rather spend ny money at another shoe store who is happy to have us.

For the price, I find the life of shoes bought at Payless are generally very comparable to name-brand shoes that I may pay more for elsewhere. This is despite the general comment that the upper shoe material and /or the sole tend to be of plastic-like material. As another viewer commented, the store is small. However, it’s either my imagination or that I think at least the selection is better than that of the Serramonte. At least for the size I shop for, which is men’s size 10. Generally the staff is nice with no sales pressure or anything like that. If you’re a AAA member, show your card for a 10 percent discount off the full price.

Great place for inexpensive shoes. Staff is very nice but sometimes I’d like a little help finding shoes for my hard to fit feet. Highly recommended for kids shoes since kids outgrow them fast. I am a repeated shopper when my kids were growing up. They outgrew before they wore the shoes down. It figures. Quality of the shoes are fine. It has what I need and appreciate the coupons. But please turn on the fans or air conditioners every now and then.

With over 100 pairs of shoes in my closet I am a certifiable shoe whore. This being said I have to be creative in amassing this collection as I unfortunately cannot afford endless Manolos, Louboutins, and Choos, not that I don’t have a couple of those too. Don’t go expecting quality leather goods. But its a good source for cheap and colorful fabric summer flats. The kind that I know I wont love forever. So I won’t be upset when I toss them in the donation pile. While their handbags definitely appear cheap, they do have a small collection of jewelry with some really cute pieces. Today I got really cute little yellow striped fabric flats and a necklace for under $ 20. Score! And now like Target they offer colloraborations with designers. Currently available Christian Soriano for Payless, Lela Rose for Target, and Isabel Toledo. They also offer good tennis shoes such as airwalks. My son swears by the sneakers here since he goes thru shoes so fast and doesn’t want to spend a lot of money. So while I don’t go shopping specifically looking for a Payless I will stop by one if it is in the area.

The staff here is genuinely really nice and friendly people. It’s a small store so they’re limited on style of shoes and sizes. Save your receipts for the $ 2 coupons. It never expires! :)

This payless is one of the neatest Paylesses I’ve been to. The aisles are stocked by size instead of by style, like the one Downtown. Though it is harder to find a particular style this way, this formatting is useful if you know what size you are looking for. As with the other Paylesses, there is a variety of shoes, shoe care items, accessories, and sometimes even tote bags, sunglasses, and jewelry. thankfully, the shoes are cheap, and great if you suddenly need to change out of your heels after work, or if you need a pair of formal shoes right before an event.

Payless shoes are decent in durability Overall style is passable, but when you look closer, the fine details are not there. Prices got a bit pricier, 5 years ago $ 20 shoes are now $ 30. Will never buy from here again, I can get aldo dress shoes for $ 30 when they are on sale. Aldo shoes are itallian styled and look 10 times better.

Ive always liked Payless. Theyre cheap, you can find treasures here if you look, and theyre cheap! They always have buy a pair get 2nd pair half off so… you HAVE to buy two pair of shoes. This review is based on the employees here. :] So I saw a pair of giraffe flats but they were only in size9, there is this ONE asian lady that loves to ask you if you need help. «can i help you with anything?» she asks. BUT that seems to be as far as it goes. She doesnt help you or respond very well after that. Me: Do you have these giraffe flats in a size 7? Her: no, what shoes? oh, the heels? only heels. ORSHESAYS «what we have out here is what we have» she doesnt even stop stocking shoes as she talks to you. either: A.) her english is limited. I dont think she knew what giraffe meant, I even said it in chinese… hmm B.) she just asks because its her job to ask, but is reluctant to help. ANYWAY this boy there helped me and found it! YAY! he was very helpful. I remember him from the other times ive been to this payless. He asked me what i needed after he saw me talk to this lady. He looked on their computer system, looked in the back, then helped me find it! yay! My nephew also bought a pair of shoes. Some converse knock offs so my flats were only $ 12! Anyway, my nephew’s shoes ripped after he came back from school. He had already taken off all the tags, they were worn, i didnt think we could return it… But ANOTHER asian lady helped us and was glad to help us exchange them! This was originally only 3.5 stars, but she added the extra half!

Yes, I admit it, I have realized I am in the beginning stages of a shoe fetish… not that they turn me on or anything(least not my own) but I love getting new shoes!!! My store is right next door to the Payless in Lakeshore Plaza so several times a month I find myself venturing out into the land of cheap shoes… This time of year though it’s kind of hit or miss… SUMMERTIME??? love it! Winter time? ooohhh all the cute knee high boots now that’s what I’m talking about… When I have a crisis(which I frequently do) involving an outfit I forgot parts to, or a let’s go here after work I run next door and they usually have something that will work and even on a few occasions I’ve found something flippin awesome!!! Moral of the story is… for those of y’all out there with Champagne tastes on a PBR budget head out to payless and see what you can scrounge up.

In my closet, on the floor, next to my Juicy Couture flats and my Charles Davids are my other favorite pair of shoes: my Airwalk tennis shoes from Payless. I go into Payless every once in awhile because I have been known to find decent shoes in there once in awhile. This is not the same as it was when I was growing up, when it was all cheapy and ugly and weird looking. Yes alot of the shoes still tend to look plastic-y and cheaply made. But they do carry some cute tennis shoes like Airwalks, and American Eagle flats. Today I went and got some really cute Airwalks, that were made at the same quality as the ones at Nordys. And they were cute and colorful and only $ 12! As a general rule, I avoid most of the shoes here because they just look cheap. But when I do find something cute here, I am very happy and it makes the other trips where I walk away empty handed worth it.
