First time here my 33 years in SF. Left almost immediately as it quickly became apparent it lives up to its reputation of douche central.

This place is great for all. If you just need to relax and have a cocktail, meet friends, watch sports or just to let your hair down. Then, this is the spot for you!

Imagine looking for a place to sit down and have a quick beer(and maybe a shot of something alongside your suds). You walk through the neighborhood, passing swanky shops and restaurants and thinking to yourself, «I don’t have time for fluff, I just want a quick brew of decent quality in a place that feels like home» Harry’s bar is that place. Settled in the heart of «high end», this is a place to settle in on your beverage of choice. The people are nice. Bartenders aren’t grumpy and there aren’t a bunch of tv’s blaring away destroying the atmosphere. So yeah, want pretense and 16 dollar craft cocktails? Go somewhere else. This is simply a bar and a nice one at that.

All in all Harry’s is a fun local spot to grab a beer and watch a game. I have to admit though I was a bit disappointed my last visit with a few clients, not so much from the experience yet what transpired after. Honest mistakes happen I get it, yet I noticed that my receipt differed from the transaction that hit my AMX. No big deal, the tip was just adjusted from $ 16 to $ 26. I have awful handwriting so perhaps they confused the numbers and thought I left them a 40% tip. Either way I called the bar just to let them know a mistake had been made, really expecting nothing. When I spoke to the manager though she got all defensive saying«there’s nothing she can do and it is what it is.» Again I get mistakes happen and the money really wasn’t the point at all. Their reaction and lack to even hear me out was disappointing and frankly just rude. Too many bars in SF to get caught up on it but just sucks when you feel like people could care less about the consumer.

I was thinking of not rating Harry’s because I actually want everyone to stay away from it. Harry’s is an amazing spot! It’s where I started dating my boyfriend. Where the cocktails are actually drinkable. Where the TV’s are not on all the freaking time. Where the fries are delicious. I love everything about Harry’s. No wonder it’s my favorite bar in town.

My Favorite Bar in all of San Francisco! Super nice staff and just an overall atmosphere that is fun. Easy to meet people every time you go in and a GREAT place to watch ballgames from World Cup Soccer to NBA Finals… always a good time. Decent beer selection and constantly changing cocktail menu. The food is not cheap but good quality. …doesn’t matter because you go to Harry’s for the atmosphere anyway. I went there three years in a row on Christmas Eve when living in SF. This bar is very dear to me.

Relaxed bar with decent priced drinks. Fun and young crowd. Reuben egg rolls are the best food invention ever and you must get them. Greyhound cocktails were also delicious!

I recommend coming here on Saturdays and get waited on by Aleshia(sp). She was AMAZING! Very pleasant and attentive. Don’t bother going to Roam Burger. Harry’s burger is arguably the best burger. For $ 10 it’s the best value and bang for your buck in all SF. I love delicious affordable meals, because I can TIP my waitress more $$$. My only complaint is that Harry’s doesn’t serve lunch during the week. This means I’ll have to settle for lesser quality food.

Nice place to watch games. They have 6 screens(or more). Ohh, and I LOVE the truffle fries! They are delicious.

An old, dependable favorite. They change it around every few years but the core is still solid. Avoid the meat market nights and don’t bother with the food menu.

Stopped by this joint for a drink two weeks ago with a friend in town — we thought the Christmas decorations were so cute and the vibe was exactly what we were going for… nice, but low-key. The drinks were very good although kind of expensive. However good enough that my fiancé and I went back last weekend to watch the Patriots game with some friends who live in that area. We got there as it opened(10am) and had great seats to watch the game. I was very happy with the brunch food we ordered — Cajun bloody mary, fried egg sandwich, and the deviled eggs were super good! I was disappointed to hear they got rid of the crab cakes benedict, as i would’ve loved to try that. As the game went on it became harder to get drinks but overall very solid service — aside from the timing, all of the servers and employees were super nice and friendly. I will definitely go back to watch Patriots games here!

