Boom! Home cooked(not greasy, creamy) north Indian food delivered to your home in SF. What more could you ask for? As for the food, the rotis were soft and the malai kofta and daal was authentic and tasty. My wife and I have been looking for something to satisfy our weekly north Indian craving every since we move from NYC last year and nani foods is it. Bonus: they use fully compostable containers so you don’t have to feel bad about ask that plastic. So yeah try it for your next weeknight dinner and get 10 bucks off here:

I really enjoyed my first Nani experience while in SF. The food is very flavorful with the right amount of spice. The portions were filling. I loved the ease of customizing my meal and the service was unbeatable– right to my dining table! My favorite dishes were the aloo gobi and the butter chicken.

I used Nani as a surprise dinner for the boyfriend who had to work late in the city. I ordered dinner around 4:30 and then choose an evening delivery window. It all was dropped off on time at his office and without a hitch. I like that you can order multiple meals and nix the delivery fee, since they are already packaged, it was perfect to save for a good lunch the next day. He heated it up in the oven and said it was all very tasty and a good size filling meal(and reasonable prices!). I would order from them again, very seamless!

yes, I’m indian, so maybe I’m biased, but whenever I want some good home-cooked indian food and I’m not at home, nanifood is clutch — because they offer the types of foods that I’d get at home, not at a restaurant. it tastes fresh, it’s got that good home-grown scent, and every time I’ve ordered, it’s more than enough good. I always have some leftovers for a light breakfast in the morning. favorites — that ground beef keema, the chana, and that chicken curry. ANDTANDOORICHICKENBITES. bro. those are a must get.

My wife and I have ordered from Nani on multiple occasions and can’t say enough good things about the quality of their food as well as their service — all of which comes at a very reasonable price. They have a wide variety of dishes covering all corners of the Subcontinent, and the process of ordering and preparing the food is super easy. Think Munchery for Indian/Pakistani food, but higher quality. Ok, so that’s all well and good, but what really sets Nani apart in my book is the AUTHENTICITY of the taste. I’m sure this is cliché at this point, but it really does taste like home-cooked food that my mother would prepare, which is what keeps me coming back for more. Thus far, I’ve had the Chilli Chicken, Chicken Jalfrezi, Mattar Paneer, Daal, Chicken Kebab, and probably a few other items which I’m forgetting at the moment, and each time have been left very, very satisfied. Bonus points for using local chefs and eco-friendly packaging, as well as having relatively healthy options(Indian/Pakistani foods can often be very heavy and oily, so these guys seem to do a good job of managing that). The hand-written note is a nice touch as well.

Love Nani. I crave from simple chapati, daal and vegies or non-veg — and Nani delivers everytime. I order from there at least twice a week if not more. The other key is that the servings size are just perfect.

Simply amazing. I have dreamed of a home cooked Indian food delivery service and Nani well over exceeded my expectations. The food is as authentic as it gets and the service is incredible. I especially love how easy it is to order and customize your meals. They always have great vegetarian options and I’m happy that they have brown rice as an option as well. Food is unreal, cost is just right and I am hooked. Thanks Nani!

I order from here weekly — sometimes multiple times per week. From the website to the food, the whole experience is clean, simple and fresh. Oh, and the food is delicious. Never oily like most Indian restaurants you order from, Nani’s food always tastes like it was cooked fresh. Home for me is thousands of miles away, and this is as close to home-cooked as I’ve gotten in San Francisco. The chicken korma is almost exactly like my Mom’s, which is a big deal for me because I tell everyone that my Mom cooks the BEST chicken korma. If you haven’t tried Nani, give it a shot. You won’t regret it!

Arrived really quickly and was way better than most of the Indian food I’ve had in restaurants. Prices are super reasonable too.

