Fast service. Fun atmosphere. Great music. The bartenders are fantastic. The team that works together on Saturday nights is amazing. They do some crazy flare bartending tricks and are entertaining to watch. Is it Saturday yet?

What a joke of a bar! This place is NOT for a crowd that is looking for a good time. If you are a dead-beat gang-banger looking for a fight, please proceed. This past weekend we were celebrating a buddies birthday when out of nowhere my two friends were assaulted by a couple of drunk losers who can’t handle their liquor, while on the dance floor. There were 15 of us and witnesses saw the whole thing. We asked for the bouncers to call the cops but they kicked us out instead. Then the«bar manager» comes out to tell us that he has been doing this for years and doesn’t have to do anything and tells us to leave. When I get closer to him, the guys REEKS of alcohol and his eyes are pinned. I called him out on it in front of everyone and he started smirking with an embarrassed look. Maximum Productions, your place needs to get shut down ASAP! Your security is untrained/understaffed, your employees get trashed on the job and your management needs AA. I know if it was one of your bar guys assaulted, you’d have cops there in a heart beat. Instead, you let the cowards who jumped my friends run out the back door, basically making you an accomplice. You’re lucky none of the ladies with us got hurt due to your unprofessional operations otherwise you’d have some serious legal consequences your way. STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE! Pathetic!

I went here on a Friday night. This place would get 5 stars if it weren’t for the DJ. He would start playing awesome old skool hip hop, but as soon as you would get to the dance floor to dance, he’d change the song to something totally not dance worthy. Bummed me out every time so I just didn’t dance, which is the whole reason I came out! I’ll try it again, but if it’s the same story I’m not coming back.

I have to be honest, this place confuses me. Hi-Fi, are you a club? a dive bar? an exclusive lounge? I just can’t figure you out! We got there early enough to snag a booth… or was it a VIP table? Well I think we pretended it was. No bottle service though. womp womp. When the place started to fill up the music got louder but I’m still not sure what we were listening to. 90’s rap? 80’s classics? a little UNTZUNTZ mixed in here and there? Make up your mind Hi-Fi — I want to like you!

Customer service and security here is atrocious. I have now lost 2 items from this place, This past time, they went far beyond and escorted me out of the bar as if I were a trouble maker. I had my jacket and my keys stolen, and they still thought it was appropriate to just kick me out when I tried to ask them who I should talk to so I could get home and get some sleep. Terrible. All you who think this place is worth while, think again. Not worth the time or the hassle.

You know you had fun when you pay for a round of drinks then run off without your credit card because you want to get back on the dance floor. Personally I thought the $ 5 cover charge was worth it because it is a unique space and the music was great. But when I reached out to management about my lost credit card it was not handled very professionally. I tried calling the bar directly several times and kept getting the voicemail so I contacted the owner Max. He told me the bar is not allowed to keep leftover credit cards and to text message him my information so he can look into it. After 48 hours of no response I contacted him again and he said«We didn’t find it-but did check our records and it wasn’t used at HiFi.» My bank account statement of $ 40.00 says otherwise, so I wouldn’t really trust their«records».

I typically do not go out in SF. I live in the South Bay so you’ll see me roaming around downtown San Jose or bars/clubs nearby, but never SF. Unless if it’s the Grand or Ruby Skye or something. That being said, we stumbled upon Hi Fi after dinner on a Sat night. I believe there was a $ 5 cover, but I think the drinks were on the cheaper side to make up for the cover cost. I think my bf got 3 beers and a shot of Jameson for $ 23? Good looking crowd! The men here were tall and handsome, and the ladies were cuties! This is rare. SO rare in the bay area. Once again(if you read my other reviews I mention this all the time and I apologize in advance if it is annoying haha) I went to college in San Diego and people in Southern California are overall better looking(I think most people will agree with me). So if you’re feelin like you need some eye candy. come here! The atmosphere here reminds me of one of those Pacific Beach bars we used to frequent… Bartenders were friendly. They kept hooking my bf/guy friends up with free water bottles, redbulls, etc. which was nice!

While visiting from San Diego we stumbled upon this place. What a gem! We had been bar hoping and of course on a day that the 9ers are in a playoff game every bar/restaurant/pub/dive/family restaurant/home was packed with people trying to get good drinks and food to cheer on the home team! Well… sad to say the 9ers lost but the hometown peeps are tons of fun! We walked into this place and it was pretty empty. Turns out this place is usually closed on Sundays because it’s a lil lounge not a sports bar. Lucky for us they randomly open on a game days! The bartender was pretty awesome and got everyone pumped for the game. They passed out raffle tix and gave out ton of 49er gear! Wish we had a lil spot like this at home! We had an awesome Sunday Funday at the Hi-FI lounge! Thanks for the hospitality and we will be back!

