Good coffee and espresso drinks — perks me up in the morning. I’m a fan of their iced drinks. They also have bagels, croissants, and your assortment of pastries. They are nice and friendly and no long lines ;-)

Pure caffeinated goodness. Sometimes you want a coffee stand where everybody knows your name, to the Cheers comment here. That’s exactly what you get at On the Go. Even when they’re dealing with crazy construction all around them… you can always get a friendly cup of coffee(most often ready when you arrive at the stand). They truly remember your name, your drink and even what you told them you were doing this weekend. Amazing. Oh, and inexpensive! Why anyone would wait in line at the horrific SBUX on Howard is beyond me.

I can’t explain how great this coffee stop is. They make the BEST lattes and they are so fast and so friendly and ½ the price. I LOVELOVELOVE it. Best way to start my day :)

Best Americanos and mochas in the Spear SOMA neighborhood. Better than neighboring coffee shops. And you get to be outside. Hours are a little odd because they get there early in the morning for stock brokers to get their coffee and then pretty much close by early afternoon.

This is the«Cheers» of coffee stands. Tired of going to the big chains and never having them get your name or drink right? Do you hate paying for crusty pastries and drinking bitter coffee? Look no further than On the Go Espresso! Todd and Terry are awesome! Not only do they remember your name, they remember your drinks — the size — and for many of their customers they have their pastries ready in a bag every morning when they arrive. Sure, there are times they are MIA and then life sucks, but people need a vacation, and they’ll tell you where they’ve been. I was VERY happy to see them again — I thought that they had closed up shop! Give this place a try… you’ll NEVER go back to those coffee pretenders!

Don’t normally frequent espresso carts but thought I would give it a try. To my surprise this place is amazingly good. The owner and assistant are very friendly, and the drip coffee and espresso is great! No wonder since they serve EQUATOR coffee, the same coffee that is served in my favorite restaurant French Laundry. They carry pastries from City baking, the same I get on weekends at Peets but for much less $. My favorite are the scones. They offer happy hour From 11 to 1, all 12oz. espresso drinks(lattes, capps, mochas) for $ 1.50! How can they do that? As long as I’m working in this area, it’s a daily stop!

Regular dripped coffee here is excellent. I don’t know why, but it’s much better than fixed coffee shops like Howard Street Coffee Roasters( ). Service here is fast and friendly. Medium cup of coffee for $ 1.30 is fair. I would give them 5 Stars, but I took off a star of unreliability. Without notice, coffee cart may disappear for a week. Sure, I completely understand that the lady has the right to take vacations, but as a consumer, I like the fact Starbucks is always open during normal business hours.

The only decent cup o joe around this 2 block radius of SOMA. It’s surprisingly good considering it’s an outside cart. Fairly strong and better than Starbuck’s around the corner.

On my first day at my new job, one of the first things I noticed was the coffee cart outside. At around 11, the other clerks and I wandered downstairs for a much-needed coffee break, and came to discover that there was such a thing as coffee happy hour. I’m for any sort of happy hour, but since the alcoholic variety is inappropriate at that hour, I found coffee happy hour to be a brilliant invention. ½ off espresso drinks. Needless to say, this journey to the coffee cart became a daily ritual. For 5 weeks, every weekday at 11am six or seven State Bar law clerks would arrive to service their caffeine habit. We became friendly with Coffee Cart Guy, carried frequent purchaser cards. Life was good. Until one day, he was gone. No explanation, just gone. Forced to drink office coffee(I’ve had better at truck stops), I grew as bitter as the beverage I sipped. How dare he get us all hooked and then fall off the face of the earth? After a few days, we began to stray, getting espresso from the Working Girls Café, or(inward cringe) Starbucks. He came back eventually, but since that fateful absence, his presence outside my building has been irregular, and I’m just not ready to put myself out there again yet. Maybe someday I’ll go back, but for now, I’m sticking with non-wheeled coffee dealers.
