Minis Kids and Maternity

We walked in to the quiet sound of a sales person shocked over some health news. Unfortunately, it was sad news…
On a more neutral note, the items are not necessarily unique — the usual high-​end boutique brands you can find in other similarly stocked stores throughout the bay area. They have a lot of variety but never seem to have a lot of sizes in children’s clothing.
Awkward layout with random gaps in retail fixtures. Clothing was definitely overpriced, but nice selection of European children’s shoes. More maternity clothes than I remembered in the past, but some of the generic same things over and over. Sure, Bugaboo and other brands.
The matching children’s toys and harder-​to-​find matching plush was a standout… Quite expensive considering some area competitors are more aggressively priced for the same items.

Stopped in here to buy a last-​minute gift for a baby shower on Sunday and was not very impressed. The store was very pretty and nicely laid out and they had a selection of nice things, but it didn’t seem to have a soul or any originality. The San Francisco t-​shirts and onsies were really disappointing, they were basically cheap iron-​on decals. Not a good value for the price at all.
Plus it was virtually empty on a Sunday afternoon, when the rest of the street was packed. Maybe it was because the store employee was not that nice. The woman working gave me a dismissive, «Let me know if I can help you» and then began whining to the one other customer in there about how her stuffed frogs keep disappearing and how rotten parents are for not returning them.
Rather than warm and friendly, the atmosphere just seemed cold. I got a much better reception a couple of doors down at Wee Scotty’s.

Very nice boutique filled with adorable, unique, and fashionable children’s clothes and maternity wear.
My best friend just had a baby so I stopped in to browse and came out with a gift that I’m sure would impress even the pickiest of Marina mother’s out there.
Beware, the prices for a teeny little dress (that could fit my cat) are astronomical (try $ 80 on for size), but isn’t that a Godparents job to spoil the little buggers rotten?
