I wanted so badly to like this place that after a disappointing experience, I tried it again, thankfully with better results. I was excited for lots of vegetarian(vegan) options with interesting ingredients. They don’t have hearty veg proteins like tofu, but there are decent protein options like beans, lentils, and grains. Service was fast and friendly. Both my salads(Moroccan Chick Pea and Farro) had good flavor but were so oily I felt like it undid any benefit of eating a supposedly healthy lunch. The Roasted Chicories sandwich was pretty bland and the bread super tough — hopefully they swap this out with a better option. On my second visit I was much happier with the Lentil Soup, Kale Salad(nice and tender), and Butter Bean Salad(slightly oily but not the disaster of my first visit). Note that you can get two half salads in one small container and it still counts as 1 item. Although the address is Mission St you need to go through the courtyard to the entrance on Minna.

Decidedly underwhelming. Staff was nice and food looks healthy but sandwich and salad are bland.

$ 7.07 for a cup of split pea soup?! Are you f’ing kidding me? It wasn’t even a bowl. It was a little larger than a chobani yogurt cup. The worst part is that it wasn’t even good. Over priced and underwhelming.

Super pleasant staff and nice location. Unfortunately, my first meal from here was very underwhelming, as I opted for some low carb options.(A delicious sans bread meal at lunch is always a challenge to find) Red bean soup was very watery and way over salted. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Mint pomegranate cabbage salad was somewhat refreshing but a bit too tart. Kale salad with pine nuts was a bit bland. I’m sure if I returned for a sandwich Id have a much better experience as the menu looked great in that department. But if you are trying to cut back on your carbs around lunchtime, Hey Day may not be the spot.

This place is built for speed. If you want a healthy lunch that is not a salad, you go here. Plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian options. There are meat and fish options as well. The menu will change from week to week so its cool, there is some variety. Moroccan chick pea salad is my favorite.

Just had a small team lunch here at Heyday. I had the grass-fed beef and rainbow salmon sandwiches for $ 11. I thought this to be a good enough portion to keep me full until dinner time. The grass-fed beef sammy was a lot better than the salmmy(is that even a word?) maybe due to the fact that the slice of bread was extremely crunch on the salmon. The beef sammy was definitely satisfying to eat though, but lay the seasoning on the onions off a little bit! The venue is rather small, but there are some tables in addition to outside seating. It’s a great and healthy spot that can be a seated lunch or a satisfying grab n go!

Heyday is a great place to grab something good, healthy and fast for breakfast or lunch in the Financial District. Don’t be intimidated if there is a lunch line as it goes very quickly. They’re very efficient. It’s also a great catering option for work meetings in the morning or afternoon. They deliver for a reasonable fee and they have a diverse selection of unique items that will satisfy a vast array of people and their dietary restrictions. We’ve had Heyday cater lunch for past work meetings and the spread is always lovely. Their salads, sandwiches and cookies are beautiful and fresh. People are always impressed with the creative ingredients and love the Acme bread used for the sandwiches. The customer service is also outstanding. If you have any questions or concerns the staff is very knowledgeable of what they are serving you and gives you the option to taste the salads before ordering. Heyday has become my favorite and main«go to» place for lunch in the Financial District! It is truly a welcomed addition to 555 Mission St.

Ingredients may be organic but sandwiches are tiny and expensive. Soup was cold. $ 11 for a cold soup and a third of a sandwich. Makes mint greens look like a bargain. Unlikely to ever go back again especially given all the different choices around.

I am very into this new lunch spot! While the space is large, it’s a little spartan and there aren’t a ton of spaces to sit. Frankly, I think the food service space in the center is overly large… in fact, yesterday they were serving solely out of one side and today they were serving solely out of the other side. However, the food is great if you’re just looking for something quick to go. I’m a BIG fan of their cauliflower sandwich. The pesto and pecorino cheese slices really make it special. The kale salad is also very good and very well-dressed. Not too much, not too little. Their chocolate chip walnut cookie is also awesome — I was expecting it to be a blah health cookie based on its appearance, but it’s actually warm and dense and chewy. Yum! The prices are also decent. The aforementioned sandwich was under $ 7, which is about on par with Subway. Overall, this is a great addition to the area!

This is my first time trying this place, as i work upstairs and have been watching their progress upon opening. I’m «green»(no pun intended) when it comes to organic food so I wasn’t sure on what to order but ended up leaving with a delicious 3 item combo! Broccoli Cabbage Salad w/Pomegranate Seeds & Mint — The taste is very refreshing and delicious! A colorful dish and the serving is larger than it first seems. Smoked Rainbow Trout Sandwich w/Crushed Butter Beans on Wheat Toast — omg i wish i would’ve gotten two of these! The trout was tastefully smoked(no fishy taste) and the radish was complimenting. Green Lentil w/Squash Soup — If it weren’t for me standing there when they brought the fresh pot out i would’ve missed out on this delectable soup. And it was pouring rain outside so it was perfect! Flavorful, full of good stuff, i was scraping the bowl when i was done. For service, presentation and quality i’d give this place 10 stars! And im going back for lunch again today!!!

I read about the opening yesterday and decided to give it a try. I work adjacent to this building so I was excited to have a new option in my lunch rotation. The staff was super friendly – offered sampling of their salads… Everything in the case looked fresh, healthy and delicious! The chickpea salad was delicious but I ended up with the trout sandwich and a cup of split pea soup. The trout sandwich was sooo good! Free of Mayo and not fishy at all. The split pea soup just as good– perfect in texture and flavor, and serviced piping hot! I am a FAN! Count me in as a regular!

Welcome to 555 Mission, Heyday! I work in the building and have been eagerly(read: stalking-ly) waiting for this lunch place to open so I can literally grab lunch in mere seconds. And since they opened their doors today, I was among the many who peaked in and sampled what they had to offer. Here’s how this works: Choose parts of your meal from a beautiful and appetizing glass display of dishes. Easy and simple pricing: 1 selection: $ 6.5 2 selections: $ 11 3 selections: $ 16 They are very friendly and generous and allow you to taste all items before committing to them. The food is organic, made from scratch and skews healthy and wholesome – a perfect combination. I got the cauliflower sandwich with sides of kale/avocado salad and chickpea salad. All items were very fresh and packed with flavor. The variety here is what will keep me coming. Well that, and the glass display of goodies that I see every time I walk into the office. — Distinguishing factor: An upscale cafeteria tailored to the SF trends of fresh organic food.
