Roof top bar! Yes!!! On a hot sunny day, this is the place to be! It will be busy, so get there early. Grab a cocktail and relax. Great ambiance. Grab a table if you want to order some munchies… Food isn’t phenomenal but pair well with drinks.

This review is solely on customer service. Came here with a party of 5 for the first time. Samone the bartender was very rude and disrespectful. She has a very bad attitude. It seems like she didn’t like her job, but that is no excuse to give bad customer service. The restaurant was full so we decided to sit at the bar to order. Samone did not even acknowledge us or even smile. I asked Samone a question about the menu and she rolled her eyes and replied” like I said before”. Apparently my girlfriend had asked a similar question, but even though you should be professional at all times. You can’t run a business with out customer service. Bad first impression rather spend my money else where. Peace!

5 stars to Cynthia & Annie(Managers/Event Coordinators) for being so lovely and prompt over e-mail to make sure my birthday brunch would go as planned! Upon arriving, we had a table in the sun for 10 people and it was everything I had asked. 5 stars to the waiters for being attentive and super friendly. I don’t remember their names, but they were awesome and made our dining experience enjoyable. 5 stars for the BRUNCH. Holy moly the food is so good, probably one of the best I’ve had in the city. Our favorite was the boneless chicken & waffles. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the waffle was buttery. We also had the huevos rancheros which came in a generous portion with fried eggs, chorizo, salsa, guacamole, and beans. You can also ask for the egg to be scrambled. Skip the coffee(it’s too bitter), and go with the orange juice. My friend had the eggs benedict which looked good but her poached egg was overcooked :(I would definitely come back to jones for brunch. The bar is cash only which is annoying and senseless, but for food, they take Visa or MasterCard and they will take up to 2 cards per table. It wasn’t crowded on a Sunday morning and the ambiance of the outdoor patio is really nice and upscale. Feels like a slice of NYC in the Tenderloin(of all places). They also have tulip umbrellas they can open for you if it gets too sunny! I would definitely recommend Jones for an outdoor group brunch! So why am I giving the place 3 stars? The hostess was incredibly rude and unfortunately put a damper on our experience here. She wouldn’t seat us at our table despite us assuring her that the remainder 2 people of our 10 would be there shortly. I understand that rules are rules, but good service is being able to accommodate guests when things don’t go as planned. The restaurant was pretty much empty when we asked to be seated, so it wasn’t like there were people in line behind us who were ready! She was defensive when I asked if we could just sit at the table so we didn’t have to loiter around and feel unwelcome. It was awkward for such a big group to be standing around waiting for a table that was already set up for us– I had arranged it with the event coordinators over a week in advance! After trying to explain some logic to her, she said we could talk to the manager. The manager immediately sat us at the table that was reserved for us and let us order. Shoutout to the manager because we were starving. If any management is reading this, please pass the message along to your hostess so this doesn’t happen again to other group parties!

Happy hour is from 5−7pm, and they offered $ 4 beer(particular bottles only) and $ 5 house wine or sangria, which was not a bad deal. Both the wine and sangria were very tasty! I really liked the outdoor patio garden area and the high table seating overlooking the balcony. Unfortunately, that was actually the smoking area, so we got some collateral damage. They also have full service dinner on the main patio, but they won’t serve food in the smoking area(too bad). Just wish they had heat lamps on the patio too. I really liked how they decorated the patio garden and the walls — makes it feel like a small retreat in the middle of the city. I could imagine this as a great place for a party or even corporate event as it’s large enough to hold quite a big group of people.

Jones has an alleyway like entrance with a guy standing outside checking ID’s. Walking inside, there is an outside seating area to the right and an indoor seating area to the left where you can order food. Depending on the kind of experience you want, you have those options. Drinks are fairly priced, as beers are $ 6 each. I had a nice time hanging out inside and outside. I definitely wouldn’t mind hanging out here if the opportunity presented itself to me again.

