When I lived in NB I used to shop here semi-regularly, especially for kitchenwares, and got some good deals on some basics, including a kitchen timer whose included battery is still working after 4 years now of regular use. Would have got 3 or 4 stars then. Unfortunately it seems the pricing has since changed from«discount» to «convenience» so there’s not much point anymore. Might want to pick through the kitchenwares, but for other stuff you’re probably better off price-wise just going to Walgreens(and checking the Stockton Bargain Center or whatever it is right across the street from it)

I dropped in here to look for a lid for my skillet. This place sells all sorts of knick knacks for your kitchen. Their inventory is so vast that the whole store is stuffed to the rafters with merchandise. It was bordering on claustrophobia. I found some really nice tempered glass lids but, since I never bothered to learn the metric system(I know I know), I didn’t know what the heck the sizing was. I took one lid up to the counter and asked the lady what the size is in inches. Apparently the lid wasn’t what I was looking for. The lady was nice enough to lend me a tape measure to bring back with me to find the correct size. The lid I selected was incorrectly marked $ 2.99(a steal). When I brought it up to the counter, the lady flatly told me those are not sold for $ 2.99(well duh!). I told her that all those lids in that size are incorrectly marked. She didn’t say thanks or anything. I don’t expect feet kissing but common courtesy would be nice. Deduct 1 star She threw my glass lid in a plastic bag without bothering to wrap it up with newspaper(deduct another star). Really it it that hard to wrap up something that is fragile? I was so afraid of breaking that thing on my way back to the office. I did find a bunch of free newspapers in a street bin. I wrapped up the lid myself. Prices are reasonable.
