This place is awesome. I’ve had so many compliments about roof deck, and the interior architecture, and how it is an efficient and elegant use of space. The finishes are great and there are very few noise issues. There are concrete slabs between each floor and even when my neighbor has his stereo turned up and holding a house party, I can’t hear him. I only know because I was just visiting him.
The HOA management is excellent and as of this writing, both the HOA Manager and resident building engineer have been here since the building was opened.

Having lived two years at One Hawthorne, I can honestly say it’s one of the best managed buildings I’ve ever experienced living in. The staff is expertly guided by on-​site manager, Karen Carr, and the building runs beautifully. We moved to a smaller «boutique» building in a different neighborhood with no on-​site manager and boy do we miss Karen’s attention to detail.

We’ve been leasing here for a bit over a year and have to say we would really be regretting it if we had purchased. The place has decent finishes and materials and is in a convenient location (despite being across the street from the Gold Club). The downside is the building management and maintenance — incompetent and clueless best describe the team. Nice and friendly but pretty much useless when you have problems. The front desk and valet service is exceptionally good though. But again, really glad we didn’t buy.
