I only went the one and very last time with my partner to this event in September a few months after moving to the bay area the first time in 2008. We had a blast! We socialized with the bearish friends that we’ve spoken to on the internet, and even met a few new ones on the way. Paul, Matt, Ed, Ben, Mike, Pete, and a few others along the way made that day the most enjoyable. The food was good, looking at the attractive men: PRICELESS. There will never be another Hairrison Street fair anytime soon in S.F., but for that day, it was very enjoyable.

As a local street fair fan of more than a decade, I like to think I’ve experienced each of them at least once. Well, Robert P. proved that wrong over Labor Day weekend by strongly encouraging me (which entailed first plying me with alcohol) to join him for this small SOMA event. My memory of the day is a little fuzzy … no wait — that describes the bare bodies of the lions and tigers and bears in attendance. It wasn’t overtly crowded and the weather was nice, but the drinks were rather expensive. Still, I have to admit that it was a pretty fun afternoon.
