It says«use less soap, it’s better for your clothes» WRONG! Use less soap because there isn’t enough water going into the machine and will leave a ton of soap and stain your clothes

As other people have mentioned, this place is cheap and convenient, have never had to wait for a machine(unless you want the two jumbo-sized washing machines, which are often occupied). And yes, I think Ms. M.M. is wrong, because this laundromat is a couple blocks away from the nearest 12 bus stop.(She’s thinking of the one at Hyde & Pacific, I imagine.) Only caveat: I don’t know if this is still true(the warning signs are still up after several years), but there is apparently a local«panty thief» who at least used to regularly steal women’s underwear from machines here. At one point someone posted a note saying something like«I’ve lost 40 pairs of panties here!» So, I guess if you’re a woman and you value your underwear, you might want to actually bide your time in the laundromat during your wash cycles rather than go home and risk theft from some perv.

I dont think Ms. M. M. is reviewing the right laundromat since the 12 bus line is on Pacific, whereas this landromat is between Broadway and Vallejo, I think she is talking about the blue one on Pacific and Leavenworth. I’ve never had any problems at this one.

So I learned in class today, this laundry mat has a criminal record. Look up Wong Sun v. United States(1963) 371 U.S. 471

AVOID! I lived across the street from here for 3 years and this place was my only means of doing laundry. Yes, its convient and hardly ever crowded. HOWEVER, I had about a dozen items of clothing disappear on me over the course of that 3 years! I would time my washes to the minute, most times coming back while the machine was still in spin mode. And still… items disappeared. These were items that had to be taken from the washer itself(not the dryer) because I would have air dried them back at my apartment. Here’s my theory… this laundromat is right on the 12 bus line and often times people waiting for the bus would park themselves on the seats inside. Well, I am convinced that the culprits were one of these unsuspecting bus patrons who sat there watching me put my nice clothes in the washer and run back across the street to my apartment who then decided to open the washer and help themselves to a piece or two of my personal apparel.

I live up the street from this place and it’s pretty clean. Never really crowded. Perfect place to do laundry without the hassle. I actually just got back from doing laundry, on a Sunday, the day that most dread doing it, and I had no problem getting two machines. I even accidentally left my box of Bounce in the laundromat and no one took it. Talk about safe! My only problem is that they raised the prices on the washer machine from 1.75 to 2.00. I guess the times are just a’changin(I just realized that was a pun).