If you’re over 21 in SF, then you’ve surely been to Harry’s. The best spot for a drink & a day or night out w your peeps on Fillmore for sure. Especially to watch a game. Harry’s is a great merger of a sports bar & a cocktail bar. The thing is, it gets pretty crazy on Friday & Saturday nights. As in, standing room only, loud, & cramped. When there’s a DJ, you can forget about trying to talk w anyone… until you leave. I will always think of truffle parmesan french fries when I think of Harry’s. They were doing them here before they started doing them everywhere else in town. I remember ordering them here in 2006! And sliders. I think of the sliders. The food is definitely solid. Nothing fancy, but the menu more than amply does the job of fueling your beer or cocktail agenda. The specialty drinks, written on the mirror behind the bar, aren’t cheap. Average price being 10 to 12 bucks. So, best to do happy hour. 3& ½ stars.

Stopped by my favorite bottomless bellini place in the city and come to find out they changed the menu and dropped the whole reason I came here! The food is good and consistent in quality price point is really just San Francisco norm. But the whole reason I made this my Sunday stop was to drink. I do refuse to pay 11 $ for a champagne flute. I’m sorry to say I won’t be back to Harrys but I’ll definitely remember the good times I had there!

Not a bad little place to stop on Thanksgiving night. Had a ton of TVs with the late game on and the fried chicken sandwich I had was quite delicious. Only thing holding it back was a subpar beer selection(gotta have more on tap) and lack of inclusion of side with the sandwich. $ 4 extra for fries or salad is crazy! Really more like 3.5 stars but not quite willing to bump them up to 4. Good vibe, good food, crappy selection. Harry’s is a nice place to stop by if you are in a pinch.

After hitting up Roam burger, my friend took us to Harry’s as one of the only places to get a drink in Pacific Heights. Doable if you are in the area, but definitely not worth going out of the way for. The bar is split into two sections — the bar, and the seating area for the restaurant. The ambiance is like a cramped BJ’s brewpub but without the beer selection. Also the craft cocktail selection isn’t really impressive. On the menu and behind the bar is the list of the 11 featured cocktails, and they can’t deviate a lot from that. Asking if they could make something special, I was told they were missing apricot liquor and a few other ingredients. Old Fashioned, Manhattan’s and mules they can do, but nothing really unique. On a Friday night the place gets pretty packed. It wasn’t a bad crowd, but I’d prefer a dive bar or a real craft cocktail bar. As I said, this really feels like the only option in the area, and they can get away with being middle of the road.

Gave Harry’s another shot since they changed their brunch menu and my boyfriend is a die hard Sunday football guy. Brunch menu is slightly more upscale but options are limited. No regular Benedict? A burger with an egg, cheese, and side salad came to $ 17…definitely pricey for a bar burger, not worth it at all. Avocado toast was good but weird if you just get that. Put an egg on it or something. Overall Harry’s is still what it simply is– bar that you go to just to watch games and eat whatever it is they have to offer.

With Ashley A at the helm, Harry’s has really stepped up their game. New food menu, new cocktails, and new attitudes. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The new burger was hands down one of best burgers I have had in the city. The cocktail menu looks amazing. I had the Knob Creek boulevardier and it was delicious. See a lot of good things happening here. I’ll be back

This review really encompasses 2 visits. I have been a Harry’s fan for a few years now, and for a while, the food has been a bit lackluster. That is until recently. I was in to have a drink and watch the game, and one of the bartenders/manager, Ashley, told me how they made some changes to the kitchen and menu. I went for something basic, the burger. It was anything but basic. The burger was fresh, juicy, cooked to perfection, and extremely delicious. I also tried one of the new cocktails, Mai Tai. This is not your classic Trader Vic’s recipe, nor was it the variation that is filled with syrup, juices, and sugar. It was a refreshing take on the classic, but with some additional pomegranate float. Tie in a Giants victory, and this was a great experience. Ashley told me that I need to come back for brunch, so I did. Jessi was behind the bar during my visit, and was a hoot she was. I am not normally a fruit pancake guy, but I was sold on the banana pancakes. The simple description for this dish was full of flavor and delicious. I was also talked into the Elderflower Bubbly Cocktail, because who doesn’t love bubbles at brunch. Another great suggestion. I am happy Harry’s stepped up their game, and made the changes. The food, the drinks, the service and staff, have made me a confirmed repeat customer for a long time and many more visits to come.

