I used to see Dr. Glick. He was one of the only DDS’ in SF who knows how to work on American Indian teeth, which are very different in a ton of ways that I’m not going to get into. But they require a delicate hand. Seriously. I had a ton of work to get done, two (count ‘em 2 root canals) and it was damn near a pleasurable experience.
Now he has moved on and I go to the IHS for my dental work. Its cool and ultra-​modern and that’s fun and all, but I always leave in pain and unhappy. Unlike at Linda’s office. She’s the nicest lady, ‘Im not even sure how to explain how great she is. Just an awesome person.
Anyway, Ill leave you with this. I get free dental through Medi-​Cal (long story), but I’m considering paying out of pocket just to go back to 909 Hyde. They are just that good!

I have never actually seen Dr. Xavier — I have only seen Dr. Jorna. Both me and my husband have been patients & at times have seen them frequently. I take slight issue with the idea that Dr. Jorna yells at his staff or that he even yells at all — if you spend abt a min with him — he is just not a yeller. I do recall one time when he became annoyed with his assistant because she didn’t do something properly and it took a longer amount of time. I suppose if that would make a patient uncomfortable than that’s plausible. But he’s Dutch — they aren’t exactly prone to fiery rages. And they do what they do impeccably. He’s not a gregarious person that’s going to tell a joke or be entertaining but he has certainly been very thorough with pertinent information.
But I have to concur the absolute gem that makes this place like no other is LINDA! You absolutely can’t NOT adore her — unless you are just miserable beyond saving. She’s a terribly hard worker and moreover she’s extremely helpful in terms of understanding billing, different kinds of insurance — how they handle and how to make it all run smoothly. This is indispensible — and yeah she’s a no bullshit swearer — her kind are a little hard to find in SF anymore. I really like Dr. Jorna, but Linda I would literally follow off a cliff.

The best part going to the Dentist is Linda; she is very attentive and makes you feel comfortable at once. I have being going to the dental practice for about 10 years.
Dr Jorna has taken over the practice, he is not a people person takes no time to talk with you or get to know you, not very sympathetic towards you. The tension between the staff is terrible, he yells at them, very uncomfortable.
The last straw is I had to sign off a form that said I can never be late for an appointment and if I where late I would not be seen and charged and would have to reschedule another appointment
I will truly miss LINDA, she rocks! She is the practice

Linda rules!
Go here for Linda, the office manager. She will actually make you look foward to coming to the dentist.
Plus she swears like a sailor but makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
