I tried several cleaners in SF and had really bad experiences, and I just wanted a company I could trust. My friend recommended Maid Perfect, and there are several reasons I liked them: — The owner(Greg) sends the same person each time, so they are held accountable and you build a relationship with them — They were very reasonable because you supply your own cleaning supplies(his workers rely on public transportation, which I respect) — Because you supply your own cleaning materials, you can keep it green/non-toxic — My particular cleaner was not over-scheduled, so she took her time with our house and didn’t do a rush job — The schedule was consistent — I wasn’t ever asked to reschedule because they had a conflict — Greg is very responsive and good on both email and phone

I have tried many cleaners through the years and I completely trust MaidPerfect. One time, I was not pleased with a replacement cleaner(the first cleaner left the business) and Bud instantly gave me another cleaner. I’ve had her for over 5 years and totally trust her. Her cleaning is superb. There is no job that she will not do. I highly recommend this business!

Maid Perfect is certainly not the largest maid service company, but are worth your consideration for several reasons: (1) the owner, Bud, is personally involved in all matters of scheduling and supervision of his cleaners. He has also assured us that he pays workers compensation for his cleaners, hires them as employees, not sub-contractors(this is a big deal for me as using sub-contractors is a lousy way to make extra money from someone’s labor), carries liability insurance for their work, and even offers them vacations. (2) they are very reliable — if they’ve scheduled a time, they will be on time or will contact you to let you know of any problems. I’ve used them for more than seven years and have never had them miss an appointment, although they have rescheduled when there was a problem. (3) on a very few occasions, I’ve reported breakage or damage. Usually the cleaner has already reported this, and I’ve never been challenged by Bud. (4) all of the cleaners are conscientious, and don’t make excuses or try to find some way of shirking the tasks I’ve asked them to perform. But all is not perfect. Most of the cleaners I’ve had are petite, which makes it difficult for them to see the tops of bookcases and cabinets unless they carry a step ladder around with them(which slows the cleaning process somewhat.) Each cleaner I’ve used over the years has been very literal — not necessarily a bad thing — and will not clean things they have not been asked to do, such as vacuuming the inside of closets. I have found that requesting specific cleaning will always get a task done. They are best at cleaning rooms that do not receive heavy soiling — my kitchen is always on the ragged edge of greasy because my range and char broiler cannot be pulled out from the wall, and my range hood is impossibly difficult to clean because of it. Sometimes I’ve felt as if requests or instructions are not completely understood, for instance, emptying the vacuum’s dust container or changing a vacuum bag(yes, I have two vacuums) is something I’ve simply given up on having them do, and several cleaners just can’t seem to get the hang of using extension hoses in order to vacuum stair runners. I’d have rated their service higher except for these things: would I recommend them? Yes, they are certainly worth your consideration, but are best when the cleaning tasks are very straightforward.