I am so elated that they updated the menu. For a neighborhood like this, restaurants really need to provide delicious, quality food. Harry’s is FINALLY doing that. I eat out 7 nights a week, and Harry’s is now one of my favorites. Everything I’ve eaten is amazing! The cocktail program is very strong too! Love all the drinks on the new menu. As a business, you need to constantly keep up with the times and Harry’s is doing a great job! I will be sure to bring all of my friends here and will help spread the word! Thanks guys! :D

Wow Harry’s I’m impressed! Way to step up your game. Your Sysco based menu from the past has disappeared. I haven’t had anything to eat here for about a year because of a lovely grey burger I had during the playoffs last season. Today I went in against my will with low expectations. Went to grab a beer and split… But hold up we changed our menu did we? I had some amazing take on chips and dip. so smart. Yet so simple… Then we split the burger. A burger that was actual real meat. Juicy, fresh and perfectly cooked. I ordered a few drinks as well and stayed for more then the 20 minute drop in I originally planned. Bravo I think I just found my new Sunday football spot!

Grabbed a drink here before dinner the other night and it was a great choice. Great atmosphere, lots of people, SUCH a good drink. My friends and I sat at the bar and ordered the gin featured cocktail(can’t remember what it was called but it was boxed off on the top of the menu — obviously their recommended drink). it was really great. gin is my favorite so i love finding solid gin drinks. Once we moved to a table, a server approached us but then she did not come back for awhile after that so we were ready to leave and couldn’t find her anywhere. We weren’t really in a rush so it didn’t bother us but that’s the only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5. I would definitely recommend this place for a drinks — i’m sure the food is great too.

Stopped by Harry’s to try the new menu that recently started. While I went in for brunch, I was able to try a couple of things off of the dinner menu as well… and I am glad I did! From the brunch menu you can’t miss the Smoked Trout Toast. The amazing salty spread is topped with pickled onions and radish, great way to start off your brunch. You should probably get two, cause you will want just one more bite! I would also not pass up the biscuits and gravy! Yes, you will leave stuffed, but seriously the sausage and sage in the gravy is totally worth the miles you will need to walk-off breakfast. From the dinner menu you MUST have the chicken wings. Honestly, duck-fat confit chicken wings! So good! The wings are fall of the bone, crunchy, spicy, salty, all in one bite. If you want to indulge a bit more, order up some Burrata Fritters, basically the best fried cheese you will eat. The prices were great, good place to share a few bites and have a beer.

Went here last night with some friends to watch the warriors game: Atmosphere: Fun! Everyone was clearly there to watch sports, and the bar has multiple TVs which is nice. They were simultaneously playing the Giants and Warriors game. It was pretty crowded, but we got there early to snag a table(they don’t take reservations). We had to get there at 5:30 to get a table for 5 when the game started at 6. Food: Kind of upscale– dinery food. Got the club chicken wrap with fries. I was a little hesitant about the blue cheese, but you couldn’t taste it that much and it was pretty delicious. The fries were also so good, but I always love fries. My friend and I split it and it was the perfect amount of food. Drinks: We got a bottle of cabernet, and ordered it during happy hour so it was half off ! Pretty good wine. Overall: Super fun, I would definitely come here again for a sports game.

Met up here with some friends for brunch. I had the egg sandwich and my partner had the eggs benedict. We also had a lot of drinks. I was working my way down the Bloody Mary list. The food is fairly diner-y. Nothing special, but it’s cheap, so I guess that’s a plus. The Bloody Bull was pretty delicious as Bloody Marys go, and the bacon in it was a nice touch. The rest of the Bloody Marys weren’t as nice though, and I wasn’t too impressed with my partner’s cocktails. The unlimited bellinis our friends were drinking also didn’t look very impressive. Not sure I’d come back unless it was organized by friends again. There are just so many places you can go for better breakfast in the city.

Ugh, this just wasn’t my scene. At night it was very crowded and noisy, awful service, and overpriced. Seemed to be filled with people who spend a lot of time and energy on «going out» for the night, so if you’re looking for a place like that, this might be it. The waitress told us we had to stand in a corner because they were so full, and that she’d be back. It took her a very, very long time to come back and again to bring our drinks, all while huddled in a little corner. Our bill was outrageous, even for San Francisco standards, so we paid and got out of there.
