Wow! What a fun atmosphere. Mick Jagger meets Union Square. Loved the Scotch Eggs. Ask for Mikey in the back room.

Dropped by last Saturday 2.2.13 after seeing an article in a magazine/paper(which one I forget). At first I wasn’t sure it was open for business, you have to ring a bell, get inspected then you gain entry after they deem you safe. I don’t blame them given the somewhat sketchiness of the neighborhood. Once inside it’s like being in your dream home! Filled with beauty, glamor and the occasional fascinating oddities, I wanted everything but what was the most notable thing was the lovely and ever so friendly and professional sales associate or rather informative without being condescending store and design associate, I hate that I forgot her name! Anyway it’s been a long time since I’ve felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer whether I was looking for buying as obvious I was just looking. I will say however there were some Alexandra von Furstenberg acrylic bowls I became obsessed with… hoping to return one day to purchase one. All thanks to the wonderful and lovely nameless young lady who welcomed us into the showroom/store. I wish there were more of you in the retail/design world, you make it so easy to buy and/or desire things I really don’t need but I WANT!!! See you at one of the store parties. :)

This storefront does wonders for the neighborhood and is a great place to buy gifts. The wrapping paper is a nice touch too. Of course, the interior design of the store is fantastic.

Buy local. San Francisco, designer Jay Jeffers’ furniture and lighting collection is made in California. He and his husband, fashion consultant, Michael Purdy collaborated on this stylish endeavor with a mix of photography, jewelry, rugs and carefully curated objects found in their travels.
