Cowboy salad. Medium dressing. Yes to the bread(because lets be real…) 95% of the time I come here I get the above. Its consistent, its good, healthy-er, quick; all the things you want in a FiDi lunch. There was a bit of a sticker shock when I first started working in the area, but I’ve reluctantly come to accept the fact that 14 dollar salads are a part of life in the FiDi. Everything is quality, none of that dry iceberg lettuce here, and the staff are really accommodating of any special requests. Don’t let the long lines intimidate you — they’ve got their process well figured out and the lines move pretty quickly. In an area with so many choices it can be overwhelming, this is a great foundation for those days where you just want something you know. They rotate some of their salads, but keep the regular ones(such as the cowboy) readily available(lucky for me). They also have a sort of quinoa bowls now, but their strong point is really the salads. Other noteworthy salads here are the cobb and the caesar salad. In the land of weekday soup & salad, their salads definitely rise above, making the seemingly shocking sticker price for a salad worth it in the end.

Fast. Fresh. Healthy. Exactly what we were looking for in the moment. Won’t change your life but kept us on a healthy eating plan. Seems popular.

First time here as I’m working in town. Loved the options and thought it was delicious. They worked fast and efficiently so we were out of their in no time. I’ll be back again for sure.

Mixt Greens is one of my go-to lunch spots. Normally this location. I usually do a DIY salad, but I will mix it up with their seasonal selections sometimes. The line can get crazy long, so come early!

We got food from Mixt Greens on Friday, April 22nd for our weekly office lunch. They ordered delivery through Caviar. Prices below are Caviar’s prices. I got the Mixt Cobb Salad($ 13.30): Butter lettuce, grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, blue cheese, avocado, cherry tomatoes, savory herbs, champagne vinaigrette, no egg. It was a huge salad full of fresh ingredients. Lots of butter lettuce, but they didn’t give us enough dressing for the size of the salad. Everyone ran out of dressing before finishing their salad. I had a bottle of balsamic in our fridge, so I finished off the salad with that. I was starving so the salad was the perfect size for me. I ate the whole thing. Good place to grab salads. If super hungry, this is a nice hefty portion. They pack a lot of greens in their salad boxes.

I used to go to the one down the street, which is a much bigger location, but then my office moved. This location is a lot smaller, but still seems to move swiftly. There are the regular complaints, largely price about the salads, but i don’t sweat it. the food is good, and organic. my review is more specifically about this location and their seeming inability to get my order right. Most notably with regards to almonds. So far, they are 0 for 2 for putting almonds in my salad. Yesterday, I got walnuts. I’m not allergic to walnuts, but for my wife, it’s a trip to the ER. Walnuts are also less delicious than almonds. Today I got olives. I’m not an olive fan and it made my lunch much less good. You may ask why i haven’t noticed when they are getting the topping– they almonds are in the back in a little jar, so I can’t see when they are adding them in. If I go back, I’ll make sure to double or triple check before I leave. I’m tired of getting back to my office and being disappointed. My other option is to just go back to the one in the alley, which never seems to have any problems.

Edit — This place has seriously gone downhill… I just got my Caesar Salad and was eating it and found an unexpected addition to the salad, a huge bug! Either a cock roach or Spider, I am posting a pic so you can see… Save to say I will never EVER be coming here again for a salad!!! *shivers*

Unreasonably long wait, underwhelming, $ 13 boring vegan salad… and the avocado wasn’t even ripe. I bet you can’t name one person who likes hard, tasteless avocado… and if you can, that person has unique taste. I would not recommend.

Good salads, seems to be lighter on the dressing which keeps everything tasting fresher. Good variety of ingredients in each salad, and they even have salad/sandwich combinations that complement each other well. Takes pick up orders, so you can skip the lunch rush by planning ahead. Weird thing to note — Ordered lunch for the office here, and was surprised to see that the SF Employer Mandate gets charged multiple times. I’m all for helping out the hardworking staff, but it’s curious to see them passing the cost on and adding on to the check per item, rather than building it into the price of the menu like so many other places.

It’s a 10 minute walk for me to get to this place, but it is completely worth it. The salads here are delicious. You can choose from the pre-designed salads, design your own salad from scratch, or split the difference and request modifications to one of the pre-designed salads. While the salads are a bit pricey, they are also quite large. Moreover, they are made with all fresh, locally sourced ingredients. A selection of sandwiches is also available, but I’ve actually yet to try them. Given the same people are behind Split Bread, though, I’d wager the sandwiches here are pretty good too. Beware that there is a lunch time rush and the line often stretches out the door at that time. You’ll need to allow 10 to 15 minutes to get your salad in this case. The peak time is usually 11:30AM — 1PM. Also, you may not want to wait too late to go there(they close at 3pm), as they do run out certain ingredients later in the day. If you become a fan of this place, I recommend that you sign up for the rewards program offered through Thanx: you receive a free salad after buying 10. Somewhat annoyingly, though, the«free salad» is only a $ 10 credit when all salads hover around $ 12.