Head down the sort of alleyway to find Jones. It is considered a «rooftop» bar because it is above a one story space, allowing you to look down on the sidewalk, but there are tall buildings that surround it, giving it more of a patio feel. The outdoor area is strung with fun twinkle lights and filled with plenty of seating. The drinks are super unique and really delicious. We didn’t opt for food, but eyeing the loaded trays that passed me made me wonder if I chose correctly. We warned that it is cash only! A lot of people were complaining about that because really who carries cash with them in they age of Über and Apple Pay? The bar itself is long and narrow with a few tvs. The bartenders do a great job mixing the drinks with tons of fresh ingredients. Definitely a spot we will come back to!

A bar that codes down at 1:40 on a Saturday night. What a charmer. Got pushed out before I even finished my drink. Wow. Great management. Wish I could leave zero stars but the app makes me leave at least one.

Went here for happy hour on a Friday at 5:30 and would totally recommend it. One of my favorite outdoor bars in SF. It has a large outdoor space that is on street level on one side and then is a rooftop looking down over the street on the other side, because the building is on a hill. They have great happy hour deals — one $ 5 cocktail(it was Sangria), $ 5 wines(which were actually quite good for happy hour wine), and $ 3 Heineken or Anchor Steam. Bring cash because the bar is cash only! If you sit at a table, a waiter will take your order and you can pay with card. I’d recommend making a reservation — the outdoor tables were all taken or reserved by the time we arrived, although we did manage to get a table after about 25 min(they are all first come-first serve except for the reserved ones). The tables closest to the bar have heating lamps but not all the tables do. I noticed on their website that they are sometimes closed for private events — check that out before you go!

PROS. place its nice. Indoor and outdoor seating with a lively atmosphere with good music. CON. Food! Not an extremely interesting selection general items you would find and most places, wings were unfortunately low grade and meatballs seemed discount store bought, for the prices not worth it. Speatzle was like nothing ive ever had, and ive had it before. No taste do not order. Would have been nice if server had better knowledge of menu items and ability to describe. Will come back for drinks but thats all. Eat at another place and come here for the drinks. Edit to review… we asked the server to remove the spaetzle and to our surprise, he had slready removed it. Thank you for that.

I hardly ever venture into the TL, so I was a little skeptical about checking out Jones. Boy, was I wrong! Who would’ve thought a swanky outdoor«rooftop» bar would be located in this neighborhood? I say rooftop with quotes because it’s more like a rooftop on a two story building.(So don’t get your hopes up for swanky views of the city.) What I love about this bar is that it includes everything: outdoor patio with tons of seating, a dance floor, three bar counters, and an interesting bathroom layout. The ambiance of the place was just awesome! And of course, it’s great when the bartenders have a heavy hand. ;) Happy Hour on Tuesdays through Fridays from 5pm-7pm: — $ 5 Jones drink special and wine — $ 3 Jones beer special — $ 5 – 15 light bites I’d definitely be back to check out their happy hour food items. Cheers!

Visited yesterday after a long day of work and absolute loved this place! The drinks we so tasty and strong ;). Their appetizers there are very filling and a generous amount. Jones have a great outside patio, young professionals visit often. Defiantly going to be visiting again.

I didn’t realize that Jones existed! This is such a lovely events space… I want to host a mixer here now. My friends and I came on a Friday night, and it was surprisingly not crowded. There are plenty of places to sit outdoors. There are some seats at the bar and near the bar area. We did not order food, but apparently you need to be sitting here in order to eat off the food menu. There are also benches near heaters which seemed cozy. However, the small group of us chose to sit at the tables with barstools overlooking Geary Street. Very charming place to take a date or casually hangout with friends. They have a variety of tasty cocktails and beers. When it got too cold that evening, we migrated indoors, where there was even MORE seating and a separate bar. This is also where the co-ed restrooms are located. Neat space overall. Oh and take note that this place in cash only!

Really cool place. Upscale. Three bars to choose from. CASHONLY. Part inside, part outside. Definitely hard to find a table on a weekend night but you can hang out in the open patio area. Nice menu. Don’t be shocked when you use the restroom. It’s communal and the BIG deal is when you are in the stall… you hear moaning… lots of it. And heavy breathing… and well, «action.» But it’s all piped in through the speakers in the ceiling. Totally funny because it does make you pause… and listen… and giggle… maybe even blush. Well done Jones!