I have ordered from Nani Foods several times and love the food. Its simple, very close to home cooked food. I would feel comfortable eating it every day, unlike heavy Indian food from your typical restaurants. The price is great — very affordable — even for buying everyday. The packing is great — simple paper bowls. Just recycle those and don’t feel guilty about wasting the mountains of packing which is typical of some restaurants. I would appreciate one more vegetarian option on a daily basis. But overall, my big hope is that they will be able to keep the price and quality the same as they scale up.

Nani is such a cool concept – bringing home cooked authentic food together with the convenience of delivery. Agree with the previous reviewers that the food and service is top notch. The Food: The most important factor and Nani does not disappoint. The food is fresh and made by local cooks and you get that comfort of ‘mom’s home cooking’ with each dish. The variety of dishes is also great because you can select meat or vegetarian dishes and build your own custom meal. The Service: The site is super easy to navigate and while it allows for some customization, it doesn’t overwhelm you with clutter. The delivery is prompt and courteous. Just a great experience all around. Five stars! Would give it more if I could!

I’ve ordered several times from Nani and it doesn’t disappoint — the food is fresh and always delicious. I love the concept and really appreciate the fact that Nani uses local cooks, established in nearby communities. Its hard to find services that cater quality and healthy ethnic food. the service itself is super easy service to use, the price is on point and delivery is prompt. Highly recommend.

I love Nani food and order from them pretty much every day. The food is delicious, clean and home made. For health freaks like me it’s such a relief that the the food isn’t drenched in oil or super salty, like it is in a lot of Indian and Pakistani restaurants. The chapatis remind me of home, they are just amazing. The portions are generous. It’s a perfect alternative to cooking a desi meal at home. They are also pretty amazing at customer service and they listen to your feedback. I have actually seen some of feedback incorporated in their service. Keep up the great work guys! My guess is that you are especially making a lot of working folks who don’t come home and start cooking very happy!

Nani is a dream come true for foodies who want a delicious, authentic, home-cooked meal. First and MOST important, the food is great! Second, the cost is super reasonable for what you get! Third, the website makes it simple to get a customized meal to satisfy every little craving you may have! How can you go wrong? Also, the quality of the food and the variety of options are excellent. I love that each dish is bursting with flavor– it just makes me want to go back for more. I would mention some of my favorite dishes, but honestly, they are all delicious with the perfect amount of spice! This is my go to place when I don’t feel like making anything at home or don’t want to go out to a typical indian restaurant. I recommend Nani to everyone, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed(I am already hooked!).

I have ordered twice from Nani Food now and am quite impressed. The food and service are both excellent. I had the chicken nihari served with rice and Roti(tortilla-like flatbread) last week, and had the chicken makhani with paratha(another type of flatbread) and rice today. Both chicken dishes were very flavorful and had just the right amount of spice. The roti and paratha were also fresh and tasty. The food’s taste and quality is very good! The service has also been great — they deliver when they say they will and come up the three flights of stairs in my building to my front door. There is room for improvement and the owner seems receptive to feedback. I have suggested that they offer combo dinners that include both a veggie dish and a meat dish, so the meal is more balanced. It would also be nice to have brown rice. Lastly, I hope they will develop an iPhone app soon — ordering on the computer seems a bit old school these days! The company can do plenty to strengthen their offering, but they have the fundamentals down — good food, decent price, and reliable service! Keep it up, Nani Food!

Indian food delivery. As their website says… it’s authentic, global and local. I’ve ordered their food once a week since I found out about them. The delivery service is simple and sweet. Basically you order on their website and pick between a vegetarian dish(comes with roti, sometimes daal and rice) and a non-veg dish. The menu changes daily M-Th. Then you pick your delivery window and the food is delivered! The delivery is always on time and with a friendly face. Now the food, the best part. The food is darn good. I’ve tried a variety of dishes(Shahi Paneer, Aloo Gobi, Daal, and Rajma) and all of it has been very tasty. They have the perfect amount of spice and the rotis are delicious. I can’t say enough about it. the food is fresh, the servings are perfect. Check it out!
