Yummy yummy yummy the best deal in town by far. I was at Nordstrom’s shopping and crossed the street going from Market to Mission street. Starved, I peaked in the door of this little spice of Louisiana heaven thinking it was a bit of a dive at first. To my amazement I had the best 3 pieces of excellent slightly spicy chicken served with hot thick cut old fashion French fries. Each were cooked to perfection and served with a soda for $ 9.39. The price beats the fast food joints like Carl’s Junior 12.58 for a chicken sandwich combo. Crazy good, fresh and not processed fast food. Wow, I hate to give them such a great review as others will storm the place for the perfection I found but the owners deserve success. Quality and Value breeds success, well I found it in Mid Town San Francisco in crispy chicken! Martin Christopher Edwards San Francisco, Napa and Puerto Vallarta

Looks like the entire kitchen staff flaked and no showed on a staurday. There is nothing but stale donuts and cold sandwiches(from yesterday’s prep?) from the girl taking the money. Not a chance.

This place is great. We always go for sandwiches. I haven’t tried the chicken yet, but from what I have heard it is great. It sure does look great. Everything is fresh. You get sandwich combos, that come with chips and potato salad. Potato salad I will pass on, but my manager LOVES their potato salad. I enjoy the service too. You can pick up your cigarettes, coffee, lotto tickets, and lighters her. Only getting 4 stars because they could’t toast my sandwich. :(

This Louisiana Fried Chicken/Happy Donuts is a no frills dinning spot. I would usually come and get some fried chicken to go since it usually gets pretty stuffy inside. I can’t say much about the donuts but the chicken is surprisingly good, juicy and fresh! The batter is a tad bit on the salty side but it is heavenly when paired with waffles or biscuits. The price is pretty great for the area too! I would recommend getting a #5 combo if you are looking for something for 2. It cost $ 15 and comes with 2 biscuits or a waffle & potato salad(which isnt very good– its more on the sauerkraut side), 2 chicken breasts, 2 thighs, and 2 wings. Another recommendation: if you like heat, bring your own tabasco/hot sauce! The one they have there isn’t too great. They also have ketchup and some sweet bbq sauce if you’re not into spicy.

The best thing is that this place is open 24⁄7 and is one of the only places where you can get donuts and sandwiches late at night around the AT&T park area. Unfortunately, they don’t serve the fried chicken this late but make up with it in the variety of donuts(starting at $ 1.20), cinnamon rolls($ 2.20), sugar twists(~$ 2) and the huge variety of baked goods. I had the cinnamon roll and it tasted pretty fresh and sweet, but not over sweet which is what most places do wrong I think(or I just don’t prefer). They have a large variety of sandwiches and the prices are pretty cheap for them(They start at $ 6.90) and they make them really fast. Whenever I want to go out for a late night snack, this will be my go to place because they have sweet and salty foods all the time!

Nothing fancy but Happy Donuts is a great place for a cheat day lunch and take out some fried chicken and eat it by the ballpark. It’s fast food fried chicken but it’s oddly satisfying especially when paired with some mac and cheese… Not the fancy kind but the valveeta variety. It’s refreshing that it’s so unadulteratedly simple. Sandwiches and burgers round up the lunch menu but yes, there are also donuts. For less than $ 10, it’s nice to know there’s a spot to just dig in to some cheap comfort food and take a break from overpriced salads. Plus the view 5 mins away can be tough to beat.

SBC Pizza was closed, so we stopped in here for lunch last week, and I have been back twice since. Awesome food. The fried chicken is spicy, hot and crispy. The burgers are phenomenal. Good food, including the fries and dirty rice. Friendly staff. A new favorite. Parking on 3rd Street is iffy. Prices are soso.

This is one of the only food places opened past midnight, I am so glad this place exists. My friends and I were just roaming around SOMA around 1am and were very hungry. This place came to the rescue. At 1am, they still served their custom sandwiches where you can pick the type of bread, meat and whatever toppings you want in it. They also served sweet pastries like donuts and muffins. I had an éclair and it was alright, you can tell it wasn’t the highest qualty out there and it was kind of pricy. An éclair from Safeway is cheaper and better. The sandwiches were great though. Customizable, large portions and just a little more expensive than a Safeway sandwich. The fact that this place opens till very late wins it for me.

Great fried chicken whoever said its bland is crazy. Its spicy and packed with flavor and juicy! Perfect meal to take into the park with you or eat after the game if you are hungry. Not impressed with the sides though I had potato salad and cole slaw and barely ate any since they were not very appetizing, will try other ones next time.

Convenient place directly across from the ballpark for a quick, relatively cheaper bite. Average chicken and waffles. Chicken was rather bland and didn’t have much flavor. Was fairly juicy and tender in texture, but really could have used seasoning. I drowned mine in Crystal hot sauce. Waffle was dense and a bit dry. Was lacking some much needed fluffiness. The side of potato salad included was good, but overall meal experience was just alright.

This place is right across the street from the ballpark and completely worth the trip. The chicken is a mildly spicy cajun style crispy and juicy with a good amount of bite. It comes with a biscuit that beats anything you can get from any chicken chain hands-down. I had dirty rice(not so good) and mashed potatoes with gravy that was really good. You can get it with a waffle instead of you want too… SO good! My friend has the Angus burger and she said it was amazing, so all in all of you are coming down to the ballpark you HAVE to give this place a try. Great meal for $ 10 bucks AND you can take it with you into the game if you like.

