Harvest Christian Bookstore

It is such a great place to stop and chat with Margaret and her team! They have some of the coolest stuff for some of my friends that seek more than the internet can provide you!
I go there for updates on what is happening in the San Francisco Bay Area Christian scene.
I not only value and appreciate the things that they offer but I really want to support the small business person that not only cares for their customers but provides a real source of value in prayer, support and updating on what is going on in the Christian scene.
This place is one of those places that if you are seeking advice and seeking God, you will be pointed in the right direction!
I have examples where my buddies or myself went through some tough times and I was able to find a good book, card, gift and personal comfort to overcome whatever the adversity that we went through right at Harvest Christian Bookstore!
Margaret is one of the smartest persons I know and if you quiz her on anything from Bible knowledge to «I love Lucy,» she can’t be stumped! Go ahead, Ask her a question about I Love Lucy and she will not only give you the episode, she will also fill in the rest of the story line for you.
Every time I see her at the shop, I think to myself: «Vitameatavegamen!»

This bookstore has been around since as long as I can remember! The owner is a closes family friend. I remember going here as a kid and it was like the best library ever. And after he remodel this past year, the store looks fancy and modern!
Anyway, this is the ONLY (seriously) Christian bookstore in San Francisco. You can get anything you could ever imagine here. Books, Christian poster, Christian artwork, bible verse cards, bible verse key chains, etc. Almost anything you can think of, they have it! It’s a great place to buy gifts. Whether it be for birthday or needed some encouragement during rough times. You can also get things engraved here too! Bibles, leather journals, braclets, etc.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They’re more helpful than a Google search (and nicer too). If you don’t know what you want, ask them! They’ll help you find the perfect thing! For example, my sister came here to find something for me when I moved away to college. The staff recommend a book called «thriving in college» and a journal with encouraging memory verses on each page. Which was seriously a perfect gift for a college student adjusting to so many transitions!
Yes, it might be cheaper on Amazon but seriously you really need to support this store. Pay the few extra dollars so this store can continue to be a witness! It’s not easy keeping a Christian bookstore open in such a liberal city like San Francisco.
And last but not least… you should also support this store because you never know who you’ll run into here! Maybe you’ll meet someone who is going through the same thing as you and you can give them some encouragement from the bible or pray with/​for them. Or maybe you need someone to encourage and pray for you through a rough time. The staff would be more than happy to serve you in that way! It truly is a family environment here, no matter who you are!

i had a chance to visit today, and was super happy they were open for business after their remodel. it’s absolutely charming and lots of great inventory: jewelry, books, dvds, cds, apparel, and other gifts. chit chatted with margaret, owner, and she told me how God really does provide all that you ever need. He is always good! praise God! i absolutely love my new stainless steel dagger necklace with philippians 4:13 engraved on it. what a gem for sure!

What a GEM!!! A Christian book store right here in San Francisco. AWESOME!!! Great products, selections, and sales. Plus the workers are very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit!!!

Great selection of bibles, books, Chinese language literature, music, and kids section. I also love browsing the little gifts and get my baby cousins and friends gifts from here. You could spend a long time here if you aren’t in a rush but if you know what you want and they don’t have it in stock, be sure to place an order and check back in a few days. This Christian bookstore is a gem in the Sunset and needs all the support in light of fierce competition for online bookstores!

I’ve been looking for a Christian bookstore in San Francisco. The staff is very friendly and I was able to find a gift for my friend there. The books seemed to be carefully selected because their inventory is wonderful. They have Bibles, books, tons of Christian music and movies, Christian greeting cards etc.

One of the very few Christian Bookstores in San Francisco. Great location! Easy to get too! Great selection of books (Well duh its a bookstore!) Staff is SUPER FRIENDLY, I love them. Great small cozy place to pick up a few gifts or buy yourself a new bible. And they also customize your bible (you can put your name on it and everything, really cool!) Definitely check this place out!

Friendly Staff. Great Selection. Anything you can’t find that didn’t fit in the storefront can be ordered (if available) for no extra fee.
CDs are available to preview the latest in Christian worship, pop, rock, hiphop music.
DVDs are available for churches to purchase and rent.
Good location, right in the heart of the Sunset District.
I wish there were more Christian bookstores in San Francisco. But this one rocks! They even custom-​imprint Bibles!