I love Jones on weekends. On weekdays, it feels too empty given the huge space. The décor is gorgeous and there are plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. It overlooks the TL and almost makes the neighborhood look decent. The bathrooms are coed(individual stalls) so don’t be alarmed. I think the biggest problem with Jones is that the drinks are not always that great. The food options are plentiful and tasty and I would recommend Jones either during HH to take advantage of the deals or on a Friday/Saturday night.

My new favorite bar in SF! Great yuppie crowd and tasty cocktails. People weren’t as social as I had hoped but apparently that’s standard operating procedure around here. We did meet some weirdos towards the end of the night including one guy who climbed on us and this other dude with a suspiciously fake accent. I loved all the cocktails I sampled, I highly recommend the Crowd Pleaser and the Sparkle Pony. Cash only but there’s an ATM near the bathrooms.

My boyfriend and I came for brunch on Valentines Day and we are so happy we got to finally try this spot. We were afraid that there would be a lot of people since it was Valentines day. We got there 10 minutes after 11 and there was a lot of tables open. We got seated right away and our server was so sweet! If you can pick your server, Jessica is amazing! She recommended the bottomless mimosas and I was so down to get a little tipsy on a Sunday morning! She was so good at keeping my drink bottomless, I didn’t need to ask her to give me refills. She knew exactly when I needed it. I definitely had food coma after my meal that day because we ordered way too much food. I wanted to try everything on the menu! We ordered: Truffle fries Italian Sausage and Artichoke pizza Huevos Racheros Smoked Salmon Benedict All were amazing dishes. I can’t say anything bad about their food! It is a must try if you want a nice brunch!

One of my favorite spots in the Tenderloin. From the outside Jones doesn’t look like much, but once you walk in(or out for that matter) you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the large space and spectacular city views. There’s a huge outdoor patio, numerous bars, and plenty of seating both inside and out. I’m a big fan of outdoor patios and this is one of my favorites in San Francisco. The Tenderloin has become pretty trendy over the last few years and Jones a solid choice if you’re going out in the neighborhood. It’s a great spot to bring a group of friends, go on a date, grab a drink after work, or heck even bring the family. My friend brought his parents out with us one night when they were visiting and they loved it! FYI, like other Unilocalers have mentioned it’s cash only so come prepared.

A complete disaster and hot mess. First off, it aims to have a slightly upscale feel but the venue itself is really dirty outside with people smoking(both cigarettes and I’ve seen another person get high out in the open). It’s also a cash only bar — what? The bartenders are also not the friendliest people. I asked a bartender for water and he looked me in the eye and proceeded to ignore my request! However, when someone else asked to order an alcoholic drink, he complied. Just terrible. Minus stars for the dirty venue, questionable crowd(still cannot believe someone was openly getting high and the servers just walked past him like it was normal) and rude service. I will never be coming back.

Several bars all over the place, lots of seating, outdoor, pretty chill. Plus you can people watch from the roof top. I don’t think this is like a club that you want to get your dance on and stuff, but to pre-game, or to drink and not be in a stuffy club/lounge to have some fresh air– pretty great.

My friend brought us to Jones after we grabbed dinner in the Financial District. I’ve been to Jones twice now and really enjoy the vibe of this bar. Both times my friends and I have had a really good time. I love the outdoor patio space with the heat lamps and benches. The drinks are good — I’m never pleased paying SF bar prices for drinks but Jones serves up tasty drinks. Maybe it’s the company of my friends and the good conversations we have, but I like to come to Jones to have a drink and just hang out. I have to admit the first time I came to Jones and used the bathroom, I was confused about the unisex set-up. But now, I actually find it super convenient and kind of entertaining to watch unsuspecting bar-goers when they discover that men and women use the same bathroom.(Don’t worry — you’re in separate stalls!)
