Looks like they’re out of business. Number is disconnected and there’s no listing at 411. Bummer.

I LOVE ModernPast — full of great mid-century modern pieces. Owner Ric Lopez has a fabulous eye and knows his customers. I’ve been lusting after various pieces there for years, & now I’m totally psyched to have a set of original Eames wire-frame chairs for my deck! :)

Lots of great 1950’s collectables. I picked up tortoise eye glasses frames, never used and matched perfectly to my skinny assed face for $ 40. Any other store in the city would be twice the price. Great stem ware and lucite.

If Gayle and I ever want to redecorate our house and experience our inner Don Draper and Joan Harris, Modernpast would be a good place to start. I’m also reminded of one of my Dad’s favourite sayings: «If you have to ask how much it costs, you can’t afford it». But never mind that, as this store is charming, and the selection is handsome, interesting, and fun. And whether you’re in the market or want a really neat museum experience, Modernpast is the place to be.

Charles Eames, check, they have some of the nicest pieces Ive seen. I agree it should just become a museum. If you love furniture, danish, contemporary style, these guys have it and are nice enough to talk to you about it.

Modernpast is a charming little store in the rapidly changing Glen Park downtown. The selection of 50’s modern furniture is very eclectic and a must see for any fan of that era.

Owned by local Glen Park tycoon Ric Lopez, this shop specializes in Danish Mod but also has classic mid-century modern pieces of all genre. Thumbs UP: They are always on queue with what the current micro trend is Thumbs DOWN: You definatly pay for the honor of owning one of these antiques.