**************************** REVIEW920 **************************** You either like Hi-Fi Lounge or you don’t, there isn’t anything in between. We came here with a group of friends, Hi-Fi was packed, music was popping, people were dancing! Next thing you know, my friends and I were dancing. Hi-Fi reminds me a disco place somehow! The bright painted walls, brighter lights than most places in the Marina. We came in around 11PM on a Friday night, but we were able to get a table to sit down. Drinks like a typical Marina place, but we got the drinks rather quick at the bar. The doorman was nice to us. I guess some of my friends are regular! When you’re having fun with your friends, time flies by quick! Believe it or not, I do see myself coming back here for a good time!

I went to Hi-Fi Lounge on St. Patty’s day, so my experience may not be typical. It is in the marina and so the clientele is what you would expect for that area. It was a younger crowd, but that is probably because it was St. Patty’s day. They were playing really good music and I can see how it would be really fun to dance at. It was a little on the smaller side though, so I would want to get there early to claim your stake. I didn’t have the friendliest of service from the bartenders, but I didn’t really expect it either: Knowing that it was St. Patty’s day, there were going to be large crowds of very drunk people, I wouldn’t expect the servers to be perky.

Came here once with couple friends on a Thursday night cause they had .99 cent deal on drinks(such as vodka mix with juice) between 8 pm to 9:30ish pm and play 90s music. Of course you can request a song from the DJ. No cover charge on the day i went Of course with .99 cent deal, this place can get crowded fast especially at the bar since the drinks are cheap and this place is extremely small. Makes it harder to get drinks when so many people are standing at the bar. And it was musty and hot in this small bar lounge place. I did get couple drinks, vodka with cranberry juice and vodka with pineapple juice. Pretty good. There’s a small dancing area for those who wants to dance. Mix of people in their 20s and 30s Since its in the Marina district, parking can be very difficult to find

Meh. I was here post-dinner with some friends, so early, and stayed til 12 or so when it became a total disaster of drunk girls falling down and terrible music. Too crowded to move and I had no need to go back when I left.

Came here on a Saturday night I think? It was the first and the last time I’ll do that. $ 5 cover to be in an over-crowded, over-heated, underwhelming bar. Lots of bros, lots of princess-types. The best part was by far the bartenders and bouncers, they were super chill. Music was okay, but I didn’t stick around long enough to get a solid sampling. Oh yeah, and they ran out of Jameson. Seriously? How can you run out of Jameson? Cliffs notes: Cramped bar that’s stupid hot inside with bros and princess-types all over the place; no Jameson. No thanks.

DJ who plays Friday nights, call me maybe? I want to book you for my events. Not that I would make a trip out to the Marina just to come here, but if I was in the area, I’d swing by Hi-Fi lounge. Dance flo’ in the back of the bar. DJ playing a good mix of electronica & top 40s. Good transition. Good going, DJ. My only no thank you is the $ 5 cover.

sometimes at the end of a long night of bar hopping you wander down a little too far down the street and end up having the time of your life: an all out dance party in the corner of the lounge to hip hop & top 40 being able to hang out and sit along the comfy bench seating in front of the club hanging up my jacket on a coat rack for free.99 multiple trips to the bar — I mean if the bartenders didn’t serve me so quickly I wouldn’t have gone back so many times for drinks… no coverage charge a clean bathroom!

This place is not my style… I went here for a friend’s birthday, and apparently no one I was going with had ever been to Hi-Fi… They all assumed that since I live in SF that I would know all about it! Ha. I’m never in the Marina… The drinks are affordable, but the crowd is pretty annoying. They’re what my boyfriend calls the«Woohooo!!» Crowd — they get drunk and yell… It’s also where a lot of college kids seem to go. I will give them credit for at least having ample seating, if only some peeps wouldn’t stand on the tables and chairs to dance. The music was only 30% pleasing to me, with the other 70% pretty boring. I tried to put on a happy face for my friend’s birthday, so I spent some time dancing, but someone just kept FARTING on the dance floor! And they were smelly farts that other people noticed too. After witnessing the dance floor nearly clearing out for the second time because of someone’s super fart bomb, I ended up sitting most of the time. Most of the birthday party I was with seemed to be having a good time, so I guess I wasn’t too much of a downer… And the birthday girl definitely had a fun night. I’m definitely not going back to Hi-Fi, since like I said, it’s not my style. Unless you’re into horrible dancers, boring music, and sloppy drunks, don’t come here.

I generally am not that high on a good number of bars around the Marina, but HI-Fi is one of the more acceptable places I would go to. They do charge a cover on some/most nights, but fortunately it’s only $ 5. But still, cover is still cover, so strike for that. The music is pretty decent… lots of popular/current songs, plus some random old ones thrown. Obviously though, depends on who’s spinning on any given night. Drinks are pretty decent and moderately priced… and they have a number of flavored kamikaze shots as well. Not sure if that’s something particularly unique about this place though; I only found out when my friend and I started doing rounds as her drink of choice. The whole place is a little narrow, so there’s a huge choke point in the middle, as people stop at the bar to grab a drink. On either side of the bulge, you’ll find yourself in the open area at the front, or on the dance floor in the back. The crowd itself is the usual sort of Marina crowd, but slightly better than the triangle bar area around the corner. But still, not a fan in general… but at least it’s(relatively) better for whatever that’s worth.
