Solid. The only Mexican nearby my office, so I stop by from time to time. Definitely nowhere near as good as the stuff you can get in the Mission, but it’s pretty okay stuff.

I’m a bay area native and have been eating at local mexican restaurants every week of my life for 40 years. This truck makes some of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my life. They have amazing flavors and seasoning, such as mangos with the shrimp tacos. I actually went back for a second round, there were so delicious. Not sure why the other bad reviews of this place, but I doubt those folks know mexican food or enjoy real flavors.

Steak ‘super’ burrito worst I’ve ever had. Avo/sour cream/cheese was a barely detectable oily slime. I actually thought all three were missing. So they gave me a side of ‘avo’. It was more like green mayonnaise. The rest of the burrito was just a salt and pepper mess. Que terible.

I had the grande shrimp burrito for lunch today. The burrito had an outstanding flavor and contrary to many of the reviews for La Fisheria, i thought the shrimp was delicious. So why isn’t this a 5 star rating? The burrito was extraordinarily messy and when you are a taco truck without a physical location this can be a huge problem. We are talking about a 5 napkin lunch… other than that, good overall quality.

I ordered a super steak burrito that turned out to be horrible. It supposedly comes with beans, meat, cheese, sour cream and guacamole but what I got was actually a RICE burrito! 90% rice(white rice). Not once did I taste any cheese or cream or guacamole. Just rice, Pico de gallo, some dry refried beans and hardly any meat. Deff not worth $ 8. I’m extremely disappointed as I am a big fan of taco trucks, which to me always have tasted better than any brick n mortar place. Except for la fisheria.

I go here for lunch on a regular basis, and it’s consistently enjoyable. It’s not comparable with the best Mexican places in the city, but I don’t and wouldn’t hesitate to go here when it’s convenient. It’s actually pretty unique among taco trucks(I think?), as a high-seafood-situation. They have seafood eeeverything. Seafood quesadillas, nachos, etc. This is a strange but pretty awesome experience. I also learned recently that you can actually request a specific kinds of seafood for your dish. I’ve just been asking for seafood for months. I have not idea what«seafood» is here, but it was good!

My seafood burrito should have been called a rice burrito. I need more protein than that. It tasted fine, but I feel empty inside.

Pretty much the worst tacos I’ve had in sf. Cold tortillas. Carne asada with no flavor. Weird cream and cabbage. Wasn’t even busy and now it makes sense why. Avoid.

Time: 3:06pm/74°F partly sunny Purpose: Coming back from dogpatch area caught traffic on Folsom street. Inching my way to 3rd st corner of my eye saw a sign advertising 3 Al Pastor tacos for $ 5. Made a right into service station got out and ask if that’s correct. Set-up: Mobile Food truck(Mexican), plastic table with 3 chairs, corner of 5th/Folsom(inside Shell station). The truck looks like a bunch of kindergarten kids let loose with brushes and paints doing away the sea life theme. Staff: Two guys could be father and son duo. They don’t know how to say hi here. As you have to be the one to orchestrate how business models are conducted. Funny thing is they speak and understand English real well. Older guy was kinda curt, no use to ask anything further. Cleanliness: Grade C-, garbage from previous customers pile and stuff underneath the truck opening box. This was right next to the table as string wind picks up you’ll get a wiff of foul odor. The inside of truck I don’t want to think the worst case scenario but something tells me have your doctor’s number handy. I’ll see if that holds after 48 hrs if I’m not in pain then I’m ok. Eats/Drinks: Order their special of the day 3 Al Pastor tacos $ 5. Comes with cabbage, pico de gallo, salsa, cilantro, pork and 2 wedges of lime. Flavor wise wasn’t a hit. The pork was luke warm probably left over from earlier lunch time. What shock me was the meat has a shade of reddish his coloring. Hope it wasn’t food coloring. For the price and weight of 3 tacos it’s alright. I felt the price includes utensil, paper plate, and 1.5 feet of foil. Didn’t get a drink have plenty in trunk of car, just need ice. Products/Services: Tortas, quesadillas, burritos, tacos, sides, kid’s menu, cold juices/water/sodas. Punch Lines: Convenient, hard to find parking, cheap, package ingredients, dumbfounded workers, wait to can fall asleep, sanitary issues, plastic chairs with chip legs, quick bite, no umbrella tables(gets you a tan with order). Tradeoffs: Don’t let the truck theme fools you into thinking shrimp cocktails or other seafood items. Truck is for making kids happy nagging their parents to come closer and spend. Great scheme along with fb following. Final Thoughts: When it comes to food trucks some are out of this world and kick yo ass good. I could’ve done better at La Salsa for sure. No tortilla chips with order means they probably buys the cheapest head of cabbage and lowest grade of pork. That’s exactly how I felt. La Fisheria is alright not the best in SOMA just enough to get your money and adiós amigos, till next time.

Delicious food served quickly by friendly guys at a good price. I’ve only ever had fish and shrimp here so I can’t comment on their meat. Shrimp quesadilla is monstrous with tons of cheese. Shrimp burrito is my go to when I’m especially hungry — I prefer it regular instead of super. But the fish tacos are what its really all about.

I am so surprised by the low ratings because I actually like their fish tacos. Found this place accidentally because I need gas. La Fisheria was parked in front of Shell gas station. It was friday night and there seemed to be a lot of club goers in the area and was pretty busy. My boyfriend and I was coming back from dinner but decided try one of their fish taco. I was actually full already but… why not! I ordered the sole fish taco and the bf had the salmon. My sole taco was very tasty, but I didn’t like the salmon as much. Would come back again to try the mahi mahi next time. This was one of the better seafood taco truck that I have tried in Northern Califormia. In Socal, there are tons seafood/fish taco trucks so I am really glad that I found one here.

The fishiest-tasting(and smelling) fish I’ve had in a very long time. I had the seafood burrito and didn’t finish it because of this.

La Fisheria touts fish tacos in an header on their food truck but i didn’t see it on the menu. local: soma street park(6⁄22) menu: typical mexican offerings at food truck prices eats: tostada deviche(3)-tilipia –tried to order the mixta(mix of crab, octopus, shrimp?) was asked if i wanted shrimp or tilipia. huh? went with tilipia obviously cashier didn’t know menu –onions, peppers, lime juice, lime slice, etc. with tilipia bits –good value frijoles refritos: -«si food» showed up on many food descriptions, unclear what it is –average time for prep. 5 minutes?
