Also loved being a patient of Dr. O’Connor’s. With a little sleuthing I found her at a clinic in Palo Alto:
Wish she was still in SF, but guess Palo Alto can work, too.

As everyone said Lisa was awesome! I received a letter from Dr. Williams that said she was going to to be moving to Lillie Mosaddegh’s West Portal Office, but I called them and they said that she left. Does anyone know where she went to?

Absolutely loved being a patient of Dr O’Connor over the years. She is kind, smart, competent, patient, professional … a pleasure! And so was the front desk staff at the 45 Castro office.

Lisa O’Connor and her staff are extremely nice and pleasant. In the past I would get my eye exams done downtown but her office is close to where I live so I decided to give her a try. I did not make a mistake. Pretty much everything about the visit and exam was exceptional but again praise to the personalities and atmosphere of the office, the staff, and Lisa.

I’ve seen Lisa for over 5 years now. The staff is sharp, kind and efficient. Lisa O’Connor has one of the best bedside manners of any physician I’ve seen. A+

Moved to SF and needed a prescription for new contacts, Unilocaled this office and fully agree with all positive reviews.
Dr O’Connor is personable, professional, fast, and made me feel like her number 1 priority was my good vision, not making money. That’s incredibly rare in medical professionals these days. Appointments even happened within 15 minutes of scheduled time.
Office staff is friendly, call with appointment reminders, say things like «might be running 15 minutes late, wink wink», and were generally extremely helpful to work with.
After 25 years of going to eye doctors, I know the staff here did a thorough job on my exam. They contacted my old eye doctor to get my prescription, double checked that prescription against my vision, and didn’t charge me for a new prescription exam. I paid cash and I paid, no joke, about a quarter of what I expected to be charged based on my experience with my last eye doctor.
I was asked to come back for a follow up in a couple weeks to check the fit of my new pair of contacts, and was not charged for the follow up visit. Amazing!
I can’t recommend Dr O’Connor and her office highly enough.

I’ve been going to Dr. O’Connor for years. She’s an amazing eye doctor for an adult and, moreover, for my two children. Taking kids to any doctor is a stressor, then add the whole scary eye equipment and… well, there’s the potential for some serious meltdowns. Being a mother herself, Dr. O’Connor understands kids and is able to get a thorough exam out of my children. In fact, they look forward to their visits with her because of her sweet, calm demeanor. Dr. O’Connor is wonderful as is the rest of her incredibly welcoming staff. Our family definitely recommends them all!

Lisa O’Connor and the entire staff are very nice and thoroughly accommodating. This is not a shopping mall or warehouse store type of business. I have been for many eye exams and they are all different. Lisa does a really complete exam and not only listens to what I say, but solicits input. I only have one pair of eyes (you may have more to spare). It is worth the money to get it done right.

I had an appointment with Dr. Lisa O’Connor yesterday and she was so attentive and thorough. Her two front staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be looking forward to my next appointment.

I’ve been going to eye doctors since I was a boy. At this point, I can pretty much operate any of the machines myself. This means I’m picky about how an eye place runs. Lisa O’Connor runs a good shop. The front staff is efficient and knowledgable and friendly.
Dr. O’Connor is fast and thorough. It’s quite funny how she’ll adjust a machine, ask you if thats comfortable, then begin to blast a bright light at your retina.
If you think you can manage it, get some disposable sunglasses on the way out to soothe your dilated eyes and quell your sense of style.

Eye check up.

Met Dr. O’Connor for the first time yesterday. Mixed reviews here raised my antenna; but after my OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE — two thumbs up. She’s patient, informative, friendly, kind and took all the time needed to make me feel comfortable and understand my eye issue. Everyone has opinions, find your own through your own experience, I say. Positive experience all around. Thank you!

What a great office! From the moment I walked in the door, everyone was happy to be doing their job.
I had the most amazing and complete exam. They walked through all my needs and really worked hard to be sure that I could see what I needed to see.
Kudos to the whole office!

I just want to restate once more how wonderful and helpful this office is. I can’t get over the level of customer service they offer — I have started to think of them as the Nordstrom of doctors offices. To echo another reviewer here, if I could, I’d give Dr. O’Connor and staff 10 stars — they are without a doubt, the best eye doctors I’ve ever seen, in 30+ years of wearing glasses/​contacts!

Dr. Lisa O’Connor is the best! She is very caring and professional and just a really good person overall. I really enjoy my visits here. I am confident that I am getting the best eye care available.

If I could give Dr. O’Connor 10 stars, I would! This review is long overdue.
I started working with «The Amazing Office Of Dr. O’Connor» in 2006. My eyes were dry from wearing hard and gas permeable contacts for 25 years. They were constantly red and uncomfortable. Because of a very high astigmatism, I did not think soft contacts were an option. But Dr O’Connor told me that with perseverance and a great deal of commitment, I could make the transition from hard, dry contacts to soft.
What I did not realize was the true commitment to give me comfortable sight was coming from her.
Dr O’ Connor stuck with me for what could have been up to ten appointments in one year, if not more. As you transition from hard to soft contacts, your cornea shifts and changes. And with every change, you need to be re-​fit. Most doctors would give up — because, and here is the drum-​roll, after the first visit, the rest are follow ups and are not paid for! That’s nine plus visits that she committed to so that I could be comfortable and seeing clearly.
So, Dr O’Connor continued to work with me for a year to finally get me into soft contacts. She continues to be a dedicated, diligent doctor, and has a graceful, wise, kind and endearing bedside manner. I found it hard not to call her Lisa because she truly feels like a good friend!
BUT…
I can not stop there! Because the true mark of an amazing doctor experience is as much about the staff and the office management as it is the doctor. And, girlz! Alena and Gina make life blissful, organized, familiar, friendly and fun.
The icing on the cake was during my last appointment, I paid a fee. The next week I receive a call form Gina who tells me they are refunded my money because there was no fee! I mean — who does that anymore!
This is a dream team of eye professional that make me believe in people again. THANK YOU!

This office is such a pleasant place and has such nice people working there. Usually a doctor, dentist, (insert medical profession here) office is so horrible to deal with but these people are just SO SERIOUSLY NICE. They always work with your schedule, even forgiving horrible people like me that need to constantly reschedule eye dialation (!1?! that shit is SCARRRY, no need to ruin a Thursday…).
On to the Doctor. Dr. O’Connor is a nice young woman, always like to give a shout out to other successful professionals in the same age range, and she gives a great exam. (Ok I know it’s sort of funny to give a «great» eye exam, but she really is gentle and quick with the annoying stuff). She is has also been very helpful with diagnosing my dry eye syndrome and has got me on new and improved contacts and drops to fix the problem. She also has a great attitude and will work with you and your insurance to take care of your problems.
I know it seems weird to five star an eye doctor, but they really make a usually annoying and painful experience pleasant.