Consistently really tasty and fresh salads. I am a fan! Sometimes, depending on my salad«chef», I feel rushed when choosing my toppings but generally, the chef is understanding of it. Is it more expensive than the alternative salad shop? Yes, but sometimes I do not mind paying the higher price. And, on those days that I feel more frugal, I purchase an organic salad from a competing shop. In San Francisco, that’s not difficult to do so saying that Mixt Greens is in my routine circulation says a lot!

Ugh let me work harder so I can afford that $ 16 salad on my lunch break. I already have a blue bottle and spin class addiction and I’m thinking this could complete the trifecta. Self-actualization immanent. Wait, what’s happening to me???

They got rid of the hatch salad and the park salad is no longer part of their fall menu. The park is replaced with the parker salad which is very inferior to the park. So what do I get now? SIGHSIGHSIGHHHHH. This place is just okay until I find another salad I’m in love with.

I’d heard the food was good but unfortunately, I had 30 people waiting over 40 minutes for their lunch on Tuesday December 8th. Delivery was scheduled for 11:45AM — arrived at 12:40PM. No apologies — or discount for lateness. I’ll not be ordering again.

I am a reluctant fan of Mixt Greens considering their selections are on the pricey side for lunch. Usually a salad will run me $ 13+. That being said, they really are filling which is usually not the case wth salads. Mixt Greens has an awesome selection of toppings and everything I have tried has been fresh and tasty. I always opt for their pre-made combinations since they are generally way better than anything I have come up with(that could just be my poor culinary skills, of course). My personal favorites are their seasonal fall salads(the Parker is so good!!!) as well as the grain bowls. They let you replace any one ingredient in their pre-made combinations if there’s something that you don’t like. I’ll be disappointed when these seasonal selections are gone — try them while you can!

I’m not much of a salad person. Or, rather, I’m not much of a «let me buy a salad for lunch» kind of person, so I’ve avoided places like Mixt Greens for, well, pretty much ever. Having binged a little too much on rich(literally and figuratively) food for too long though, I actually agreed to dropping by the last time my coworker suggested the place. Working my way through the expected lunch crush, which wasn’t so bad since the line moved quickly, I ended up ordering their Orchard salad, with dressing on the side. And, how was it? Enjoyable, for sure. Something I’d order again? Yeah, if I were in the mood. A place I’d frequent? Nah, definitely not. Something about paying ten bucks for a salad on the daily, when I could have a fully prepared hot meal instead just rubs me the wrong way. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue — Their main entrance has a couple steps, and is not at all accessible. However, there’s an accessible entrance through the building to the right, which brings you in through their back entrance. During lunch hours, it can be pretty crowded, so you’ll have to maneuver through the throng, to get to the end of the line(or, you know, be a jerk and cut). Bathroom — Didn’t try them.

Got the Zen today and it was really good. Perfect amount and the dressing is awesome. I asked for medium dressing and it was just right. I went in with the intention of adding tofu to my salad but totally forgot. When I went to the register the cashier asked if it had tofu and I was like«damnit…no». But in all actuality it was totally filling and satisfying without it so I just saved a few dollars and grams of sodium(the tofu is marinated). Next time I’ll get the tofu though and I’ll let you know how it was.

Fresh salads, well tossed, hearty ingredients. They ask you how much dressing you want, so it’s customizable. Have only tried the vegetarian salad so far, but the tofu was firm and lightly seasoned. Warning! lines around lunchtime are 10 minutes deep at least.

I did it. After months of passing this location for lunch, I decided to brave the line today and try Mixt Greens out. The line was a bit out the door, and I would say I waited about 15 mins. I think this is the usual wait time for this location at lunch time(although I went around 1). I thought the service/set-up was as time efficient as possible, so kudos to the servers for getting through the crazy lunch rush everyday. There’s an assortment of specialty salads, or you can create your own. I went for«the bachelor» which had flat iron steak. Yum, as a sucker for steak in my salads, I had to go for this option. I found that all the ingredients were very fresh, and the meal itself was very filling, hearty, and HEALTHY(for the most part). Will definitely visit again when I can afford to wait for lunch! A much better option than nearby SF Soup Co. and Specialty’s, just not as convenient.

I love the Maui salad with its butter lettuce, mango, avocado, cherry tomatoes, macadamia nuts and coriander crusted ahi tuna. But WHYISITNOW $ 16?!? It’s hard to eat healthy =/
