I’ve had the pleasure of being taught by Christian, of watching him perform, and best, of performing with him myself. I can attest to the fact that he is terrific in all of these contexts and more. Christian has thought deeply about improvisation, and it shows, both in his work and in his direction and teaching. I am, without a doubt, a better improvisor thanks to Christian’s input and example, and to the experience of playing with him on stage. I would highly recommend him as a coach, an improvisor and a director: you won’t be disappointed!

Christian is not just any ol’ improv teacher leading you through silly games. He teaches LONGFORM improv. You learn the skills of developing a story as you go, understanding how to be/not be the protagonist, how to raise the stakes, what are characteristics of different genres, how to pace a story from a 15 min — 2 hour show. These are classes for those who are interested in creating compelling theater, not just getting laughs. I highly recommend him!

I’ve worked with Christian for many years as an improvisor, actor, director, and improv coach, and I would recommend him highly in any of these roles. As a coach, Christian’s greatest asset is his flexibility — he takes all of his students into account when working on a particular skill, and works with everyone patiently until they«get» it. With his improv background, he truly understands the craft of acting, and thus is able to look at things in different ways, finding a teaching style that matches his students’ style of learning. Whether you’re getting a monologue ready for auditions, honing your craft, or dipping into the world of improv, Christian would be an excellent choice for a coach.
