I LOVE this place. Everyone is so nice and the doughnuts are fresh! One day I came here and I was a $ 1.50 short and they let me go! It was for my mom and I was very grateful. I came back that same day and gave them the $ 2.00 because when you are treated with respect it’s important to not take that for granted. I currently live in Pennsylvania and I can honestly say that the doughnuts here can’t be replaced.

Stop by here to get a salami sandwich for lunch but went in and tried to order one the lady who works behind the counter inform that they no longer have the salami sandwich. They couldn’t even bother to take the sign down in the first place.

I’ve loved donuts for as long as I can remember and have tried them all over the place. The donuts here at Happy Donuts in Bayview are some of the best I’ve had. They’re as good as anywhere, including more fancy places like Voodoo Donuts in Portland or Top Pot in Seattle. Love that it’s a family owned and operated place too, and all the members of the family are super nice and helpful. If only man could live on donuts alone.

Excellent donuts. I am not a fan of Krispy Kreme or any of the new fancy donut places. I just want a good old fried glazed raised donut. Happy Donuts is not fancy but they serve amazing donuts.

Old school place, but done right. Never had a bad donut here, and the people who work here are so nice! I tried the breakfast sandwiches the other day and was pleasantly surprised.

I love their kind patience fast service the only complaint is their croissant sandwich too crisps, kept on having crumbs on my hands plus sauce dripping on to the plate from my sandwich. They may over cooked the bread, at least colorful doughnut there not only they are pretty very delicious.

Great place for donuts, I love the mom and pop style taste of the donuts. I’ve always preferred this style over Krispy Cream, Krispy Cream is a bit too airy and sweet. The staff are very friendly and the place is clean. Plenty of tables, there are no outdoor tables for the perfect weather in this neighborhood. I can imagine it would cost a fortune to even do that since the largest part of the sidewalk is on the side of the building. Awesome place to grab breakfast or donuts.

I’ve been here a couple of times. Donuts are huge and not bad. I bought a coffee and put«cream» but I’m pretty sure it was some type of non dairy creamer based on the taste. I don’t like the fake stuff so don’t try to pass it off as real cream.

Come here for the croissant sandwiches!!! I ordered the number 2. The boyfriend ordered the same but added bacon. You can share a sandwich if you choose to eat just right. Eat a whole one if you’re hungry. The croissants are on the larger side and the cheese is melted onto the sausage, on top of that luscious egg. It just a hole in the wall donut shop on the corner of a street in the not so fancy neighborhood. But really this place makes me happy. YUM!

I saw this donut store on the corner as I was driving along Bayshore Blvd. I stopped in with my newspaper and bought coffee and a donut. I was the only customer in the store. An Asian girl with glasses asked me what I wanted and I pointed at the donut in the large display case. She then stood up, walked to the right of the display case, and got a donut off a tray, not out of the display case. I sat down, read my paper, and while drinking the coffee and eating the donut, I noticed something peculiar. All the regular customers who were recognized were greeted by name and their donuts were taken from the large display case. Of the other customers, some were given donuts from the tray and some were given donuts from the display case. I suspect the donuts in the large display case are fresh, made that day, while the donuts on the tray are day olds. Since customers are treated differently and receive preferential treatment with the donuts they receive, I will never stop in here again.

You know a doughnut place is good when you see cops and Muni drivers there. It is right by the end of the Muni track and on more than one occasion I’ve seem them jump off, run in, and grab a bag of doughnuts and back to their car. This is the perfect classic doughnut shop. All the classics are there and solid. Their apple fritters are pretty much perfect(a TAD too heavy on the sweet glaze). They have a great dough to crispy parts ratio and have never been over oily like you sometimes find. My go to old school shop.

The display case was fairly empty. I don’t know if I made it there after the rush or they just don’t stock a lot of items. Got 2 old fashion chocolate(good), 2 crumb cake donuts(good) and 2 chocolate cake donuts(good) The price was fair but I’d rather go to Jim Georgies where i usually go on san bruno.

The glazed donut is worth coming here for. It’s huge, fresh, and really cheap. If you are having a hard time finding this place(my GPS wouldn’t find it), the intersection is Sunnyvale. Parking was easy to find on the street. Cash only!

What are signs of a great donut shop? 1. Long lines at 5AM 2. Lots of police officers come in as regular customers 3. Double parking around the business because some people just need that donut/coffee/pastry before heading out. 4. People eating donuts while ordering more to bring to work. 5. Pink boxes!(Well, for me that’s a big deal.) 6. Staff work quickly, even if you’re ordering 4 dozen donuts.(It’s the person that’s ordering who’s slow.) Yes, this Happy Donut location has all of that. Of course this place has the lone blemish of being cash only. Why do the cash only places always have the tasty snacks? Sure the area isn’t nice and clean and necessarily safe to be in in the wee hours, but this is my neighborhood. If I have to work early I scrounge up enough change for an old-fashioned chocolate glaze.
