Invino

My first 5-​star rating to this tiny Haight district wine bar… Enjoyed a flight of volcanic mountain reds which brought us right back to recent trip to Sicily. Owner Claudio knows all about wines of Italy snd has ‘happy hour’ priced bites before 6 pm.

I discovered Invino via their sandwich board on 2^nd street. Intrigued I looked up their Web site and signed up for e-​mail notifications.
Well, I got a screaming deal on the Ulysses Valdez wines. Having visited UV’s tasting room in Cloverdale i knew that the wines were pricey, but Invino had them for about 50% off. I placed an order (no delivery charge for pickup in SF or Sonoma).
It does take a while to get your wine – I ordered on a Sunday and got my first shipment on a Friday. I was getting nervous.
To pick up you go downstairs into a room with makeshift desks. The staff is very accommodating and get your wine for you.
And that is that. I’ve placed three orders so far – the wines are great (do google prices as sometimes better deals can be found elsewhere on specific wines) and prices are pretty good.
Four stars only because it takes a week to get your wine. :-(

Invino is by far the best wine site out there, in terms of selection and price. I’ve been consistently thrilled with the quality of wines I have discovered from Invino and the price points have been outstanding. The site is clean visually and easy to navigate and has a great selection of domestic and imported wines that have great reviews both from the staff and experts and most importantly very reasonable $ 5 shipping offer (compared to others that gouge on shipping charges), this makes it easy to try new wines. Invino is like discovering great new wineries all over the world every day!

I stumbled on Invino as I saw their sign on the corner of Second and Howard. I made a purchase, waited anxiously and was truly amazed by the quality of the bottle of wine for the price. I now buy ALL of my wine through Invino. Their prices cannot be beat and the quality of the wines they offer is always top notch! If you are looking for hidden gems at great prices, or cellar worthy masterpieces, Invino is your best bet!

I’ve purchased wine 4 or 5 times from Invino and have always been delighted at not only the great quality of wines but the incredible prices I’ve paid for them. Invino offers me the opportunity to try those difficult to find wines and wines that I may find too expensive to buy at retail. I LOVE their warehouse sale! It is definitely worth watching for if you live locally. I highly recommend you give them a try. You can’t lose out because they guarantee your satisfaction with their wines!
