Su really knows what she’s doing. She’s very welcoming and friendly no matter how busy she is. She ‘s consistent when you’ve dialed in a style you want to stick with, but she’s up for trying a new direction if you can describe it or show her a picture. She’s fast, and really pays attention to detail. Just a real pro. I’ve been going to her for months, and she’s never let me down. The price is very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Su was very accommodating and let me have a walk-​in appointment despite her last scheduled client not even being done yet. She was helpful in recommending what lengths and style to cut my hair. I really liked the haircut and will definitely be returning. The salon has a cute interior and Su is the only stylist so you know you will be getting consistent quality styling each time. Last, the price is reasonable for the area and on the more affordable end which is nice.

My boyfriend’s hair looks great after getting it cut from Su! I’m glad he found someone he can go to who listens to how he wants his hair to look and can actually make it happen. She’s also available on Sunday’s which works so well for when he needs to get a last minute haircut. Thanks Su!

Sue gives 10⁄10 haircuts. She’s friendly and is super accommodating on appointments. Most of my appointments are same day appointments. Coming from a barber that you had to book at least a few weeks in advance, I found same day appointments to be a huge luxury. And she definitely doesn’t slack on quality. After my last haircut my brother commented, «that’s the best haircut you ever gotten.» Thanks sue! Highly recommend.

I shopped a while for a good stylist when I first moved to San Francisco and am glad to have found Su. My hair is a little hard to cut because I have a bit of an odd headshape, and I’m really bad at communicating what I want. But Su figured it out for me.
She’s experienced, patient, friendly and nice. She’s my favorite hairdresser of all time and I’ve never left disappointed. I’ve moved to San Mateo but still come back to the city every month because nobody else I go to does nearly as good a job!

Was an awesome experience and have been back ever since! Sue is super responsive and flexible which makes it really easy to schedule things compared to other places around.

Haight Salon: best damn haircut I’ve had in SF. Su is my favorite stylist in the city. Great prices, styles, drop-​ins or appointments. Wonderful location on Valencia. Today after my haircut I wandered into the mission to do some shopping and get lunch afterwards. Really a perfect excuse to get into a part of the city I love.
I work in the film industry, and whether I need a clean hairstyle to pitch a new project, or just want her to copy a look my new favor the actor is sporting, she gets the job done every time with perfect results. She will work with hard to find a style that looks good on you.
I highly recommend this Salon to both men and women. My girlfriend goes here as well and couldn’t be more pleased with Su’s attention to detail. Drop in and you’ll be pleasantly surprised with a great new look!

I tried a handful of places to get my haircut when I first moved to the city, but after finding Haight Salon, I never looked back. I have a pretty round head so a good haircut makes all the difference in the world to me, and Su always does a great job. She listens carefully to my requests and makes helpful recommendations when I am unsure. Her haircuts are great, quick, and fairly inexpensive.
I always enjoy catching up with Su when I come in. She is very friendly and I always leave feeling great. Highly recommended.

If you’re new to SF or changing barbers because your old one moved out/​across town, I’d definitely recommend Su at Haight Salon. It’s located about a 10 minute Über/​Lyft away from the 4th and King Caltrain stop.
I’ve been going to Su for about three years now and have had a great experience every time I drop in. If I’m ever headed back to work or somewhere else in the city immediately following my haircut, Su takes the time to rinse /​shampoo my hair before I leave.

Probably the only hair salon for men open on a Sunday afternoon. I needed a quick fresher and Su was good. A little chatty I guess but I think thats usual for all the salons. I got cut up a little too short than my taste but maybe I didn’t specify clearly what I wanted. Overall, not a bad experience.
Oh, and its a very pricey.

I found Su on Unilocal when I first moved to San Francisco. That was three years ago, and I’ve been going to her every since. I’m not even the kind of person who usually has a go-​to hairdresser.
She is incredibly thorough and sweet. She gives a really relaxing wash beforehand, and I always know her tools will be in perfect shape (I was worried about past haircuts when I STILL left with split ends). Whether it’s been a trim or a whole new look, I’ve always been very pleased with the result.
Su is precise and thoughtful, and she either gives me a free blowout at the end or makes sure I walk out with styled hair at the very least. I’m so glad I started going to her. I’ve recommended friends to go, too, and the ones who have gone have enjoyed it, too.
Compared to other salons in the area, she is still very reasonable. Support her local business! Check out Su’s shop!
