GREAT pastrami sandwich and hiomemade macaroni salad. The location is awesome if you want to go to ATT Park and not spend a fortune to eat or walk around the Ferry Bullding and relax by the water. The sign says«Breakfast and Lunch» but we had dinner on a Saturday night before the Billy Joel concert

Mom and I just had breakfast here for the first time, it was delicious! Had an omelette, potatoes(home fries) and toast… Mmmmmmm! Mom had a stack of fluffy pancakes, sausage, bacon and eggs… She was satisfied and happy :) I highly recommend eating outside in front of water… It was a beautiful day and great view to everything!

bacon cheeseburger was delicious, as was their fries. But the fact that they are CASHONLY sucks monkey balls.

We came to the Java House before, but just had coffee, beer and fries on previous occasions. On this day we had a guest from out of town and took him to the Java House for brunch. I had the special with Sausage, Eggs(sunny side up) and pancakes. The food was very delicious. Especially the sausages, eggs and the pepper sauce made an awesome combination. If you get the chance to sit outside, do this. It offers a great view onto the marina and you can watch the people walking by. It tends to be busy on game days.

If you want a greasy american burger, and why wouldn’t you, then I highly recommend this place. I always get the bacon cheese burger when I’m here. When ever I’m in SF, I try to get at least two visits to this place, especially if its nice weather. Sitting out side near the water having a great burger for lunch is awesome. Btw, they now take credit card.

Pretty good selection of drinks. But the breakfast sandwich doesn’t look like much, but it is to die for! There is the AT&T ballpark in the back, and the shipyard which are both great views while your eating breakfast or lunch. I got the sparkling apple juice and the breakfast sandwich with bacon and cheese. It’s nearby many locations which is great when you want to walk around after eating. Overall I give 5 out of 5.

The Java house is one of my favorite places to eat a nice breakfast in the morning, this place has been here for ages along the embarcadero. Weather you live in the area or visiting and near by stop in and grab a bite to eat and enjoy the views of the marina on pier 40 while eating along side of the Java house, in my opinion I prefer to enjoy my breakfast out doors its peaceful and joyable during the early hours, but if there’s a ball game going on you might want to avoid this place because it will be packed full of people. There menu is simple for breakfast and lunch, for breakfast you can get eggs, home fries, bacon, ham, hot cakes, toast(white, wheat, multigrain) etc. I usually come in for 2 eggs over easy, bacon, home fries, and mutigrain toast. For lunch you can get sandwiches, soups, and salads etc. There is usually someone that owns the place that is at the counter taking your order and one cook on the griddle, the service is very friendly and the food is good no wonder they’ve been open for ages. This is a cash only establishment, if cash is needed no worries there is a atm machine on site. I will always visit this place for breakfast whenever I’m in town, I love this little spot.

Wish I could give half stars — Java House food may be a 3, but the location, ambience and experience make it worthy of another half star. Grab an open air seat and a crab sandwich on lightly grilled sourdough, and enjoy your day by the bay.

I got the giant burger and it was pretty good. However, this place is overpriced for what you get. My burger was 10.50 and didn’t include fries. This place has a mom and pop feel which is nice if you like that sort of thing.

Pretty cool little breakfast spot right on the water about 600 meters from the giants stadium, they serve breakfast and lunch.

Been here before. Great burger and fries. But why does it say it’s open today, 11÷19÷14, and discovered it was closed? Is it because it’s raining now so you think there’s no business??? Smh… Still going to give you 3 stars cause I like the place.

Nice little place for a snack outside of AT&T ball park. Few tables but you can take to go and eat anywhere along the Embarcadero.

What a fun spot to visit before any baseball game! We are always running late to week-night games, and we just take a few extra minutes to stop here for a burger and a beer before we go. The service here is always very friendly. I only wish they stayed open until after the games– we really could use a cup of coffee by that point.

This may not be the most fair review ever as we didn’t end up eating there. However, there is something to be said about first impressions. We were looking for a place to eat lunch and as we hadn’t been there before decided to check it out. It was around 1:30pm on a Monday. When we walked in there was nobody in there except a man in the open kitchen and another one sitting at a table. He promptly got up, walked behind the counter and greeted us in a very surly and uninviting manner. We stood right inside the door and looked at the very uninspiring menu board on the wall. To be perfectly honest, the place looked like a dump. We decided to leave, said«thank you» and walked out without one word from the two men. Tip: Maybe people will give your place another chance if you are friendly and welcome them back another time.

Best overpriced crappy burger that I just can’t get enough of! How do I even begin to explain why I enjoy frequenting this spot. I just love it and for reasons I can not quantify. It’s just a little shack near the water, but on a warm SF day there is no place I rather be to bask in the sun on lunch before heading back into work. That is if I’m in the mood for a huge greasy burger which isn’t often, but perhaps more often then it should be. The staff are friendly and has a real Mom and Pop kind of feel. There isn’t much variety at all, but you should be going there for the huge ass burger with bacon and egg with a side of fries. If you’re going for anything else, you’re doing it all wrong. It’s cash only and like i said a bit over priced, but if you want a real traditional burger and some sun on your lunch break grab some friends and walk on down to the Java House.

Filthy, overpriced dump. Pigeons from the streets on the tables pecking at the salt shakers. Plastic chairs looks like they salvaged them from the garbage and covered in grime.

Came here with a coworker because we were really craving lunch for breakfast. Absolutely stunning location right along the Embarcadero — on a nice day it’s perfect, overlooking the bay and the giant arrow figure. The food itself was pretty good, but slightly overpriced for a diner style restaurant. But of course, again, the location was prime. I got two eggs and bacon. Plain-ish, but what do you expect!

$ 8 beer and hot dog from the bar area of Java House. You can’t beat that for a meal before catching a game next door at AT&T Park. Looking at all the other foods Java House serves up for a mean breakfast/lunch, I should of ordered from the main restaurant. Their burgers, and breakfast looked so good. Sit outside on a nice warm day and watching the boats, yachts go by. Eat a quick meal if you don’t want to spend $$$ inside the park. No credit cards in the bar area, yes in the dining area. One small shared bathroom. GOGIANTS!

I think I’ve walked by, driven by and run by this place thousands of times and never stopped in. Shame on me. During the Giant’s recent Opening Day, a friend and I walked over before the game and ordered a plate of breakfast. This place is so cute! There’s a small bar area inside off to the left with a handful of tables and a big screen on the wall. The ordering area is fairly small and a line forms rather quickly, but the wait is always worth it. On a nice day, I prefer the seating area outside that overlooks the marina with AT&T ballpark in the background. The food is yummmmy! I just had the eggs/bacon/toast/potatoes combo. So simple, yet so yummy.
