Palecek Imports

I also bought 8 red leather Hudson chairs from these guys (via Abode in Half Moon Bay, CA) and the leather started peeling and deteriorated after a couple of years. We took perfect care (no chemicals, rarely cleaned them, rarely used them, no light, no heat). However, Palecek insists that there is nothing wrong with the chairs and that I must have done something to them.
However, Pasta Moon Restaurant in Half Moon Bay bought the same chairs (~50) and they have the *exact same problem* (go look!). And I see another person here has the same problem.
I complained and they deny it is their fault and suggest that we must have treated them with something or left them in the light. Not true. And, I have other leather furniture that has lasted over 20 years and still looks great.
These guys do not understand customer service and not willing to take responsibility for bad sourcing. Clearly, the leather quality or the tanning process or dyeing process has a major flaw that comes out a few years later, but Palecek is in denial!
They offered to SELL me brown chairs with slip covers to fix the problem.
