Hearty Café

I can’t believe there aren’t any reviews for this place yet — it’s a great option for SF General staff or people who live nearby. It’s run by a really nice chef who is from the neighborhood — he makes consistently fresh, delicious (and healthy!) salads, sandwiches, burgers and rice bowls. My favorites are the pulled chicken BBQ rice bowl (pictured on this site — comes with baby spinach, sweet potato chunks, carmelized onions and brown rice) and the grilled salmon Niçoise salad– both are $ 8, very tasty and filling and wait time is minimal. Try it — you won’t be disappointed.
