Walking around San Francisco, looking for a good place to eat without having to pay for a taxi cab, Miyabi sushi is conveniently located not too far from Fisherman’s Wharf. As long as you walk up next to the Trader Joe’s, this place is a good place to have dinner with friends! Not too busy inside the restaurant, there were about 5 – 6 people total here. Service was slow and inattentive but the food definitely made up for it. I ordered the Crazy Roll which had extremely fresh fish inside the seaweed wrap! I was pretty impressed by the quality of their fish. So although service was slow and amateur in dealing with customer service and who to help first, the freshness of raw fish was outstanding as you can see in the picture. Pricing was average too, about $ 9 per roll which isn’t too bad. So I’d definitely recommend this place if you like raw sushi and enjoy good food.

This place is good. been here a few times. you wouldn’t really expect this spot in the middle of the fisherman’s wharf area to be as good as it is. the sushi was great. the teriyaki and tempura was bomb too. Great service as well.

The place doesn’t seem to be too clean. Sushi weren’t the best. I’d expect better quality in San Francisco. Just mediocre. I hope I’m wrong.

omg this must be the worst experience for me to have dinner, I and my gf went to there for dinner and when we want to sit next to the wall, the waiter told me that it is reserved, but when we finished the food we found that the table is still empty, I can’t believe that someone will book the table THERE! The food here was too fatty, and my gf order tapuro udon, there were only 6 tapuro, only 2 of them were shrimps. I ordered seafood udon but I can’t see the seafood:) don’t waste time and money there plz!

They charged my card 3 times and I had only been there once. They charged it for 3 different amounts, I called them and spoke to a guy who continued to tell me he would check into it also had me email him a picture and still did not return a call or email. I had to have my bank dispute it.

I love this place, I live right up the street so it’s great for a quick sushi fix!!! They know my order too which is the sweetest, I don’t know her name but she’s the best!

My emergency sushi! Miyabi is my local sushi place and it provides me my basic dosage when my hands start shaking due to the lack of raw fish in my system! First I used to go there for their udans and nigiri, but over time I have graduated to their rolls, combination dinners, bento boxes, sashimi, etc. and I am yet to be disappointed. They also have a few Korean dishes on menu that I am yet to try, so there is variety. I admit that if I have the time to pick a place for sushi needs in San Francisco, I may pick half dozen other places in town, but If I am on foot in an early evening and do not feel like travelling too far from my neighborhood, Miyabi is the place I get my shot!

So happy to find that this place was open tonight. The green tea tasted like nori tea, this is not a complaint, I enjoyed the flavor and I hope it helps me feel a little better. Udon was lovely, nothing crazy, just what I needed. I was immediately greeted and assisted for take out. The vibe was warm and inviting, the other guest were all engaged in quiet conversations. The sushi bar was very clean… I usually check restrooms but. I didn’t tonight.

You know right away when they always have bulgogi on the menu, it is a Korean owned restaurant. haha They’re all the same. It was very empty… there were two guys that came and sat down all excited about sushi, but I think they left because of that. There aren’t that many sushi places around this area, so choices were limited. It’s pretty spacious, but I think Sushi On North Beach is better. I also had Beef Teriyaki, ribeye steak, which was okay… but it was overcooked, and a little pricey. Not bad. Just ok, I guess.

I used to go to this place for lunch about once a month. It was such a good deal on their lunch specials as you could get two rolls for less than ten dollars. The philadelphia and california rolls are really good here. Usually the place isn’t too crowded so if you are looking for a place to go to for sushi during the day this is a great spot. The staff is always super nice and attentive and you can see the main sushi preparers working on your food from behing their counters. The place is quiet and you are able to get work done if needed or just take the time to enjoy your food. The options are normal fair for a sushi place in north beach and despite the fact that they are near the tourist areas their prices don’t really reflect this. I don’t need too much when it comes to sushi. Is the rice good, do they have good specialty rolls and is the service nice. You can make it work with most other things. I always left satisfied when i went to this place and feel it should be getting more business than it currently does.

Very disappointed, miso soup so salty like ocean water, I order chicken teriyaki combo, over 20 minutes passed finally chicken came with one side cooked and one side chicken raw, I asked server to fix my food, took another 10 minutes when my chicken teriyaki came look like charcoal burned. I felt like I got punished for asked them to re cooked my food. Sorry !!!

Fish was average, salad was drenched in a creamy ranch-like dressing and the green tea was pretty much hot water(I asked for a fresh cup and there wasn’t any improvement). Very understaffed as well so the service was rushed and haphazard. When we arrived no one gave us any notice because they were so frazzled trying to keep up. Definitely better sushi in the city so I wouldn’t recommend this place.

so horrible. my husband got food poisoning after ordering salmon teriyaki lunch plate with sashimi. I had bi beem bop — i felt like the hot sauce smelled a little weird — like wet mop or something so i didnt use it after tasting it. i am pregnant but do not suffer from morning sickness or nausea. nor has my senses gone so sensitive. i am glad that i didnt have sashimi… but i wish my husband didnt have it — it’s been three days since we visited miyabi and he’s just starting to function — as in he’s not having to use the restroom every hour. i am so confused because this place had great rating for sushis… but i wonder if we went on a wrong day? literally a few hours after we had our food, we got home and he was sick. it made me realize that avoiding sushi while pregnant was a right choice — i know a lot of my friends eat suchi but when they do, they go somewhere they know is known for the freshness of the sushi. i am sorry, but we will not be back.

Nothing to write home about, but it’s good for the price! I had two rolls and and soup. Never eaten miso soup with a regular spoon before, oh well. Definitely dinner time business here with one waitress. I’ve been here 40 mins and just received my 2nd roll. No liquor due to license renewal still. Limited amount of rolls. I’d come back again though!

It is 2015 and my friend has to get up at the end of the meal run to the bank to get cash. Deal with real clean accounting like everyone else and put the card fees into the price. Like I said, 2015. Sushi was decent.

I bet they get busy sometimes because they don’t have enough hosts/hostesses, but the sushi is good!

Went there because it was late and wanted to have some sushi. The place didn’t serve alcohol probably because their license got revoked. It was late so we were the last 2 – 3 tables. We ordered promptly and the food was served soon. All I can say is that the rolls are just OK and not really special, perhaps it was because the rice is old since it was late?

Given Miyabi’s close proximity to the super touristy Fisherman’s wharf, one can’t help to be a little wary. It took me some courage and a very hungry stomach to venture into this establishment. The restaurant was rather quiet on a Saturday night. The huge dining room was only half full during prime dinner hour and the sushi bar was almost completely empty. My expectation was low and I was thankfully not disappointed. Miyabi is a typical Korean owned sushi restaurant. If saucy sushi rolls suit your fancy, there are a lot of choices on the menu. Quality of the fish was average. Nigiri was passable but the rolls were actually more likable. Portion is huge. One roll could be enough as a light meal for some.
