One of the most ethnically, culturally and socioeconomically diverse churches in SF! Come meet Filipinos, Chinese people, Latinos and others! Interact with students, world travelers, musicians, busboys or none of the above!
All of the volunteer staff are truly genuine, friendly and hospitable. They seriously expect nothing in return! It does feel like a family when everyone comes together to setup, eat together and talk, put everything away, etc. A lot of love and respect!
I also like that everyone is welcome regardless of belief (or lack thereof) to learn more about Jesus’ teachings. I don’t feel judged by not knowing enough or not having the right answers. In fact I’m learning a lot about how God is working in my life!
And lastly, their community engagement is the real deal. They don’t just talk about community. They live it, and love serving the Sunset District. I’ve seen interfaceSF people lead exercise workshops, wrap Christmas gifts, provide kids programs, etc.
