I had my hair cut by Jessica and she was extremely friendly. She had netflix on and we talked about Stephen Chow movies. I have a pretty weird haircut that I’m very specific about; she was a very careful listener and did a great job. They have a really nice hand massager for your back at the end, too. And $ 20 is really, really cheap for a haircut in this area(Cheaper than supercuts!)

Best haircut I’ve ever had. Joey was amazing. 78 year old gentleman who is retired but loves his craft and he is an expert at it. Takes your input then takes his time, but respects your’s. Couldn’t recommend him more. If you make an appointment show up or be decent and cancel if you can’t make it. Don’t stand him up. What a great haircut. I’ll be back.

Great old fashion barber. Joey is very nice and provides great service. Takes time to give you a good solid cut but is efficient and gets you out of there in a reasonable amount of time. Downtown location is super accessible. I often drop-in just before lunch.

Great local barber. Old school flavor, and often available for a walk-in, which is perfect for an on-to-work, or a lunch-time trim. The price is good, and he is efficient. Make sure to call out exactly what you want, and you are likely to get the cut that you are looking for. Don;t be afraid to advise if you expect the cut to look a bit different than it turns out, he will happily make the edits you ask for.

Just what I needed from a barber in the Financial District: a good haircut and easy-in, easy-out. No frills, called right before I went and they cut my hair over lunch no problem. Love the massage thing after the cut, didn’t want to go back to work! The bottom line was Joey was fantastic and very welcoming to new customers. The cut was perfect and the price was only 20 bucks — I’ll be back!

My hair looks good and Joey did a good job. I liked that he uses a suction tube to send cut hair into a vacuum. That’s very funny. This would have been a perfect haircut but I took off a star because it’s $ 25. That’s more than Super Cuts. Now this is really a hole in the wall and it says«barber shop» not salon. I obviously chose it to get a cheaper cut. I wish I hadn’t tipped the guy but it’s really out of habit.

Good solid haircut for a good price. Joey is friendly, and most importantly, meticulous and consistent with his haircuts.

I’ve been going to Joey from his time at Arcade to his new spot. I’ve never had a bad haircut and will continue to go to him as long as he cuts hair.

From the old school cut complete with the warm shaving cream and the straight razor, to the sports spectating and talk, to the shoulder rub finish with the magic glove(yes at first it was a bit weird but its great and is all part of the program that brings you back) this is the best value in San Francisco. I use to work in the city so it made complete sense to walk a couple blocks to see him — now I work in sausalito and it still makes complete sense to make the trip in to see him. Joey knows what cooks!

Great Magazine selection, you can catch the game and get a great cut! Joey the jack of all trades! It may be a one man barber, but its a great spot to just relax and kick back with a great friend. Joey’s a sports man so he’ll talk shop with you! And the handmassage thing that he finishes with is awesome! A definite must if you’re in the Finacial District.

I’ve been trusting Joey with the top of my head for several years now, so I feel eminently qualified to post a review. I started when he was at Arcade, and of course followed him to new locations — and now to his own shop. Personality: It’s always fun and relaxing to hang out with Joey for half an hour or so. He always remembers enough of my family life to ask the right questions. Ambiance: the new spot(Hair Sensation) is pretty cool. It’s not luxurious, but it is fun to sit and watch people walk by on Bush. It’s intimate — just me and Joey, and the scene outside the door. Technical skills: Joey always finds a way to transform me from Street Bum into Dashing Model(well…at least my hair) in the course of 30 minutes. And when I get back to the office, everyone says«NICE haircut!». My only regret is that I don’t visit often enough! Bottom line: trust him. You will NOT regret it. And the price? Way too low. I think he should raise his prices because we need him to flourish!

Elvis music, a straight edge shave, excellent magazines and a consistently pro haircut from Joey(formerly of Arcade) every time. Don’t let the small space fool you, this place has everything you need for an excellent cut and a nice break from work.

Joe from Arcade moved here — he is the best — been getting my hair cut with him with him for 12 years and would never leave him — he is personable, thorough and great!

Joey from Arcade Barbers just took over this one chair barber shop in the Fi Di. It’s a great spot on Bush near Kearny where you can get a great old school hair cut from one of the best barbers in the City. Joey has all the trimmers, razors, and scissors to tame your mane. I’ve never walked out looking less than awesome. Ask for the shoulder massage with the electric hand thingy. Kinda weird but you’ll dig it. All for a very reasonable price. Call ahead so you don’t have to wait.
