Hair By Jan’nise

Jan’nise is a very knowledgeable stylist and I’m extremely pleased with her work. I’m here in SFO for a few months and choosing Jan as my hairstylist was a very good decison after searching Unilocal for hours.
I’ll definitely recommend her for natural or chemical type hair!

This review is long overdue! I went to Jan’nise about a month ago and planning to go back this weekend. I had tried a couple of places before and was so disappointed that I decided to cut all of my hair. Eventually it grew back and I was back on my search for a newc stylist… Jan’nise is super professional and knowledgeable. I came to her with natural hair in need of a structured cut. We discussed my options and she gave me the price for each of them so I could pick based on my finances. She gave me a few tips on how to save my style as long as possible and also gave great products advices, I bought one of them and my hair look great and grew so much in just a month! On top of that, she is super nice!

I am so happy I found Jan’nise! I live in the East Bay and decided to travel over an hour to give her a shot because I have been looking for a stylist who knows how to CARE for natural African American hair. Jan’nise is exactly the kind of stylist I was looking for. She’s professional, on time, friendly and she knows what she is talking about. I walked out of her salon with the healthiest head of hair that I have had in years. I will definitely being making the trek back to see her.

So I took about a year off from getting hair extensions (Weave). But of course when I decided to go back Hair by Ja’niece was my first choice. She has an assistant now and this girl is awesome. She used a Quick, neat and unique braid pattern. Of course my i stall by Ja’niece is amazing. Check her out if you’re in Noe Valley. She does amazing and unique color as well.

Jan’nise is a woman who knows what she is doing! She did my first weave and I got lots of compliments on it. When I called and told her I wanted to cut my hair and dye it blue she did not hesitate and did an AMAZING job. I love my hair and highly recommend Jan’nise especially if you’re a black girl living in the city and looking for a reasonably priced hairdresser.

I’m new in town and have been looking for a new stylist. I visited Jan’nise in September and again last weekend. For both visits, she was very professional and there’s really no wait time. 1^st time she start working on me 5min after my arrival and the 2^nd time I was late but she still managed to start on my hair 5min after my arrival. I needed a wash and style (I have a full weave-​14in). All I can say is that she hooked me up both times. My hair looked beautiful!!! She also gave me tips in managing my hair in between visits (I’m new to wearing weaves as well-​so imagine my fear of finding a new stylist in a new town). I will definitely be back. Been going to Jan’nise for about 8 months. She brought my dull, dry and damaged hair back to life. She is absolutely a hair artist. She knows hair. She suggests styles and treatments to strengthen, protect and grow your hair. I never feel pressured for any service. She is all about taking care of the client and meeting the client’s wants and needs. I highly recommend her for your hair needs whether you have natural, chemical or weaves.

Jan nise does amazing work. After living in the Bay Area for 4 years and tried many different stylist for weaving, I had to move to Seattle to finally find a stylist that knows what’s she’s doing with natural hair and weaving. I moved to Seattle in January and decided I was going to go natural. That didn’t work out so on a visit to San Francisco I decided to check out Unilocal and saw Jan nise and loved the photos so I sent her a message for an appointment. I was in luck– she was available!
She knows what she is doing. She’s also a professional. She gave me some tips on how to care for my natural hair. If I wear my natural hair out again
I would def trust her to take care of it.
I had her do a weave. Wow! I’m in love with how natural the weave looks. It’s flat, no bumps and no tracks showing. I live in Seattle now but worth a plane flight for my next hair appointment. I’m hooked! Happy I finally found Someone who understands my hair. And that’s hard to find. Give her a try I’m so glad I did! Left the shop feeling like a superstar. Thanks Jan nise!

I found the wonderful Jan’nise on Unilocal.I’m natural & I was looking for someone to cut my hair because I hadn’t been to a salon in years. I read her reviews on Unilocal (which were good) & the salon was close to home, so I said let me give her a try. It’s just hair I thought. Well let me say she was professional, timely & she basically changed my life. Lol I got a «tapered cut» that I adore. Thanks Hun for being a gem.

Once again Miss Jan’s is has done it again… I came in sick and all and left wondering, do I really feel better or is it just my hair?! it’s the hair! Full weave slight leave out, got my hair cut braided up and sewn back in. I came with it washed or I would be got that too! But once again real hair healthy and weave on point! And as you see my last review was 3months ago. I told u mine always last 3months.

I had the most enjoyable experience with Miss Jan’nise! Her gift is beyond amazing! I hadn’t been in a salon in over 10 years because I don’t trust just anybody in my hair! I got a install of 18′ beautiful Brazilian curly hair. #1. She directed me to a affordable site where I can purchase my hair and the hair is of the highest quality! #2. NOT only did she install but she took care of my natural hair as well. She gave me some helpful tips of care. #3. THE INSTALL IS AMAZING! I left with a feeling of excitement, glamor and gorgeous! ! I’ve tried pretty much ever salon in SF that does African American hair, but along with that have had to deal with so much unprofessionalism. I had resigned myself to putting up with disappointment and a general lack of business ethics until I found Jan’nise. What a breath of fresh air! She was on time for our appointment and walked me through each of the products she was using on my hair and why. She deep conditioned my hair and then installed my weave in a little over 3 hours. She is a perfectionist and made little fixes to my new hairstyle — fixes other stylists had lead me to believe were unnecessary. To say I LOVE my new hair would be an understatement.