It’s amazing that the San Francisco Giant’s allows their fans to bring food from the outside. [Hello Golden State Warriors, you should follow the Giant’s lead!]. Before every Giant’s game I get my fried chicken fix. Don’t get me wrong, the Giant’s actually have very good food, although a little pricey. This fried chicken is the best and everything is reasonably priced. The reason I don’t give the place five stars is because the sides are not as good, although I’m a fan of their mac and cheese and coleslaw.

I always walk by this place when I go to a Giants game. Finally, my fiancé and I decided to try this place a few months back during a game and once more at our last game. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. I’m a big fan of their seasoning. It’s simple. Their mac and cheese and potato salad is on point. During the last visit, my fiancé and I shared the champion meal with a waffle. Nice, perfect, buttered waffle. It hit the spot. The fiancé likes the dirty rice, I’ve never bothered trying. Biscuits are ok. They are fluffy. We’ve also had some donuts… because we are pigs. They were ok. All in all, nice little place to grab food for the game. Beats a $ 10 hot dog in the park.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place. Some friends and I were going to the Giants game and weren’t sure where we could actually go for a quick bite before the game. This place was literally right across the stadium and looked pretty cheap, so we decided to go. The place seems quite sketch — ticket scalpers all over the place harassing you outside, it’s pretty beaten and run down, the restroom didn’t have toilet paper or anything when I went in. but damn, they make some pretty good fried chicken. I got the combo with the thigh and the leg with mac and cheese and coleslaw as sides. Pretty good. The sides were really mediocre but the fried chicken and biscuits themselves were pretty delicious. It’s not gourmet like you’d get from Farmerbrown’s or Brenda’s French Soul Food per say, but it’s cheap, pretty well fried, and I was actually pretty surprised at how tender the leg meat is – more tender than what I’ve experienced at Farmerbrown so I was pretty pleasantly surprised. Sides were really grim though. Price was cheap! Only $ 8.75 for dinner! Where in the world can you find that? They also have fried chicken and waffles. mmm. tldr; great place for a quick bite and pretty darn good fried chicken at a great price

Very tender chicken with excellent breading. The waffle has good texture. Service is fast. Location is pretty convenient. I like both the syrup and the honey BBQ sauce.

One of the best donuts I have ever had. And I know donuts. Popped in for lunch on a Thursday and had fast service. I ordered the Stolen Base. Chicken was juicy n tender with good flavor. The Mac n cheese was alright, same with the mashed potatoes. Highly recommend coming to this place. Right across the street from AT&T Park.

I was craving a chocolate French donut pastry and this was the first place that caught my eye as we walked by at 930pm. I remember this Happy Donuts and I remember it being really empty and a bit creepy looking. I was happy to have stumbled upon it finally to give their pastries a try. I had the choco French as I had mentioned and I felt like it was really bland. The donut was super oily and unflavored. Even the chocolate wasn’t cooperating. I was pretty disappointed. My friend just took 2 bites of hers and she said she was done. I wanted to use the restroom and the owner said it was too dark inside so I couldn’t use it. She let me wash my hands though… how nice of her.

Don’t let the scary homeless folks outside dismay you. This is the best place for fried chicken that’s easy on your wallet. Right across from stadium, so pick some up for the game. I had 6 hungry guests at home so I got a takeout order of four CHAMPIONS(champion is 6 pieces of chicken 2 sides, and a biscuit) and the total came out to $ 55. They even take Amex. The sides I chose were MASHEDPOTATOES, MAC N CHEESE, COLESLAW, FRIES, and corn(don’t get the corn it sucks)

Just a little bit sad after coming here around the time they opened to come for their chicken and waffles and it wasn’t available! They said it would be available at least after 11am if they were lucky. So sad. We left to get breakfast somewhere else but came back for dinner time since we were still in the area. They had the chicken and waffles meal but had no other sides! Couldn’t get anything else besides potato salad. I was a little frustrated because I can only have a small bite or two of it. Also, for a place that isn’t all that busy, they should try to take car of the tables more often. Wiping them down, pushing in chairs, etc. The lady seemed to caught up on her phone to even care that there were flies flying around. Also as I was leaving the bathroom, I noticed that the donuts and pastries were NOT in an enclosed case! So dust, dirt, and bugs can definitely land on your donut! Won’t ever be eating those. Kind of disappointed since I gave them a five star review last time.

Louisiana Fried Chicken serves reasonably priced food, especially if one were to consider their proximity to AT&T Park(i.e. prime location which I am sure comes with a hefty price tag). They have fried chicken, Louisiana staples such as catfish, gumbo and Cajun rice, sandwiches, and donuts. The service is perfunctory and no-nonsense. We ordered The Champion(which comes with 6 pieces) to split. It came with a biscuit(which was pretty good), mac-and-cheese(which tasted no better than the Kraft variety), and potato salad(which was delicious). The fried chicken was nothing extraordinary but not terrible.(Popeyes is way better but there is not a Popeyes around and it is relatively cheap eats.) However, I could see myself going back here in the future because of the rotation of characters that we encountered during our visit — scalpers discussing The Giants a little too animatedly to the displeasure of the proprietress, old Asian guys having an intense card game, colorful Giants fans. Come for cheap alright food but stay to people watch.
