Just a regular hot dog wrapped in bacon with some caramelized onions and sauce. Nothing really special about it besides the fact that they cook it off the street so the aroma just traps you into buying one. For $ 3, you couldn’t ask for more. However, cannot beat the Costco hot dogs!!!

This guy, this food, this cart… is just too good to be true! For a whopping $ 3 you get: — Sizzling BACON wrapped around a big, juicy HOTDOG Stacked with… — A delicious heap of perfectly cooked sweet onions, and bell peppers All being held by a… — Hot dog bun warmed up in the same juices as the Hot Dog(and lathered with the perfect amount of mayonnaise) Topped off with a… — Sizzling long, green hot pepper grilled to perfection(and drizzled with ketchup and mustard) Yup. It was that epic and delicious! I know around mission, especially around 6pm there’s a lot of Bacon-Hot Dog vendors out there but this guy is definitely the best. He cooks everything to perfection and is not afraid to dish out on extra onions and peppers! At one point two of my brothers and I dropped our hot peppers while eating(he gladly gave us 2 more and even gave us more napkins) … We even came back within the hour to grab two more before heading to the Farmer’s Market. This city street eat is definitely worth the price, so don’t be afraid to head down there with a corona and $ 3 in your hand to grab a delicious bite(with great service)!

Not nearly as drunk as I needed to be for this… skated by this place after having a few beers @ Southern Pacific Brewing, but I needed to be way more hammered for this to be a 5 star review. Ever since I heard about bacon-wrapped hotdogs in the mission, it has been a goal of mine to get my hands on one. It’s pretty much an institution right? After numerous attempts over the course of a year, I finally succeeded. Look for an unassuming cart right outside a van… when I arrived there was no line, but then again it was only 11:30PM on a Friday. The lady quoted me $ 4, but I only had $ 3, so I promised to pay her $ 5 next time I saw her. :) Within 1 minute of the monetary exchange, I had a piping hot dog in my hands, with all the fixins on top. The combination of bacon, hotdog, onions, jalapenos, and condiments was a match made in heaven. I scarfed it down on my way to BART on 24th. The whole experience from the moment I paid to the moment I took the last bite took maybe 4 minutes… but it was an amazing 4 minutes. A delicious rite of passage. I’m looking forward to the next time I try it, and will definitely drink more heavily in anticipation. I’m sure it’ll bump it up to a 5 star review!

OK, I have to admit I’d never eat food from a vendor what doesn’t have a health certificate on the window especially on gritty Mission Street. But this stand in front of the B of A is one of those micro enterprises that should get your attention. All I can say is WOW! Amazing for $ 3 with everything on it. The aroma waffles down the street often over-masking the usual Mission Street odors. Grilled onions — YES. Everything on it — YES. .. except the jalapenos please. Don’t want things to burn twice. I’ll support hard working folks and this guy is working out of his van. That’s great and creative. No health certificate? No problem. Had three dogs over the past three months and each time it is a great experience. Hot dogs with onions out of van? Why not. .. and thanks for the street treats!

I’ve had these amazing creations numerous times after stumbling out of «BAR» on a late night. Always delicious and I’ve never gotten sick etc… This little cart also turned two vegetarians I know into carnivores again!

These little puppies are the best food to stuff your face with after a drunken night downtown! I wish they had something similar in DTSJ, if they do let me in on a clue. i need to know! I’m not sure if this is the location I always find myself stumbling towards but I’m sure all the dirty dogs in SF are amazing. Be sure to get everything-and I mean EVERYTHING-on it! I just remember the last time my friends and I went to the Mission district, we come to one of these stands and I wasted 3 precious hot dogs! Patron did me good that night and it made my hot dogs want to fall off the bun. Sigh, never again will I drink patron for the fear that these hot dogs might commit suicide again because of me.

Not as popular as the one near 20th Street. The taste was not the same but was still really good! For $ 3 each( ), one can easily and quickly pre-coat their stomach before going to the Mission drinking places. Of course, it’s for post-drinking, but it’s also good for still-sober eating! This bacon-wrapped hot dog cart ) is parked in front of a BofA. Only one guy mans the cart, operating out of a van. Can’t really miss the van, but the awesome aroma will also lead you to it.

The bacon wrapped hotdogs topped off the night last night… this hot dog cart is amazing and they should have one on each corner after you get out of the club… They’re probably also like million calories. but shit who cares when they’re so GOOD!!!. mm I want some right now! Each hotdog is $ 3… you could probably make some yourself. but when you’re drunk. it’s the greatest thing ever!

Life is like a box of hot dogs, you never know how plump they’re gonna get. These hot dogs are beautiful works of art and should be worshipped. Wrapped in bacon goodness, yummy grilled onions sauteed in bacon/dog juices and mustard, ketchup and mayo. A little piece of heaven at 2 a.m. I’m going to start stalking the hot dog man.
