All the toys are VERY old. Everything is from the 90s-early 2000s. The toys in the front of the shop are badly sunfaded. They are only open 2 hours a day. There is no way they ever sell anything here. Something about this shop tells me it’s a money laundering operation for the Triads.

This store is 24 years old. The woman is at least 65 years old. She’s the only employee. The store is about 400 square feet and you’ll be amazed of how much stuff can fit in there. The store is highly unorganized, the woman barely speaks english, and the toys are over priced. It’s okay. A lot of rare old collective items. Open from 10am-2pm

Ya like the other reviewer said this place seems trapped in time. The cardboard backing on the toys are yellow from age and collecting dust. But one thing has changed, they try to keep up with the pricing. A bit steep so I don’t remember buying anything here.

This store seems to be stuck in time, say ten years ago, when Star Wars Episode One came out. Their random & haphazardly-strewn merchandise are mostly from that time period, w/many of the packaging terribly sun-faded yet bearing original full suggested retail pricing or higher. I have no idea how they are able to generate enough to pay their rent, much less stay in business, unless they own the building & it doesn’t really matter. It’s a bit sad seeing the store though. The irony is in the store’s name, which translates from Chinese as «really heart opening/warming/pleasing». To top it off, they sell a generic knock-off of the Sony Aibo robot dog called«Lupus Jr.». Seriously. Lupus Jr., the lame robot dog. Get one for the kid you’re cursing. Santa’s Unilocaler sez: «Wish I could think of something encouraging about this shop, but am at a loss for words…»

There are a lot of random little tshotske shops along Taraval. I never know quite what I will find when I wander in. Today I wandered into this tiny toy store, just to see what kind of toys they had. I saw some Barbie and other stuff that doesn’t draw my attention, then I saw a mysterious box covered in bizarre cartoon characters and Mr Sparkle style lettering. Enchanted, I studied this strange artifact, with its bubbly, stylized katakana, and took a guess that this was a pachinko toy. You know: for kids! Okay, so, now I started to find the place interesting. Then I happened upon their selection of Star Wars /Lego /Animé toys. They don’t have a lot of stuff, but what they do have. .. I don’t go toy shopping so I don’t know, maybe multilingualism and Animé Legos are mainstream these days, but, man, I had a good time checking out the Star Wars Legos, and while I know nothing for Animé, I know my nephew digs Japan so I grabbed a couple of what I think are cool gifts. .. and some Legos for myself. :)
